Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

EastEnders has never gone fantastical before, in almost 40 years. There’s always a first time, though.

Yes is Harry still a mechanic? If not, who is working at the Arches - no one by the sound of it.

Ruby would surely have been in a mother and baby unit in jail, she can't have shared a cell with Chrissie for long (although... this is EastEnders...)

I agree re Linda and the 'Christmas Carol' option.

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2024 09:17

Martin said that Ruby had been in a mother and baby unit.
At least it's out in the open about martins intentions with the birth certificate stitch up now Ruby knows about it. I imagined weeks of him trying to win her round and being dad of the year. She won't trust any of them now and go back to being mean Ruby especially as Roman doesn't need the liver node operation.
I wonder if she'll come back to live on the square ?

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2024 09:25

The fast forwards episode was a first and sort of worked , I did read about fans being able to influence an outcome to a storyline next year by voting or something, although that might be just Facebook speculation !
A kind of ' Christmas Carol ' story with Linda might be fun : they have a graveyard at the church they go to when they get married for the big old ' pointing at the grave ' scenes
Phil could be Jacob Marley , he is her sponser sometimes
Elaine or Johnny present ghost ( you shall die Linda )
Ken , past ghost although that might be very weird / wrong ? Sharon ?
Not sure for future? Kim ? She'd make a good ghost. Brutal one !!

Southeastdweller · 30/11/2024 09:32

What was the fast forward episode @the80sweregreat ?

South, I meant the one in February last year when the six had that vision of Christmas 2023. We saw the cufflinks and they were in the Vic

Southeastdweller · 30/11/2024 11:22

Thanks, I was thinking there was a fantasy episode I’ve missed. So ‘A Christmas Carol’ Albert Square style would still be a huge departure for EE but I can see it working. In any case, spare part Linda is on her way out.

Just saw a headline on a news feed that Grant is coming back for Christmas. That would be fabulous. The story was in the Sun, so I won't read it. I hope it's true 🤞

Rainbow321 · 30/11/2024 13:49

He's coming back to head a look back documentary , not as Grant Michell in the episodes.

NoisyBrain · 30/11/2024 14:31

Ooh I like the idea of the Christmas Carol episode! <makes mental note to watch the Muppets version soon>

I really don't want them to kill off Linda, mainly because I'm clinging to the idea of Mick not being dead dead, just Eastenders dead, and rocking up on a boat from France at some point next year 😄

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2024 14:58

'A Linda Christmas'..
I'm not too fussed if Mick never returns really as they had run out of stories for him.
I thought I'd miss Linda , but sounds as if she's as annoying as ever ( reading the spoilers ) so maybe I wouldn't ! They need her to become sober ; she has been drinking for years now and not really over come her demons. Killing Ken didn't help and sounds as if Bernie will be as horrible as ever too.
Maybe a new love interest for her might be a good idea, but she is on self destruct at the moment

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2024 15:00

I've never seen the Muppet version of a Christmas Carol , but it's meant to be good !
I only saw Elf last year , so late to the party for that one ! lol

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2024 15:06

A Christmas Carol/It's a Wonderful Life version would transform the way Linda sees things, so she sees her life is worth living and stays on the wagon. She has gone so rock bottom that is the only way she could go forward really, it's that or goodbye.

Some spoilers for the next couple of weeks

Sharon and Teddy become close and he buys her a jumper for Christmas ! ( may have made that up )
Nicola in the basement isn't happy and falls out with them both
She is a bit of a feisty one. I'd be wary of her

the80sweregreat · 30/11/2024 15:08

Sounds as if Phil is on the sauce too
:(

Anyonecanfallinlove · 30/11/2024 16:16

That Linda idea would be good as noone would be expecting it. I don't mind Linda and I feel the six story was unfair to her but she needs to stop drinking. I don't think Mick should come back. Linda needs a fresh start and to get out of the pub, maybe she will get with Phil. He does have lots of room at his place.

Southeastdweller · 30/11/2024 16:40

There’s nothing for Linda anymore in the square, even if she sees the error of her ways. We hardly ever see her kids. I do think Kellie Bright finished filming a while ago (nothing confirmed anywhere, just my guess) and that’s why she filmed the Sewing Bee Celeb special that’s on next month - she had the time to film it, it’s a paying job, and it’s going to be good for her profile.

OP posts:
NeighbourHitMyCar · 30/11/2024 17:37

It's just a theory but I think if they were going to really kill off Linda then they wouldn't openly film her funeral like that so it was posted over the news...they'd keep it under wraps for shock value

So I was just trying to think of a reason they might go to the trouble of filming her funeral but for her still be alive

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2024 18:02

I don't think an episode of Sewing Bee is significant, Jamie Borthwick has spent three months on Strictly and still managed to film as Jay (last week they said he was very busy doing both).

I agree with @NeighbourHitMyCar that's why I think Kellie isn't leaving.
Linda is a huge character, they would either announce her exit in advance (like with Mick), or if it was intended to be a shock exit, nothing would be leaked.

Southeastdweller · 30/11/2024 18:36

SCD is filmed in the same building as EE, it’s never been a problem for others to film both TV shows (e.g Emma Barton, Kellie and loads of others).

Yeah I’m coming round now to the Albert Square version of ‘A Christmas Carol’, but as Linda’s swan song, so maybe she’ll go and live with Nancy or something similar after she has her epiphany. They’re keeping it quiet as part of the Christmas ‘festivities’ - I guess the speculation helps with the ratings.

OP posts:
Anyonecanfallinlove · 30/11/2024 19:34

The christmas sewing bee would have been filmed a while ago, possibly once the last series ended and taken a week to film. I would guess it was filmed when Linda went on the recent break. I don't think that gives any indication to Linda leaving although there's a possibility she has left

Shellingbynight · 30/11/2024 21:27

@Southeastdweller But Strictly requires huge mental and physical effort for weeks on end with a live show every week. The Sewing Bee is just one pre-recorded episode of sewing.

the80sweregreat · 01/12/2024 12:42

Kellie Bright did Strictly in 2015 and was runner up. She started EE in 2013.
I had forgotten that she did this show and how good she was tbh.
I'm surprised that Danny Dyer hasn't done it. I think he'd be good

MrsPeterHarris · 01/12/2024 15:33

I remember Kellie Bright on it - she was great!
