@the80sweregreat Joe had schizophrenia-it used to be known as a 'split personality' but that's a bad description and that's not a phrase used any more.

I don't understand the reference to Freddie's bird monitoring equipment....who was it recording? David talking to Joe and Holly?

I would have thought it was more likely to pick up Cindy and David talking inside Beale's Eels? No?

The recording equipment was sitting on the table in Beales Eels so it would have picked up the conversation between David and Cindy. Freddie was told to leave and come back for it later.

Sorry for the description being wrong about Joe wicks and his diagnosis. Hope I didn't offend anyone , I didn't mean to.
I do remember his storylines being quite powerful at the time.
The recording was on the table out of sight in the pie shop and will probably have picked up Cindy and David talking and her confession about George. Ian is bound to hear most of this at some stage .. ( it's a guess , but bound to happen eventually!)

I wonder if something happens to Whitney and he ends up with the baby ,as a single dad ,that would be quite cool

Just caught up on a lot of missed episodes due to holiday. I hate it when they bring a popular character back for just a couple of episodes. Bring David back permanently and let him wreak havoc on the square like the good old days. I'm not enjoying Bianca's (let's shoehorn in some MH issues) behaviour, it's getting on my nerves. I love Denise's hair. Tommy is a good actor, I'm quite scared of him. Cindy's such a wrong 'un.

Tommy Moon is menacing , but not as bad as Keegan Taylor was at first ! He was properly scary and Honey was very frightened of him.
Tommy will either end up dead getting in with the local ' hood ' or become a softy ( after a wake up call from Phil or something!)
Alfie won't be able to control him.

Tommy is genuinely menacing isn't he. I suspect he will hurt one of the twins. He is already pushing them around but hasn't seriously hurt them yet. Kat would not report him for attacking her, but she would for hurting the boys.

One episode this week the twins jumped as Tommy approached them and it looked authentic they way they were so wary of him!
It's sad as he was portrayed as a nice kid , but it's been a slow burn with Kat being attacked by him. I suppose it'll ramp up now :(

The poor twins do look quite scared when he's around. There was an episode a few months back when he was using them as target practice with a football. The young actor is good at showing a menacing, cold demeanour. I would sleep with one eye open if I lived in that house.

It's a good slow burn storyline because I think the seeds were sown when he was exposed to so much violence living with Phil and he was kidnapped by Keeble. I couldn't believe it when Kat stayed with Phil after that happened, effectively giving Tommy the message that her relationship was more important than his safety. Alfie is very annoying but he predicted the worst would happen to the boys if Phil was in their lives. God knows how the twins will turn out.

I loved the most recent David and Bianca scenes. They seemed so genuine!

Kat's twins have been really well cast, they are cute but not annoying, and good little actors.

I hadn't thought about Tommy behaving like that due to Phil's influence - but it probably is! I thought it was supposed to be because he's Michael Moon's son, whereas the twins take after daft goodnatured Alfie.

I think Tommy’s violence started as a way to impress Phil, especially when he got into boxing and Phil was so affirming, he enjoyed the nurturing relationship with Phil and even asked if he could call him ‘dad’. He was very angry with Kat after her relationship with Phil broke up (even though Phil cheated on her) and turned his violence on her. He’s obviously influenced by the incel, ‘red pill’ online community but all the teenage boys on the show seem to be - there was that storyline with Denzel and Nugget where Amy was being bullied and ‘slut shamed’ online - the only teenage boy in their group who hasn’t really been sucked into the horrible mentality is Amy’s brother, Ricky.

Ricky is very sweet which is a miracle considering his dad is a shouty, misogynistic bully and his mum is Sam Mitchell!

Yes but however sweet Ricky is, he's still the only one to become a dad the first time he had sex aged 13!

I saw one of them in a local Am Dram musical. They were very talented.

Help. I'm confused. Again. Did Bianca refer to David Wicks as her Grandad to Layla. I thought he was her Dad?

Yes she did say he was her grandad to Priya. Not sure why.

Bianca was winding Priya up ! Although I did a double take when she said it tbh.

Just read online that Penny might be leaving to go back to Paris.

I like Penny , she's feisty but very vunerable , she craves Jack's attention but she blames him , quite rightly , for her injuries . He is blaming her for Amy's injuries , it;ll be interesting to see him grovel when he finds out the truth . Though Amy shouldn't have been in "Peggys" anyway , that is on Penny as the Manager ,

I really wish they'd properly explore the Jack & Penny dynamic as there is so much to unpick that would lead to personal growth & much happier lives for both of them. (Appreciate they're fictional characters but I'd like seeing that on screen!)

I agree the dynamic would be interesting to examine, but it would mean suffering a lot of screen time from Jack, which is bad enough - then add Penny to it. I wouldn't be watching that episode.

I am struggling to think of any positive/nice Penny has done since her return. She started out by planting drugs on Lauren and finished up being absolutely evil to Chelsea. She seems completely out for herself.
