Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

It was a good episode but I do agree the judge was unrealistic. I expected Dean to have a dodgy barrister, although how is he affording him?

It is hard to comment on hair without it being personal to the actress. It could be that Letitia has chosen to change her hairstyle but the show want Sharon to have her usual hair so they have used a wig or a hairpiece

My view is always "its the characters hair"

Southeastdweller · 02/09/2024 13:06

Linda will surely crack tomorrow under cross examination.

When Dean returned to the square, he was minted from what I recall but I don’t remember how. Or maybe Shirl is paying for his brief.

Sounds as if the writers are on glue at the moment then ! lol

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 13:32

Didn't Dean have his own business once ? Doing what I've no idea though ( or can't remember)

Itisjustmyopinion · 02/09/2024 14:01

If Shirley doesn’t come back for this storyline then she will never come back (unless it’s for the inevitable Danny Dyer return)

The Grant/Phil nonsense was ridiculous

These episodes could have been great but they have made them to be in the Sunset Beach style of storytelling and acting

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 14:07

I admit I'm not bothered if Mick never returns to be honest ! I didn't hate the character and I don't mind Danny Dyer , but they had done so much with him what would be left after the shock of ' his alive !' had worn off!
Him and Linda happy together would be a bit boring plus they are full at the Vic just now too!

Eastie77Returns · 02/09/2024 14:32

I was on a jury years ago at Southwark court. There were 3 co-defendants and we found 2 guilty. The 3rd one walked free. I ended up sitting on the same tube as him and his family as I went home😱

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 14:33

Gosh eastie ! That must have been hard
I've never done jury service. Don't fancy it to be honest !

It was actually quite boring a lot of the time😂 On paper it sounded really dramatic (kidnap and extortion) but the reality of the case was actually quite mundane, it wasn’t like a million pound ransom situation or anything. There were two clearly very guilty people and a third man who some of us on the jury thought was innocent but others didn’t. It dragged on and on. In the end the judge said he would accept a majority verdict rather than unanimous so he got off. To this day I wonder if we let a kidnapper out to roam the streets of south London😭 I have no idea if he recognised me on the tube, I was so freaked out I got off at the next stop!

milesmachine · 02/09/2024 14:44

The Grant/Phil nonsense was ridiculous

Absolutely ridiculous! I agree about likening it to Sunset Beach in the realms of unrealism! The barrister 'accidentally' getting the names mixed up and then the judge sneering at her.

Would not be allowed at all

I was on the jury for two cases: one car vs bike and one a rape unfortunately. The solicitors had to act within extremely narrow guidelines in their questioning.

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 14:45

Gosh , no wonder you got off the tube !
Sounds a tough case
I'm surprised the whole ' 12 good men and women ' jury still stands. It always stuck me as flawed , but I don't know enough about it all really.

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 14:49

The entire back story of Sharon's marriages was a bit stupid!
'Take her down ', whole thing is ridiculous !
Poor Linda will crack under pressure though

Southeastdweller · 02/09/2024 18:21

I’d forgotten she was married to Ian but then I remembered it was done during that second lockdown in winter (or that tier crap) so have forgotten a lot about that ghastly time as a way of coping. Initially I thought one of her husbands was gorgeous Tom the fireman but she never married him.

MichaelAndEagle · 02/09/2024 18:33

Yeah I thought it was too unrealistic. Would never happen! But then, that's what the whole storyline is like!

Meredusoleil · 01/09/2024 21:26

Who is Natalie?

And what is the Jumpers character's name again?!?

Ah not Natalie - I meant Nadine ( the Lola Clone who was going out with Jay / Studying Law and working as an Escort )
She probably wouldn;t have given Free Advice For A Pint

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 18:33

Tom was lovely , but I don't think they got married ?

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 18:34

Ahh! Nadine , the one who pretended to be pregnant !! She was run out of town by Stevie in the end

Southeastdweller · 02/09/2024 18:37

Yes, the producers got rid of him after six months.

I’m fully expecting to see Chrissie later this week in prison with implausibly terrific hair. I hope they release that episode at 6am as usual - Dean gets his verdict.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 18:41

Chrissie actress does have lovely hair !
She is very attractive I think

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 18:51

Judging by how fast Dee got to the court today , I assume the place is as close as the hospital/ police station is ! They all get about in record time

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 19:18

Did Sharon say ' shut up' to the judge ?
She was sharp with him , you just wouldn't do this

BingoNight · 02/09/2024 19:38

Sharon's comment to the judge when he sneered at her 'you can shut yer mouth!' 😂
Thought Sharon looked stunning in her white top.

Where did Dean get his suit from and he was polishing his shoes in the cell?
Where are all his things from his flat kept while he's in prison?

I liked seeing Phil with Albie, off to his first day of school.
And Charli is 1, gosh that year went quick!

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2024 20:04

Sharon's outfit was fab !
She always looks nice ( most of the time )

Shellingbynight · 02/09/2024 20:23

I did jury service at the Old Bailey (long time ago!). Court scenes are always dreadful in soaps, but these were something else. They appear not to even know the times court sits. Linda was sitting at home in her scruffs at 1.45. Court sits between 2 and 4. As if they would race through three witnesses in two hours. That barrister would never be able to attack Sharon in that way, and the fact she’s been married 4 times is of no relevance whatever. Sharon would never yell abuse at a judge either.

I have no confidence this is going to have a satisfactory outcome. To put it mildly!

I think Letitia has hair extensions doesn’t she? It was all bunged into a bun to make her look businesslike. It was fairly horrible but made sense for the storyline (just about the only thing that did!)
