I'm just halfway through the first episode and was dying to discuss it!

These participants are not what I was expecting at all. They actually sound a lot more interesting than most reality TV fodder.

lol! Maria’s mum bless her, they’re all still in deep grief. Not sure Tom and Maria will work out, he’s wanting more equality and not to be a sole provider.

This has been a brilliant series so far! Love demi and her family, what she said to her mum about their marriage was just lovely. Cat just being upset with Freddie and then outrageously flirting with incel Sam?! 🚩He can do better, his sister is right. Sabrina and Steven seem definite. Can't wait for the weddings!

What do you all think of the wedding dresses?
I thought everyone looked beautiful, and that their dresses really suited them. Demi looked beautiful in her off-white dress which suited her perfectly- her comments about body confidence made me cry! From her job title, I infer she works in a school; the students will absolutely love her.

Just about to watch that part! Demi bless her.

my predictions:

I’m pretty sure Ollie will say No.
Sam will say No.
Tom will say No cos of culture and because he’s not over Tash.

Sabrina and Steven I wonder with the geography if it’s too much.

Jasmine’s controlling mum will stop her marrying Bobby.

Nicole really isn’t that into Ben. She won’t want the nomad lifestyle. I predict a No (for now).

I’m not sure who will say Yes!

has anyone else noticed that sort of perma moustache shade of Tom’s. (Don’t know how else to describe it).

I don’t understand if it’s a constant 3 day without shaving look, but it bothers me how it’s a darker shade than his beard.

I’m totally distracted by it whenever he’s on.

Does anyone else think Tom is turning into a bit of a git? The whole conversation about jobs etc - he clearly thinks he's a bigshot because he works in PR/advertising.

I’m only up until episode 6 but Tom is giving strong Johno from the last MAFS AU vibes. He just doesn’t seem genuine and makes little digs.

Only on episode 2 but are they really saying “I love you” after a couple of days 😐

Jasmine’s mum Marisa looks like Meghan Markle- I cannot unsee it - dye the hair dark brown and boom

Maria wants a trad wife set up, Tom doesn't. However she was really clear about that in the pods so not sure why he thought it would be any different. I predict Tom will be dating Natasha by the reunion.

Ollie and Demi could be really good, but she seems to have to adapt herself to suit him and that's not great, he also seems to like her more when she's outgoing and more of herself so maybe that's just coming from her insecurity. Not sure where the decision will go. Not sure he's ready for marriage to anyone.

Steven and I went to say Barbara but it's really not, I think they'll say yes. Both at that stage in life and he has the flexibility in work to be same to spend time in Belfast.

Cat reminds me of Peggy from MAFS but her family are much nicer, I don't think that will work and actually I understand Freddie wanting to protect his assets, why should he sign half of his house to a woman he's known for a month who's not bringing any of her own assets into the marriage? Oddly it was Ollie who saw her for who she was first, in the pods when she was name dropping bougie restaurants. I think he'll say no and she'll have a meltdown.

Jasmine and Bobby I can see working if her mum winds her neck in, she lives in the Philippines so hopefully won't be able to do too much damage.

I think Nicole and Ben will say yes, but it won't work out and she'll leave him. I thought it was odd he'd been single for eleven years and he's only 33 so no real proper relationship experience and she's already been married. Nicole will be drawn to idiots like Sam because she 'sees the good in him'

If he fancied her! He's not been into her from the moment of the reveal. He only cheers up when they are playing arcade games or he's winning at bowling. I think she'll say yes and he'll say no.

Think Tom/Julian Barratt ought to say no. He's been iffy since he met Tash, and also with all her talk of the man providing. I think she'll say yes.

Catherine will probably say yes, and Freddie the undertaker will say no, not yet.

Beniah will say yes. Nicole, yes? She always sounds like she's at a corporate team-building weekend... so it's hard to tell how sincere it all is.

I think Stephen and Sabrina will both say yes.

Bobby, no. Jasmine, it's hard to say. I always felt she was somewhat faking it. So that's really only one and a half matches I feel even somewhat sure of.

I am really into the bright colourful fake flowers they've been draping things in this season, so am mostly looking forward to that!

Do they really not tell parents etc they are on a tv show where there is a chance they might get married?!

On the last episode and don't like Catherine AT ALL. Run Freddie Run.

Completely agree and I haven't got that far yet. She is absolutely awful. Poor Freddie, when he was upset at the cheating admission and she was just glaring at him like he's a naughty boy. He can do better than her.

Tom and Maria won't last at all. It's frustrating that she keeps pointing out her cultural expectations, and he's expected to slot into that, as opposed to her accepting that his culture eg doesn't expect the man to pay for everything.

I'm also wondering why she offered to pay for the ice creams if she actually had no intention of paying for them. Seems like she was setting him up, rather than just being honest at the time, of her expectations

I don't get the Ice Cream issue. Why would you give a shit over what £5? Excuse to make a mountain out of a molehill

Yes I understand him wanting to protect his assets too, but he brought it up at a dreadful time, when there was already tension.
Does Cat not have anything to bring into the marriage? She's got a decent job but lives with her parents.
I also understand the opposite side of the argument that if she moved in with him she'd presumably pay towards the mortgage etc, yet would have nothing to show for that
when if they split.

Freddie looked very attractive in his work clothes I thought.

My SIL used to be a dental nurse and gave it up to work in retail because retail paid more.... Also a pre nup could be as simple as a deed of trust ring fencing his current equity , they also often have clauses amending them after certain durations of marriage and if children are born, absolutely after it wasn't brought up at the best time. I think his real reservations are about her lifestyle Vs his and that they're not compatible long term, but he's not communicating well.
