Edited

The EO poll, the SS poll and the viewer vote as revealed by the actual DO have been similar but subtly different every week. Honestly this week the only person I'd be shocked to see in the DO is Chris.

MouseMinge · 23/11/2024 22:32

Same. I'm hoping Pete is in the dance off, partly because I'm not a fan but mostly because he's the weakest dancer. If he'd nailed it this week I'd have accepted he was unlikely to go. There's no one in the contest who deserves to leave before him.

If he does go then next week will be interesting because apart from Chris, who could pull off another American smooth and anyway is almost certainly reaching the final, I couldn't guess who will be in the dance off and who will go.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 23/11/2024 23:05

Jamie and Michelle v Montell and Johannes. Jamie and Michelle eliminated.

Lentilweaver · 23/11/2024 23:09

What will it take for Pete to be in the DO?

xsquared · 23/11/2024 23:09

Ah, I thought Jamie may have had another week in him. He clearly enjoys dancing, but he looked so deflated tonight.

A bit sad for MoJo to have been in their 3rd dance off too.

Right, I reckon Montell will be dance off assassin from now on. However, she will be eliminated herself if Tasha, Sarah or JB end up in B2 with her.

nomdegrrr1 · 23/11/2024 23:10

I love Montell. I'd be sad to see Jamie go, but I really think that Montell is what Strictly is about. She has no dance training, no background in performing (Gladiators doesn't really count imo), she works hard, she has fun and she has absolutely embraced everything. She brings joy to the performance.

I also feel that Johannes has blossomed in this as well. Sometimes I want to reach through the screen and give him a hug.

What will it take for Pete to be in the DO?

Quite. Who the heck are his fans? There must be legions of TOWIE viewers.

EvilRingahBitch · 23/11/2024 23:18

It's a shame about Jamie.

If I'd have thought a bit more carefully I'd have thrown him a vote because I did enjoy that foxtrot and he was in a dangerous position, but I just threw all three at Tasha because I loved her AS and didn't want to see her do a full leaderboard plummet on the back of it.

xsquared · 23/11/2024 23:25

Tasha is getting to the final even with 0 votes as there is no way she'd ever lose a dance off against anyone. Yes, she came second in the sambathon against JB, but given she and Aljiaz was last, they had the least recovery time between dances.

Anyway, people just need to vote for their favourite now, and Jamie was clearly not everyone's favourite.

The final will be Tasha, Sarah, Chris and now looking more, and more like JB rather than the other two.

EsmaCannonball · 23/11/2024 23:32

Oh, boo. I wish I'd voted for Jamie now but I assumed people were voting for him in droves. I'd enjoyed how much he was enjoying the competition. There was a slightly weird vibe around him tonight, as if he was expecting the judges to stomp all over his enthusiasm.

Ok, now I want the final to be Sarah, Chris, JB and Montell. But I expect Tasha will make the final instead of Montell.

At this stage, to be bottom of the leaderboard but avoiding the dance-off tends to mean you are really pulling in the votes. Next week will be a real test of Pete's support. I really don't get the love.

I know the dance-off should be decided on the dance alone but once someone has hit their third one it does kind of remove some of the edge from the competition. The audience knows Montell is a lame duck.

Wish people would stop referring to Pete as the housewives favourite. So sexist amd ageist to an extent.

Why not just say he has universal appeal? Because most people think of "housewives" as women of a certain age group, not 16 year old, and you know that.

Anyway, Pete is clearly extremely popular, for some reason and we just have to accept that he's in, because people want him to be. "Should" is debatable.

Pete's pulled out the deadnan and this week it was abandoned dogs, previously it was autistic poster boy and best friend Sam Thompson. I wonder whats next week? Pete visits the local orphanage? Maybe a care home? He can't rely on wife and kids so he needs to curry favour with the floating voters.

Or maybe people just like him. Mind boggling I know

Er, no. She's clearly not getting the most votes every week but people who vote for her don't think she's a lame duck and I'm sure a lot who aren't voting for her don't think that either, they're just voting for someone they like/enjoy a bit more.

I'm gutted that she was in the dance off again this week but until she is the weakest dancer in a dance off she deserves her place. I'll be sad to see her go if she doesn't make it to the final which is looking unlikely.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 24/11/2024 07:29

If given Montell 2 votes and JB one. Wish I’d given Jamie one also. I’m a housewife and Pete gives me the ick.

Lentilweaver · 24/11/2024 08:09

JB is now my fave. He brings the joy. Wish he had been paired with Lauren from the start.

But I don't think he will make it to the final.
I think Pete will take him out.

EsmaCannonball · 24/11/2024 08:10

But once someone has hit their third dance-off then the audience does know they are a lame duck. It's a bit like the Fleur and Molly situation which effectively created a two celeb final between Hamza and Helen and killed off any chances of surprise or suspense. Molly, in particular, was a good dancer but was there any point in dragging her through four dance-offs when she clearly wasn't exciting the public?

I'm one of the people who would like a return to the days of no dance-off, anyway. It made the show more interesting and was less cruel to the celebs the public didn't find engaging. But I know that won't happen.

Gooseysgirl · 24/11/2024 09:10

This is Dave Thorp's poll (from Strictly Spoiler website). The poll does not always reflect the public vote but interesting nonetheless to see that Pete is not far off the bottom two. Montell will have to do something fairly spectacular each from now on to avoid the DO, which is such a shame as she is a great dancer! I'm team Lauren/JB all the way 🙏🏻

It's interesting to see on the Strictly Spoiler poll that despite being the worst dancer this week, Chris got the highest proportion of the votes.

And quite right, too. The public is so firmly behind him that he can't lose now. It's been a one-horse race for weeks.
