Just watched 2 back to back. Didn’t reliese I was so behind. Usually a week not two

finally Flynn did the right thing reporting and telling his wife about his affairs - I would have mentioned her dad as well saying he knew and trying to blackmail him

poor rida . Sean wasn’t nice telling him but equally silly having messages on phone anyone can read

indie is so stupid. Letting her dad get away

Hope she put the first aid kit away first

and G ring gone forever - poor jan

and ngozi for downing a shot

didn’t care for the wedding and now faith and Stevie have made up

Stevie having a cold shower and collapsing then going to wedding and drinking

Agenoria · 04/06/2025 08:23

Seems a bit mean if they didn't ask Charlie to the wedding.

Oh, they should absolutely have had him there, even just in the background, standing stock still and staring off into the middle distance as only Charlie can.

My car, which is a very basic model, beeps when it opens, and its lights flash. I have used this when I can't remember exactly where I parked it.

No way!!! I really was starting to think it was a TV thing.

I need that in my car - help me find it!

spiderlight · 04/06/2025 16:59

My DS's 22-year-old car does it as well. I don't know if it's a button on the key or what, but it's literally a 'Where the hell did I park it??' feature.

spiderlight · 07/06/2025 17:44

Crikey.

Nomdejeur · 07/06/2025 20:02

Why has she reacted like that? 😲

purpleme12 · 07/06/2025 21:30

She'll have had some trauma from her past where someone she knows (family member?) was an alcoholic and was shit to her/caused a load of trauma in her life. So she takes a hard line on alcoholism

Bet that's it

Edited

Guessing an alcoholic parent.

FagsMagsandBags · 07/06/2025 21:39

I had a feeling it would go that way. Gutted for both of them. I hope that Dylan takes her in for now.

Bignanna · 07/06/2025 21:43

Nicole was a cow!

InALonelyWorld · 07/06/2025 22:03

Crikey wasn't expecting Nicole's reaction, I agree it's likely a huge boundary has been crossed somewhere along the line but yikes it was brutal.

Glad the Rida and Russell situation is wrapped up now. It was a satisfying end but it was a shame no one else actually stood up and backed her claims until the very end.

Also, although it was in an awful way, I'm glad indie has been knocked down a peg. I do like her but recently she's seemed a bit to big for her boots, especially the nativity with her useless dad.

Littletreefrog · 07/06/2025 22:10

Wasn't the woman in the wheelchair who Nicole was surrogate for supposedly In a wheelchair because of something Nicole had done in the past? Maybe Nicole was a drink driver or something?

purpleme12 · 07/06/2025 22:18

Mmm I think it's someone else who was an alcoholic

hoarahloux · 07/06/2025 22:52

What?!

I was here all ready to be celebrating Russell fucking off and Rida not only winning but showing him that she's a fantastic, competent nurse - and then Nicole busts that out at the very end??

In fact, I was excited to mention that Nick Jordan's old office was seen for the first time in years! Zoe used it after Nick left but Connie and those after her didn't, iirc, so I was amazed to see the set has stayed the same for all those years!

But Nicole! That reaction was so far beyond anything I would have expected of her. Is she maybe also in recovery? Have we seen her drink? We don't know anything about her history - maybe parents who abused alcohol? It must be unbelievably serious for her to shut Ngozi down like that and kick her and Obi out without discussion. I really, truly hope this doesn't begin a relapse for Ngozi.

What an episode.

spiderlight · 07/06/2025 23:20

I think it might well be because of the friend in the wheelchair. So harsh though! Really unexpected.

It's been ages since anything crashed into the ED. I thought for a second that she was going to take out Rida, Cam and Jodie. Really intense episode! Is there a break now? I hope not.

WhatICallMyUsername · 07/06/2025 23:24

Back on next week @spiderlight with the new/next series/arc (I don’t even know what we’re supposed to be it 🤣) called Supply and Demand

hoarahloux · 07/06/2025 23:48

WhatICallMyUsername · 07/06/2025 23:24

Back on next week @spiderlight with the new/next series/arc (I don’t even know what we’re supposed to be it 🤣) called Supply and Demand

So that was the end of the... series? arc? But it's back next week? When we're down to thirty-something episodes a year... why aren't they splitting it up with the named arcs? We've had them for a while now, we know the show has limited episodes, why is its televising still so weird?

Surely they know in advance when sports features or other events will take over the usual slot?

purpleme12 · 07/06/2025 23:55

Nowadays Casualty tends to take a break in autumn. The break Tends to be when Strictly Come Dancing is on.

Then more sporadically throughout the rest of the year for example when Eurovision or big football is on and stuff like that

So yes the 'mini series' do run on from one another and the breaks don't always make sense

WhatICallMyUsername · 08/06/2025 04:32

It was off September to December last year so I guess sometimes they have to have no break to fit them all in!

spiderlight · 08/06/2025 10:21

Thanks, @WhatICallMyUsername- great username, btw. Such fun!

purpleme12 · 08/06/2025 10:29

I put that about the break in autumn in my post yesterday and that they sometimes run on from each other and the breaks in the series don't always make sense

Walkingtheplank · 08/06/2025 13:01

Has Rida left now?
Hope it doesn't revert to the Jodie Show.

spiderlight · 08/06/2025 17:13

I'm not sure. Obviously she breached the NDA but I'm sure I heard Jodie say 'At least you get to keep your job'. I guess we'll find out next week.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 08/06/2025 17:35

Rida’s agreement wouldn’t be legally binding as it needs to be signed off by a lawyer as well.

LIZS · 08/06/2025 18:03

ThatsNotMyTeen · 08/06/2025 17:35

Rida’s agreement wouldn’t be legally binding as it needs to be signed off by a lawyer as well.

Well we know notice and employment laws don’t really apply in Holby! She should have been given notice of the meeting, offered the opportunity to bring someone for support, have a lawyer review the offer and so on.
