OK forgive me as my mind is going, and I've failed to recall names of everything. But how come new doctor (him from Call the Midwife) was the only one wearing a tabard for the emergency/crisis they called because of the number of patients?

Wandering around with "Doctor in Charge" while no one else had their role displayed was odd!!

Looked at what’s happening next week and it says Rida is a band 6 nurse so looks like she’s back, yay

I feel sorry for Jan the others seem a bit arsey towards her. Is she meant to forgive Indie for her part in the burglary?

When they had the party for the foster child, there were 4 beds and only 1 had a patient in a place I'd never seen on screen before.

Yes I get it now
Your post was Saturday morning so it hadn't been shown on Tele that's why I didn't know what you were on about

Doubleraspberry · 22/06/2025 08:23

I think it was meant to be the children’s ward. She was supposed to go to a home (I think I caught that) but in the end left herself with someone we’re assuming is dodgy.

It wasn't a children's ward
There were adults there

purpleme12 · 22/06/2025 23:59

So Rida is coming back!

Perhaps they remember Jan’s own fairly recent storyline when she stole drugs for her son who was in prison and told her he would be attacked without them, and got her wife beaten up as part of the whole mess, and therefore think she might show more compassion for a vulnerable young woman being manipulated by a criminal family member?

A general ward then. She was an in-patient.

I thought people on here had said Sarah Seggari had put a goodbye message on Instagram?

I posted about that but I've gone back and I guess it's ambiguous, maybe just a thank you to the series?

That last sentence would definitely make me think she was leaving!

spiderlight · 23/06/2025 13:42

What was the deal with Indie and Cam'a dropped contact lens/glasses? Is there going to be a romantic story there, do we think?

Maybe it'll be the reverse of Ethan's glasses . Cam will change personality.

OP posts:
bizzey · 23/06/2025 17:27

The contact lens /glasses scene was ridiculous!? !

New contacts now...not a chance you would find it and be able to put it back in your eye .

If you lost one ...you would normally have to take the other one out to be able to use your glasses properly.

Most contact wearers keep their spare glasses /lenses in a work bag ...not their tunic pocket !

Random glasses situation..that none of us had even known Cam wore CL 's .

So many storylines that ,that could have come up in !!

purpleme12 · 23/06/2025 18:18

And it seemed rather unnatural as well that scene with the contact lense! So weird!

WhatICallMyUsername · 23/06/2025 18:31

I said the same @bizzey, why didn’t he take the other one out! It was a very odd scene with Indie’s expression. I couldn’t tell if she was embarrassed because she fancied him with glasses or was trying not to laugh as they did look like 1980s NHS glasses 🤣

I’d forgotten about that 😂

AnImaginaryCat · 23/06/2025 22:42

I actually felt a lot of last episode there was many scenes that felt disjointed - like the build up to it was skipped.

It was overall a bit ot an odd one, see also above my question about Flynn and his tabard and the mayor incident.

Does Teddy still have a medical (heart?) condition? If so surely that rules him out of HART.

That's what I thought. If I recall it was touch and go if he would even be allowed to be a paramedic at all so surely HART is out.

LIZS · 26/06/2025 21:34

And Iain recently sustained head injuries and had a lengthy stay in hospital.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2025 19:52

I got a little confused. Often happens

why was Nicole so upset over mags? Dying

did she foster her ? She didnt went to help the girl who turned 18

esp when calling her weird names as well

wondering if that’s the booze story

and yes surely Ian having a bad head injury would mean he couldn’t transfer to that job

card contact /glasses. Weird. Maybe he actually had an eye infection in real life and couldn’t wear contacts for a few days

purpleme12 · 28/06/2025 20:01

Yes Mags was her foster mum.

She just didn't want to help the girl because she couldn't go back to that part of her life. It was too much for her

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2025 20:22

So she wasn’t a good foster mum then do you think @purpleme12

purpleme12 · 28/06/2025 20:31

I think she was a good foster mum yes

I think Nicole didn't want to help the girl because apart from it being a big ask anyway, the girl could have a troubled background so be hard to look after etc, and also it could be that the girl would just remind Nicole of a hard time in her life that was very chaotic and hard. Because of being in care and the reasons she was in care.

WhatICallMyUsername · 28/06/2025 23:39

I know this isn’t the point but why did Ngozi have a “big coat” on when she left the guys house, if she’d been out the night before would she have been wearing it in June
