I'm just halfway through the first episode and was dying to discuss it!

These participants are not what I was expecting at all. They actually sound a lot more interesting than most reality TV fodder.

I thought Sabrina and Steven were well suited. I couldn't wait till 21 August for the extra episodes so followed Sabrina on instagram to see if she is wearing a wedding ring in recent pics but I suppose she's not giving things away

I feel really sorry for Demi. She's seems lovely and pretty and Ollie doesn't seem to be in it one hundred percent

I'm confused about Ollie, he seems to be affectionate towards Demi in private and adamant he's "in love" with her (I'm dubious about anyone falling in love so quickly but that's by the by).

Could it be he's just a bit discombobulated about the fact she's not conventionally model-pretty like the other girls? Not saying that's okay but maybe he's battling with that, I think he might be a surprise yes..

I agree with whoever said Sabrina is a bit dull, but Steven is a goofball so I think they suit each other in a ying and yang way.

I do think the whole "I'll have kids but only with a surrogate" was a bit brushed over as a perfect solution to that issue they had though 🤨

It was me. She does seem lovely, but when he says something daft, she just goes, "Haha you idiot," or similar, so I'm wondering if he'll get bored with that

I'm rooting for Stephen and Sabrina..Ollie and Demi 75%..the others have big issues to resolve I think. The financial implications of a legal marriage is definitely something to be wary of after such a short courtship if there is an imbalance

I would imagine a prenup would be sensible, having said that it needs to be fair on both parties and have different outcomes depending on length of marriage/ children. And by the way she was talking about it it sounded like it was one sided. She is putting herself in a very vulnerable position leaving a job and moving to be with him.

She's a dental nurse, so it's not such a niche job, does she have her own place in Jersey? I would think he is thinking about his brother too, as he said if anything was to happen to his mum he would take him on (his Mum is not young)

I really do think Cat needs to do a lot of work on herself before she's ready for a long term relationship, never mind marriage.

I really hope Freddie says no and avoids all sort of trouble and strife down the line from her erratic behaviour, high drama antics and high maintenance expectations. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy and deserves someone balanced and more mature to match his stable energy. He doesn't need a tornado in his life...

Agree he seems a lovely soul (and gorgeous) With a job like his is no wonder he likes a laugh and a joke outside of work. She's full of demands and little put downs.
It's really nice to see more mature people on a dating show compared to love island. Much more natural reactions (apart from when Jasmine was interrogating Ollie where's your head at etc, I think maybe more alcohol is involved;) )

I must admit that but I understood to an extent, when me and my now DH moved in together he owned his house and I rented mine. I gave up rent but I contributed to the household bills but didn't pay half of his mortgage as if we split the house would remain his and I wouldn't own it still. We weren't married at that stage so splitting would be different etc but maybe that is what she means? Now we are married with a LG so it's a whole different ball game 😂

Marriage does mean all your assets are equally shared, it does sound a bit reckless to commit to that for a TV 'experiment' unless there was some equality to start with or a prenup is agreed

They definitely should be getting legal advice re all this, and the production team should be providing it.
It's not as straightforward as everything gets split down the middle. What you take into the marriage is yours. So in his case, a lot of the issue would be how much he owns of the house, whether it's mortgaged etc. And again, his timing of that conversation would be what irritated me.

I still cannot understand what she'd be bringing to the marriage. She lives at home, so presumably she has some savings - or does she simply spend all her earnings on nights out and clothes?
If she's discussed that kind of thing with him, then it should be no surprise if he's wanting a prenup.

Would writing a will overrule the usual marital assets issues? Or are they set in stone unless you have a prenup?

She lives at home with her parents so no, she’s not bringing any assets - just high drama.

I am sure I have seen Freddie on the show where the girl or boy chose 3 dates from 5 different people based on their menus that they would cook for them. Also they didn’t know what the other people looked like.
if I remember correctly Freddie’s family own the funeral company and there is probably more than just his house at stake!

I thought it was good that Freddie was honest about cheating in a previous relationship. It was a long time ago and people can change. I think he comes across as more mature and settled as his partner. She seems lovely but has insecurities. I had these when I was younger so I can relate.

Also I think Freddie has probably lived with someone in that house before. The decor doesn't say batches or pad lol.

The attraction and humour was there in the beginning. I hope they can last

Maria is a awful I really hope he dumps her for Charlotte- she seems obsessed with his money and it's a huge red flag

Cat is a narc and should be with Sam, Freddie deserves someone lovely- Charlotte would be a good fix

I ran out of episodes so had to move over to LIB Japan. They all have such a cool and beautiful style! I'm obsessed with the clothes more than anything
