I meant Jacob. Sorry! William Beck is incredible as Dylan.

Phew, thought we’d have to kick you off the thread 😂

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 12/09/2024 06:40

So did Cam ever tell Rida and Jodie what Jamie did to him or have they just all made up now, no need to explain why he’s been looking like a lost little boy for months?

😄 I was thinking maybe we all need to come together and stage an intervention on @spiderlight.

No @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross I don't think he has. I feel it'll probably be something that's come up in a few episodes though. That storyline hasn't been put to bed yet.

Please don't tar and feather me!! I did an actual little scream of horror when I read back what I'd posted. I bloody love Dylan!

purpleme12 · 12/09/2024 21:20

Can't believe we started a new thread so far in advance! 😂

FizzingAda · 13/09/2024 08:56

Been on holiday, so just caught up with the last three episodes.
glad Cam has come to terms with his past. He is standing straighter with his boulders back now instead of creeping around the department.
the old couple dying together was very moving.
Dyland and Sophia - DH and myself just shouted 'Noooooooo' at the TV. Don't do it, Dylan, she's not right for you.
hated the pep talk at the end, and the team marching along like a bunch of gladiators. Sentimental twaddle.
and what was that spooky snow filled trailer at the end, with blood in the snow? 🤷🏼‍♀️.
how I will miss Dylan until December. I only have my cocker spaniel to cuddle, who is named after him .

daffodilandtulip · 15/09/2024 07:35

Been on holiday and was confused to see two episodes on iplayer. Reading the thread, I'm assuming you've all seen to the end of the series?

The girl with the police was so random. Just thrown in there and half arsed.

I think with Nicole, she was blocking out that it was all happening, so she hadn't mentally prepared, which is why she acted so out of character. But no way would Tariq have not fetched help.

How is there now a skills lab when last month they were practising suturing on hot dog sausages in the break room?

Purple Nurse saying "maybe I shouldn't go to St James's". Yes you bloody should, and leave Dylan alone. I think she'll make him drink and it's all a scam so she can ruin his life for not being nice to her at the start.

The slow mo scene was so bloody cringe.

They're over egging how perfectly Our Aveline runs the department but when you compare her to the disaster that was Charlie, she can stay. I think she's quite true to life to the old "firm but fair, break a few rules" matrons that were around when I was first a nurse.

Can't believe we started a new thread so far in advance! 😂

It's to fill the void - while we wallow in the emptiness of our Dylanless lives and seeing everything in slo mo. Well that or because the other thread was coming to an end and we all wrote about the need for a new thread and it's new title. Hard to work it out the reason, you silly sausage.

The ending was incredibly weird wasn't it. It was so like a wrap up if it wasn't for the (equally weird) snow covered next series bit I'd have belvedere that was the end of Casualty.

Maybe it is - and come this December we'll find a new Casualty opening with them all walking en mass towards the helicopter off to stop a meteor hitting earth or battle through arctic conditions to fight aliens trying to take over the world (and happened to land their mother spaceship in Holby)

On the subject of "the need for a new thread and it's new title", have we ever thought about what the thread should be called when Casualty eventually announces it's ending?

Edited

'Are we all agreed? Time of death, "Date of last episode"'

I'd be so sad though! Even when it's bad, it's such an institution. I still mourn for Holby City!

daffodilandtulip · 15/09/2024 16:33

Casualty. Can. Not. End.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2024 21:05

Fuck me. Been rewatching footballers wives. And thinking Jermaine was familiar in a 5

Forgot to say a few weeks ago, this Stevie V Siobhan storyline reminds me of a thread that could be on Mumsnet...

AIBU: To not want to work with the Dr who sh*gged my husband...

Any other Stevie/Siobhan thread-title nominations are welcome 😂

Overall, it's a very messy situation.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/10/2024 17:25

Tho to be fair she did chuck him as soon as she knew

He's the arsehole as married

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/12/2024 20:31

It's back !!!

Whoop

Next sat 21st dec

It's Christmas in the ED and with an emergency blood shortage

Johndoeskellington · 14/12/2024 21:16

Parking myself ready to welcome Dylan and Iain back into my life

MrsMoastyToasty · 14/12/2024 21:50

Anyone else feel like they're coming around from a Strictly induced coma?

WhatICallMyUsername · 14/12/2024 23:08

After the ending of the last one then, presumably a paramedic is going to die. Wonder which one!! It feels an absolute age since it was on, just checked and it was 7th September!

No

But I don't watch it 😂

spiderlight · 14/12/2024 23:55

Awesome!! 😁

AnImaginaryCat · 15/12/2024 08:25

I can't recall what happened at the end of the last series. This is why there shouldn't be a large gap between them!!

Just recall.a weird snowing and blood scene. And I'm slightly fearful I've made that up!!

I remember that being the cheery Christmas teaser too.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 16/12/2024 07:03

The Christmas one is about blood shortages, apparently, and sounds as if it’s going to be one of those worthy ones where they weave in real life stories. I don’t mean to be insensitive, but I don’t really watch Casualty for a lecture on why the NHS is broken and how we should all be fixing it. So I might be giving this one a miss and checking on here for any important plot developments, so I can rejoin the series when it returns to being a drama rather than a PSA.

The lectures are turning me off it now. It's why I stopped watching New Amsterdam and The Resident too, they became so earnest.

One more sleep

Hope tomorows episode is good
