Really pleased that Punam and Sarah avoided the DO.

didnt See it last night but not surprised to see Shayne there, he comes across as very earnest and up his own arse.

I gave 2 of my 3 to Punam.
Marking was all over the shop last night and the costumes were awful.
Starts getting harder now.

19th October normal week
26th October Halloween (slightly earlier?)
2nd November Icons week

Not unreasonable to think that Chris is topping the public vote
Pete also popular. Punam and Sarah were undermarked so picked up votes too.
Will be interesting how it pans out now.

I'd guess Paul, Punam and Pete are in jeopardy given they're all novices but personally, based on efforts made yesterday, I'd take them over Shayne, Tash and JB as I want to feel something. There were routines yesterday where technically good but I was left unmoved.

As I said, didn’t see it last night but 39 in week 4? WTF?

Punam stayed in because she was so unfairly marked in a night of unfair marking. I'm glad, Nick going was the right decision.

I'm not a rabid supporter of anyone this year, which is a shame, but I guess my three favourites are Sarah, Chris and Shayne, so I am a bit disappointed with the result.

When I heard which song Shayne was dancing to I guessed he would have a 90s clubbing theme but that random, silly bowling alley theme really sunk the routine.

I think this is the problem with Shayne. In his first VT on the launch show he just had to say that he bought his mum a house and put on the doting dad act to make him look a certain way.
Buying your mum a house is so unbelievably lovely, but why is that one of the first things you have to say about yourself?!
Just makes him come across in a full of himself way, whether that reflects his true personality or not!
I predict they'll be in the bottom two frequently and keep getting saved.

Shane reminds me of Alexandra Burke & how I felt about her.

Oh I liked Alexandra. Thought she was treated bloody awfully tbh.
Shayne is more like Will for me - thought I'd love him but I didn't.
Nancy is a bit excitable/whacky also but I liked her partnership with Rhys.

That's how I felt when I saw the results earlier.

What do we think this week? Entertainment Odds poll combined with judges' scores suggests that Paul will be in the DO and gone against either Shayne again or JB. Dr P and Pete seem to have a very solid vote.

Ooh, late updates on the exit poll now suggest that Sam could be given the honour of defenestrating Paul. If so, I really hope she nails the routine second time around.

I think it's given helm go this week.
Next week it'll be punam or pete I think! Whilst I like them both they are starting to trail behind... :(

This result answers a key question I've been wondering about popularity. One of the two big polls has JB with a mid-range vote and the other has always had them near the bottom of the popular vote. Now we know that the second poll was right, and he doesn't have the votes.

Polls suggest that Sam and Shayne don't have the votes and are not going to Blackpool. My guess would be that Dr P's currently strong vote will lose momentum in a week or two so she's not going either, and that JB will be a Dance-Off Assassin for a few weeks until he's killed off all the cannon fodder and is taken out in his turn by Tasha.

Interesting. How is my fave Petey Wicks looking in these polls as he's swiftly being out-talented?

I've inferred from some things he's said on ITT that he wasn't entirely happy with the music and themes he's been landed with, the exception being his Fred and Ginger quickstep.

Pete's looking pretty strong at the moment. 4th or 5th most popular behind Chris, Sarah, Montell and possibly Jamie (that'll change week to week, but I think it was much the same last week).

Where are these polls pretty please? I’m surprised at JB tbh not being popular. Not surprised at Shayne - too earnest imo.

I liked Karen as Carwash even though it leant heavily into the GOAT of all carwashes, Louis on The Masked Dancer.
It would have amused me more had she done an Ola and danced round him a bit more than she did.
Loved the electric blue.
Paul will be gutted he didn't last another week if they still all get a Halloween bonus - he needed the £ given he'd gambled away his house deposit in lockdown.
Right decision I guess though. JB should have jived better given he had previously learnt how to. It was stompy.
Shayne got a bottom 2 bounce or Nancy got a Wardrobe pity point or viewers hate the song less than I do, railway, trailway grrr!
I also hated Wynne's routine.
