She was most likely very dehydrated as well .

FagsMagsandBags · 15/06/2025 04:33

I think she was being sick and brought up blood which is not necessarily as dangerous as it sounds but we don't know how bad her drinking had been. I don't think she's ill in another way. I think she's very sick because of her alcoholism.

spiderlight · 14/06/2025 23:31

Didn't Iain bugger off to HEMS or something once before and then come back?

I thought so. Prepandemic.

purpleme12 · 15/06/2025 09:55

Yes he definitely was with HEMS or HART previously
I think it was HART but it was one of the two

WhatICallMyUsername · 15/06/2025 11:32

It was HEMS as I had never heard of HART until last night 🤣

purpleme12 · 15/06/2025 11:36

Oh ok
I knew it was one of the two!

Peppermintlover · 15/06/2025 13:35

I have loved the last two episodes (just caught up). Felt like back to the good old days of Casualty with shock and peril moments. Casualty at its best for me.
I think it’s clever how they portray how busy Flyn’s role is and how hard it is for him to get time with his family or leave on time. I feel this too sometimes in my job, promised to take my girls to dancing and aim to leave at a set time but things keep landing on my plate and I can’t and the guilt sets in. This situation in a hospital is even more so as literally life and death!
Do you think something bad is in the vapes? Maybe that is causing the breathing issues. As people clubbing etc, paramedics assuming it’s drugs but could be vapes? We will see.
I want Stevie back, I love her. Not long to wait hopefully, I will miss Rida and I really want a good, happy storyline for Rash!

Doubleraspberry · 15/06/2025 13:42

Yeah, the screen was full of calls relating to drugs not breathing issues I think. Supply and Demand is a call to that being the theme of the next box set (along with the NHS‘s own supply issues).

I don’t know why the couple with CF weren’t meant to see each other. Can anyone tell me why?

I can understand Jan being furious with Indy at first but am I the only person who remember the sort of shit she pulled when her son was demanding money/favours? It’s such a repeat of her storyline that you’d think she’d be the best person to understand how this sort of thing happens.

Littletreefrog · 15/06/2025 14:04

@Doubleraspberry the CF sufferers shouldn't be in the same room because she could have passed whatever bug/infection she had on to him which would be dangerous for him with him having CF

Littletreefrog · 15/06/2025 14:06

purpleme12 · 15/06/2025 09:55

He was with HEMS previously. HART is Hazardous Area response Team which is what Iain does anyway(although he shouldn't) seemingly daily so actually probably safer because he will be doing it with the right equipment.

purpleme12 · 15/06/2025 14:07

Yes someone above said it was HEMS
I knew it was one of the two
I know what HART is but yes it does suit him

Doubleraspberry · 15/06/2025 14:12

Was it that simple? Thanks. I thought it might be more complicated.

I’m surprised the BBC has got the budget for Ian to be in helicopters all the time!

bizzey · 15/06/2025 14:20

Something Nicole said got me thinking.

When Ngozi said she was fine , Nicole replied
" You can't kid a kidder "

Have we ever seen Nicole drink ?

🤔🤔🤔...I am sure we have and I am just overth the fact that she is an alcoholic in recovery .

spiderlight · 15/06/2025 15:19

I had to look up the CF thing - so sad. Apparently people with CF tend to incubate bugs in their lungs that are relatively harmless to most people but can badly affect other sufferers, so they have to stay 6ft apart. That must be incredibly isolating - not being able to be close to other people who understand the condition from their own experience 😥

AnImaginaryCat · 15/06/2025 15:35

It didn't record for me. (Well more i didn't think that because it's a new series I should have set up a new series recording!!). I can't use BBC iPlayer, so if there's anyone with an amazing memory can you summarise the episode, please?

@AnImaginaryCat I'll give it a go

It's 3 months later

Jan is pissed off at Indie for the burglary thing and has basically said there isnt a job for her at that station when she qualifies.

Indie got distracted when restocking supplies so Iain didn't have the drugs he needed later. He lied to cover for her but Jan found out.

The hospital seems to not have any solbutimol but new character pharmacist found some a Vet was going to sell them but Finlay didn't sign off on it so the lost out and didn't have enough to treat patients.

All the paramedics went to an accident where Iain disregarded orders and climbed up a crane to save someone which seems to have made him decide he wants to join HART which Faith is annoyed at as he didn't discuss it with her.

At the crane accident Indie uncovered a shipment of heroin but Jan remains unimpressed.

Ngozi and Nicole both missed a patient having something serious wrong with them and then blamed each other. Dylan tried to get Ngozi to go to a meeting but she refused. She is adamant she isn't drinking but we saw her throwing up.

New character pharmacist also queried Rash over the fact he was reducing his dose of anti depressants and said she could help him if he needed any advice etc. so seems like new character pharmacist may be here to stay.

I think that's about it.

Excellent summary and I hope pharmacist does stay, though in hospitals pharmacy is behind glass and VERY strict about giving out medication.

Eldest child ruining the blinds was a stupid distraction but she may have undiagnosed ADHD.

It didn’t record for me either but luckily we have iPlayer. It pisses me off no end it doesn’t link when it’s the new storyline, it’s still the same sodding programme!!

AnImaginaryCat · 15/06/2025 21:46

Thank you that's brilliant @Littletreefrog - thank you. Tell me is Rida gone?

Nooooooooooo!! Oh I'm so disappointed- i was holding out she'd decide to come back - considering it was Holby HR.

Agenoria · 16/06/2025 08:25

Holby is really going to struggle having lost its one and only surgeon.
