Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

She has previously had extensions. I don't know if recently she has had them out and is using hair pieces/wigs. These are popular now and so much better for your natural hair in comparison to hair extensions. I think this is what she's doing but it just seems wrong to talk about hair as most have their hair the same in character as real life, it's only really Linda who gets a character hairstyle, the others just have it the same. Today Sharon's hair was styled for court. I noticed a few of them were wearing the leather look leggings

Eastie77Returns · 02/09/2024 21:05

I thought Denise’s hair looked at bit unkept today but only because it’s usually immaculate. Maybe it’s because she’s meant to have been keeping vigil at the hospital for days (but weirdly didn’t bother going to see Amy when she woke up).

And then there’s Chelsea wandering around the hospital in what looked like an oversized grey prison jumpsuit.

The court scene was ridiculous and I’m fed up with Bernie’s weeping now.

Shellingbynight · 02/09/2024 21:56

I think Letitia does have 'Sharon hair' which is a more glamorised/extreme version of her own (from the little I've seen of Letitia as herself).

I am fed up with Bernie too - especially because despite all her wailing, she's actually wrong!

Southeastdweller · 02/09/2024 22:15

But Bernie isn't wrong about Linda not being the killer. I think I too wouldn't be handling it well, if I had a sibling I loved whose killer had escaped justice!

Re; the court scenes in tonight's episode, there has been a real Eastender who has been in court today, for being drunk and disorderly on a flight to Germany, the plane did not take off until the next day, and passengers had to disembark.

It was Sam Fox, who I've always liked. Her defence barrister said she was stressed and anxious, after being a carer for her mum.

Eh? Bernie is correct that Dean isn’t the killer. But she is incorrectly blaming Sharon because Linda is the killer.

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 06:30

If Bernie hadn't told Phil about the kidnapping etc etc maybe Sharon would have married Keanu
and he wouldn't have tried to strangle her! So many IF's for the whole storyline!

I know, I just feel sorry for her. Grief can make you do terrible things!

I had a venture on Twitter/X last night and it seems the swell of feeling is similar to that of the thread....
Everyone hates Penny
Everyone thinks evil Bernie isn't landing
Everyone thought the court scenes were farcical

But I did stumble on this tik tok account which I've fallen in love with (Eastenders and corrie clips set to music)

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 07:43

I used to like Sam fox , but if I had been delayed on a plane for a day and just wanted to go home, I wouldn't be at all sympathetic towards her to be brutally honest. Different if her own problems didn't affect everyone else , but a plane load of passengers is just wrong. I get the anxiety and stress of elderly parents or bereavement and it's all a struggle, but she should have thought a little bit about everyone else on her journey too especially as it was delayed for so long! You'd be furious.
Anyway , evil Bernie isn't landing , but I can feel some sympathy for her from a bereavement point of view , but if she hadn't told Phil things it might have been different. Although she isn't the reason he was killed it's more to do with not being Albies dad and Sharon taunting him
too. It's a difficult one to get your head around isn't it ! Not that he should have been strangling her either ..

Did you mean she's not wrong about Dean not being the killer?
She is wrong about it being Sharon though.
She really has no idea what's going on and shouting the wrong name isn't very helpful!

Southeastdweller · 03/09/2024 08:07

Dean admitted in court he raped Linda but the right thing for him to do as the slimy toe rag he is would have been to tell his brief she accused him of raping her and he was acquitted so then the brief would have tried to discredit Linda. But I guess the writers were more bothered about ‘soap justice’.

And if Keanu hadn't kidnapped Albie in the first place...!

Yes, so what do you do when you’re feeling like this alongside the grief? It would drive the sanest person to the edge!

Shellingbynight · 03/09/2024 08:11

Bernie was none too keen on Keanu herself and disowned him for the kidnapping (and then blaming his mum). So I don't feel a lot of sympathy for either Keanu or Bernie!

Viewer23 · 03/09/2024 08:27

I don’t feel much sympathy for Keanu or Bernie either, especially as if Linda hadn’t done what she did, it could well have been Keanu on the stand for Sharon’s murder! Even though Karen had a hand in everything that happened, Keanu should have listened to his mum and stayed well away from Sharon! Things didn’t end well the first time he was with her. It’s funny because the previous Christmas episode with the Lou/Keanu/Sharon love triangle, Linda shot Keanu when she was drunk after he kidnapped Callum trying to get revenge on the Mitchells - 3 years later she stabbed him when he was strangling Sharon! It’s almost like she is their guardian angel and Keanu should learn to stay away from that family.

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 08:35

Yes, I do agree the kidnap plot involving Karen was the catalyst here. It's a complex storyline of love and betrayal isn't it?
Agree that Linda is the Mitchell's guardian Angel
Didn't see it like that before and I do so wish she had stabbed him in the arm or leg instead and let him live, even if he had left it would have been better ( or the six covering up Nish's demise instead or something)

WitchCerce · 03/09/2024 08:40

It's been 10+ years since I've worked in a jail , but all your clothes ( the ones you came in , plus a suit your family could bring in ) were kept for you along with any other possessions such as a phone , your wallet etc .

You are taken from your cell in the morning and go down to reception ( a room with big cells / cages ) and waited your turn / got ready for court / transport to court ) so nothing like portrayed in Eastenders
If someone is in jail for a big court case ( a murder for example ) it usually takes around a year before the case comes to court.

I remember a serial killer of prostitutes ( think he killed 4 or 5 ) it made the national news / papers . He had 2/3 suits purchased for him for the case by public money i.e you basically helped pay for them .

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 09:25

To be fair , it's been over eight months for this trial , so nearly realistic there. Unusual ..
Made me giggle ( on Facebook) that Sharon was taken upstairs and not down !! Again , probably the court lay out , but it did make me lol 😂

gingercat02 · 03/09/2024 09:37

Jesus, I know L is a liability, but using her kids having a car accident to flush her out is cruel, even for Phil

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 09:37

Buying nice suits for nasty criminals doesn't surprise me at all :(
I'm sure if we knew the half of where taxpayers money really goes towards half the time it would make your hair curl.

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 09:38

Ginger , what has Phil done now ?
Has he gone after her and the kids to get her to testify ?

gingercat02 · 03/09/2024 09:57

Excellent episode after yesterday's bollocks! Never expected that duff duff. Dean will have to be convicted of rape now surely.

He texted Linda to say Ollie and Annie had been in a car crash, she went straight to the hospital. Kath was waiting for her.

the80sweregreat · 03/09/2024 10:03

Phil being horrible then :(
He doesn't usually involve the children does he ? Bit low for him
Although anything for Sharon , she is the ' love of his life ' from way back..despite it all
