I'm just halfway through the first episode and was dying to discuss it!

These participants are not what I was expecting at all. They actually sound a lot more interesting than most reality TV fodder.

I'm only on the first episode but I like Freddie so far and cannot understand why anyone would have a problem being a funeral director. It's a good job.

It will be part of the franchise and likely they’re all stuffed in a warehouse / film studio box like building.

Sam gave me awful vibes and I agree about the all the I’m so hot comments when I don’t think he is particularly! I like the funeral director but not so sure about who he has paired up with.

like the pair with the woman from Morocco, I hope they make it!

I agree and when someone asked if he was ok with dead bodies and his reply was ‘yes, they were someone’s loved one’, I thought that was lovely.

Far too many spoilers in that intro sequence!

So much better than last US season. Poor Nicole, when the penny started dropping about Sam. Boring brown eyes wasn't even the worst of it! "Trust me, trust me, trust me. Trust me!"

Still cracking up over Tom's red lipstick... He reminds me of that dry funny guy from the Mighty Boosh.

Fingers crossed for Benaiah.

@creamofroses agreed, someone who says trust me that much is almost certainly not to be trusted! They were also very awkward with each other, no kissing etc. I think she is quite wise though!

I'm off sick this week so just binged. Now got to wait for the next episodes to be released. I'm enjoying it but the trailer has really confused me.

On the first episode. Sam has a Simon Pegg air about him.

Sam reminds me of a mixture of David Brent and Napoleon Dynamite

I just started episode 4 so spoilers below.

Zero chemistry between Sam and Nicole. What the hell did he mean when he said ‘I don’t care what other people say, I think she’s gorgeous’

too bloody right she is! , and started making suggestions about how to make her look taller.

I don’t think she liked him at all.

I also don’t understand where Ollie’s confidence comes from, I don’t think he’s attractive at all.

lots of sexual chemistry between Tom and Maria, don’t know if that’ll turn into real love though.

and Freddie is stunning and the sweetest guy, I’m not too sure about her, I think she might have gone with Ollie if given the chance, but I wish then the best.

the trailer for the rest of the season was packed with drama!

I have never watched the us one but loved the first ep and a half! Can’t wait for bedtime 😂

Pretty sure Sam's nose has been the least of his problems in getting a girlfriend.

He didn't give his partner a single compliment when he saw her, he went straight to 'what do you think of me??'

I like most of the contestants, I hope it works out for some of them. Tom and Freddie seem particularly mature and lovely.

I await the next 4 episodes to be proven utterly wrong, I always fail to recognise the wrong 'uns on these shows. Apart from those like Sam of course.

This series compared to the American version hasn't really clicked with me not sure why, not very invested in any of the couples

My God, he gives almost everyone the same shaped nose - a little American ski-slope nose. I think Sam's profile looked better with his own distinctive nose.

Maria really reminds me of Maya Jama facially and the way she talks. Felt sorry for Tasha but agree with her don’t think it’s the end of hers and Tom’s story.

Sam is just so cringe. It doesn’t seem like he has many friends amongst the other guys.

I’ve not seen the show before. Will they show the other people that we haven’t seen yet?

DH came into the living room earlier to see what exciting Olympic sport I must have been shouting at. But it was actually me shouting at Sam. Everything he said sounded like a really bad actor going over his lines and the man just came across like a walking red flag. 🚩

It looks like we've got some good drama coming up but they always seem to twist the little spoilers in to being worse than they are.

I've watched all the US ones and the Japanese one (which so far is 100% my favourite and I follow some of the people on that on Insta now) so I've just started on Sweden to get me through my LiB obsession while I wait for the new UK episodes. I hate the way they make us wait between the parts like this but I also can't wait for all of the episodes to release before I start watching.

They only focus on a set number of matches. But the other cast will show up at a couple of group events.

Having watched all the of US versions, and the UK (so far) and Sweedish, I’ve now started the Mexican one. The weddings for the Mexican show come out next Wednesday. I’m enjoying it as much as the Swedish one - some potential good marriages! Will set up another Mexican thread if anyone else is interested in watching.

How is it that the British guys are so 'American'?

I mean, do you know any guys that present themselves like the guys on this show in the UK?

Sam is horrific, ugly inside and out.

Late to the party here, but watched the first 3 last night. Me and DH (who never watches things like this usually lol) were shouting ‘no Nicole!’ At the screen. Sam is so vile. Dodgy second hand car salesman vibes.
