I don't think Indie did walk away mid-shift. I think it was after her shift - Anne had been there 7 hours. And Indie might as well have been there, as she has no home to go there, not that anyone else knows that yet.

purpleme12 · 13/02/2025 08:33

No one was saying Indie had gone mid shift or that people would in reality be able to go mid shift

PP was just saying that she expected Jan to go rescue her cos it's not like Casualty adheres to reality

Optimist1 · 13/02/2025 14:28

No-one suggested to Anne that she could call and ask a friend or neighbour to come and sit with her whilst she was waiting for an ambulance. (I'm not entirely heartless, but was just musing about what I would do in her situation, given the dire state of ambulance response. )

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/02/2025 12:50

was Good and bad

bad lady left on the floor for 7hrs but yes was there no one else who could have popped in for see her

Dylan arrested and the policeman abrupt way of questioning him

not sure why Dylan didn’t leave her a message on phone saying he had been arrested

agree they looked stunned when Jodie says he was driving and nothing has happened over him crashing into the restaurant

why hasn’t he been questioned

glad she told them they slept together

purple nurse didn’t leave it long for abortion / tho sure I’ve read /heard that both pills have to be taken to work so baby might not be aborted yet

poor Dylan. He looked gutted

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/02/2025 12:50

And yes indie now has no where to live so will ambulance surf ?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 14/02/2025 12:55

Interesting, he is a bit obsessive and aggressive. I didn't think it might be a crime.

I hope someone takes Indie in before she gets herself into more troubles.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/02/2025 13:18

Dangerous driving surely or driving with undue attention /care

he crashed tho a restaurant window - still not sure how

plis she didn’t have her seatbelt on. I know don’t have to when preg but I still wore mine when went to hospital at almost 40w preg

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 14/02/2025 14:02

Indie will go and live with Jan, like all the waifs and strays do. Or with Cam and Rida.

Helpmewithmygardenplease · 15/02/2025 17:22

Nice to see Jane from Eastenders in tonight's episode. She can do a fab Scottish accent!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2025 20:12

I think she actually is Scottish and does a london accent for ee

LIZS · 15/02/2025 21:30

Is Jodie going to sleep with the consultant for the job?

LIZS · 15/02/2025 21:53

That is one big baby!

Yes Laurie is Scottish. She's a fab actress too.

My husband and I have just laughed our heads off that they have tried to pass it off as a newborn 😂.

LIZS · 15/02/2025 22:09

I'm not sure what light that brought to Jodie's story except she likes to sleep around in a crisis.

daffodilandtulip · 15/02/2025 22:22

How did she go from student midwife to a&e nurse in three years?

purpleme12 · 15/02/2025 22:26

I'm watching it and I'm 10 minutes in and I REALLY don't want to watch cancer for fucks sake

FagsMagsandBags · 15/02/2025 22:27

I'm guessing the baby with the cleft lip was the big newborn. I mean we accept that we're not going to see actual newborns when there's a casualty/CTM birth but that baby looked almost ready for her first birthday party. I'd be worried that there wouldn't be enough thread to stitch that poor mother up after having birthed something as huge as that baby.

I'm new to the thread because I didn't know it existed but it was brought up on the Call the Midwife thread this week. I love Casualty so much. Who is the syrupy nurse that everyone finds annoying. I could guess but I'm happy to be told and be wrong. In other news my crush on Dylan is massive.

purpleme12 · 15/02/2025 23:09

I don't know who you mean by the syrupy nurse who everyone finds annoying?

daffodilandtulip · 15/02/2025 23:11

@FagsMagsandBags my crush is bigger than your crush

GetDressedYouMerryGentlemen · 15/02/2025 23:38

I pointed FagsMags in this direction from the Call the Midwife thread where there was a discussion about the use of terms of endearment rather than name for patients and I commented that someone cough Faith cough is rather unpopular in these parts largely for her sugary disposition.

purpleme12 · 15/02/2025 23:40

Oh right I so did not get Faith from that description 🤣

Spidey66 · 16/02/2025 00:18

daffodilandtulip · 15/02/2025 22:22

How did she go from student midwife to a&e nurse in three years?

Possibly she trained as a nurse then did further training to be a midwife.

Spidey66 · 16/02/2025 00:29

See below...so she was possibly already a registered nurse and did further training to be a midwife. This is an alternative to doing straight midwifery training. It's actually useful when you think about it as it would mean you have a wide range of skills to care for bother mother and baby and would be invaluable in an ED setting though looks like if this was her route she was possibly stopped for completing as a midwife.

I found her response to her mums death strange but everyone grieves differently.

I didn't recognise Laurie Brett at first! But she was very believable.

As always with Casualty continuity wasn't great eg supposed to be January but clearly light and warm outside. Though noticed they mentioned the strange virus in Wuhan!
