Kat having a go at Ian
' amount of women you've had , you could start a cult ' love it

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2024 12:26

Cindy is such a bitch isn't she ?
(I quite liked Jane's cardigan, but I've never been a fashionista! lol)
Glad Bobby had a fairly good ending and not killed off , he'll be happy with Jane
Ian should ditch Cindy and move on from her totally , completely toxic and hope he discovers her affair and kicks her sorry bum into touch !

heartbroken22 · 19/09/2024 14:08

I really thought Bobby would be in it long term. Clay Milner Russell was so good!! I hope he comes back.

There's no need for Jane to be back permanently because the actor who played Bobby (he left in today's episode) decided to quit so without Bobby she doesn't have anything to stay for. But it was nice to see her today.

Oh so Bobby is going to live with Jane in the Cotswolds?

Yep, he left with her in today’s episode.

I enjoyed Ian's old fashioned 'bugger off' in today's episode.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 19/09/2024 19:57

When he said the other night ‘I’ll go and stay with my Mum’ I was like what? Laura’s been dead years! Didn’t realise he meant Jane.

Although knowing EE Laura could be secretly alive and living in the Cotswolds with Jane

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2024 19:58

A man on pointless show today called himself a ' army brat ' I was so surprised they left that in tbh!
Liked Kat saying Ian's wives could be a cult !
She is funny.

Shellingbynight · 19/09/2024 20:02

I liked that episode, Adam Woodyatt is really good when he gets something to do, he gave a great speech in the Vic. And Clay was good too in the scenes at Lucy's grave. It made complete sense for Bobby to go but he got a nice ending, and he could return at some point.

Anna 🤮 Freddie 🤮 🤮

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2024 20:13

Dunno why Ian stays with Cindy tbh.
Kathy warned him that she'd stray and she has.
I do understand why she was anti Bobby at first , but she isn't 'without sin ' herself and tried to have Ian killed once. She wasn't around for many of her children and is ultimately a bit of a mess all round.
Ian should just jack her in and find another Jane type. ( I know his not perfect , but he is better than Cindy !)

CockneyWheezer · 19/09/2024 20:15

Bye bye Drippy Bobby. Cheerio 👋

Eastie77Returns · 20/09/2024 14:57

Poor didn’t Bobby even get a Julia’s Theme exit!

Ian’s speech in the Vic was great. It was sad hearing him recount the children he’s lost. And he is right, Cindy wasn’t around for any of it so all of her outrage about poor darling Lucy (Steven is never mentioned) is ridiculous.

I agree Jumpers is a bit try too hard with the acting. I don’t know the actor but don’t think he is from (East) London as he puts a weird emphasis on words like a’int as if he’s had to really practice trying to sound authentic. Contrast with Adam Woodyat who is from Walthamstow and sounds very natural.

SagaNorensPorche · 20/09/2024 15:07

Jumpers actor is saff London I'm an East end girl so can hear it a mile off. Same with Stevie.

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 18:30

I thought that Ian did mention Steven , but I admit I wasn't concentrating very well on Thursday's episode.
I like Jumpers accent and him , but I can see he has the potential to be annoying especially as the jumper wearing is a bit silly ( for a gangster type )

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 20/09/2024 18:38

He did talk about Steven. That he was his real dad rather than Simon and Cindy didn’t see the bright spark in his eye or something.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 20/09/2024 18:40

Or do you mean Cindy never mentions Steven? This is correct!

I was also thinking Jane must rue the day she ever met Ian. Steven shot her, Bobby put her in a wheelchair and then Steven tried to kill her in a fire!

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 18:50

Jane and Ian's offspring were beyond cruel to Jane and she was lovely as well !

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 18:50

I mean Ian's offspring ! Typo

Southeastdweller · 20/09/2024 19:00

I think having Cindy come back hasn't been successful. I know she's inherently selfish and flighty and this is a soap, but it's always bugged me she rarely talks about her children who've died and Cindy Jr. It feels somehow unbelievable that all that hasn't affected her much. I wish the writers would have explored this because she seems so one-dimensional in this stint.

Eastie77Returns · 20/09/2024 19:01

Yeah sorry I meant Cindy never mentions Steven. She only weeps and wails about Lucy. No mention of Cindy Jr either and her child who will be a grandkid Cindy has never met. Or did she visit jr in Germany?

I liked the fact Ian always made it clear that if it was a choice between her and Bobby he would always pick his son. Refreshing to see a parent on EE actually parenting and putting their child first!

@SagaNorensPorche I'm from East London too but didn't pick up on the Safff London accent even though I once lived in Lewisham (for a very short period before jumping ship back to the East End😅

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 19:06

They do always move on quickly from any kind of death / drama. Lucy has definitely been mentioned more than Steven though.

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 19:08

Cindy did go and visit Cindy junior and grand child a while ago. I think she got in touch with her (and probably needed some time off )

Adam Woodyatt does sound very natural coming from Walthamstow, however I’ve been to Walthamstow in recent years and I bet not many originally born people from there live there now.

I keep thinking they’ll do the Cindy Jr storyline but nope.

Steven didn’t have children did he?

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 20/09/2024 19:14

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 19:06

They do always move on quickly from any kind of death / drama. Lucy has definitely been mentioned more than Steven though.

Lucy is great for both parents to weep and sob about her, despite one not being there and the other who could’ve give a toss about her (Ian) until she died. Steven’s name is only dragged out when Ian/Kathy want to prove a point that they did care about him and not just Lucy.

the80sweregreat · 20/09/2024 19:21

That area of London was a much more diverse than it's shown on EE.
To be fair, Ian was devastated about Lucy's death and often beat himself up that he didn't always treat her that well. She was being incredibly difficult before she died , but I think he love her.
