I wonder if Tommy would hurt Alfie. I don't think he'd try it with a man, he seems to be all about bullying women and children. At least the twins are safe with Kat at the moment.

He already has! Don't you remember he punched Alfie just before he was diagnosed with cancer? Alfie didn't tell Kat about it either 🙄

I think it's partly down to all this boxing at The Den. The boy thinks the answer to everything is punching people now!

Tommy needs taking down a peg or two.

Not seen anything flagged up for next week about Tommy, it's all about Linda and her being hassled by someone Dean has sent to broker a deal of some kind and she ends up being blackmailed and Bobby may find out about Cindy and junior.

Oh yes of course, Alfie mentioned it when they had the chat didn't they.
I suppose he sees Alfie as 'weak'. One day he'll punch the wrong person and regret it!

Hi just joining, if that's ok. It says this is a spoilers thread but you seem to be discussing a day behind. I watch every morning when it's uploaded to the iplayer. Tonight's is mainly the panesars and I'm so disappointed in the ending but not sure if it's allowed to be discussed on here. Noone I know watches so it's my guilty pleasure

Hi and welcome 🙂 It’s fine to discuss anything EE on here. I also watched today’s episode but don’t recall much about it other than a contrived scene with Sonia implying the others in the Vic were hypocrites.

Yes Sonia was excusing the behaviour of her and Reiss by pointing out everyone else's flaws. I've no sympathy for Sonia.
There was a bit showing Tommy worsening. I think that storyline will run for some time. It's nice the younger ones are getting more scenes.
It was the ending with Nish overhearing Suki and Vinny. I'm so disappointed in them because they know there's cctv in there, Suki was caught by that before. You'd think they'd be more careful. Funny thing is I hated Suki when she first joined, I actually stopped watching eastenders because of her and only started watching again for the Keanu build up. Now I'm rooting for her.

I agree about Suki, she was so awful. I started liking her when Honey befriended her and the evil facade began to crack. She is such a complex character, I love her now.

I think laila rouass is joining next week, she's invited by Nish. I wonder if she was married to the man Nish killed? Which means she is an ex of Suki

I liked it in the pub when Sonia was calling out people that have done something wrong in their past and Kim said 'Ooh ooh me, do me next!' 😄

Sonia could have talked about all of them, would have taken a long time!

I was hoping one of them would point out Sonia had stolen from Dot and the slimming club she was part of. But as it is, it could be part of the rehabilitation of Sonia, before she's framed for Debbie's murderby Reiss and then the 'SOS' story begins after she goes to prison (just my theory - we know Natalie Cassidy is going on a short break but not why her character leaves).

I hadn't really thought about where Laila R would feature in the storyline - except obviously something to bludgeon Suki with! I hope Nish is not allowed to 'win'.

He had to use the money for the person’s best interests, he cannot appropriate it for himself, while failing to pay her care fees (and then stealing more money from Sharon and Phil). He didn’t even keep enough back for her funeral. 😢And selling her engagement ring (at least he isn’t giving it to Sonia). He is a monster and Sonia’s no better.

It’s funny how Tommy looks up to Phil and is trying to be this tough guy and yet hit his mum because Phil is very against men who hit women because of the way his dad abused his mum. Hopefully he has some kind of heart to heart with him. He’s turning into such a thug!

Sonia is really in trouble. She’s isolating herself from her whole community and hasn’t stopped to think about the character of the person she’s taking all these risks for because she’s so delusional.

@Anyonecanfallinlove welcome! I also thought Suki was terrible when she first arrived but she has become more human. Interestingly I see some parallels between Suki and Sonia. Suki actually said in today’s episode that Nish is a narcissist and I think her awfulness when she first arrived was partly an effect of their toxic relationship on her even though he was in prison. And I think the same thing is happening with Sonia, because I do think Reiss is a narcissist, just more of a covert one, not obvious like Nish. Not that either Suki or Sonia are perfect people and they do have agency and their own flaws but I genuinely think Sonia is blinded by love and her sense of morality is warped by the deceptive web she’s in with Nish (and her own desperation). And of course taking relationship advice from Kathy Cotton…

I 100% think Sonia is going to get framed for it too.

It’s funny because I really don’t like Sonia’s character, I think she’s really overbearing and sanctimonious but I can’t help feeling sorry for her with this storyline.

It's the other way round to me, I used to like Sonia but this storyline has really brought out the self-righteousness. For a nurse she certainly has a shaky code of ethics. Of course in EastEnders terms she hasn't actually killed anyone so she thinks stealing money from a comatose woman and her parents is small potatoes 😆

If Phil stops being so busy warring with Kat and Alfie he probably is the person to stop Tommy in his tracks.

I'd like Suki to inherit Nish's empire but if it goes to Ravi I'd be okay with that. Ravi needs more screentime.

I did wonder if Reiss was going to hit Debbie's mum. He's dangerous. Am also fascinated by Suki's giant over the elbow handbag. So queenly, wonder what's in it. Sonia is really, really stupid. Desperate and taking codependency to a whole new level.

I’m looking forward to seeing what develops in that story as I don’t recall we ever found out why Nish killed that man.

Nish killed him as he thought he was having an affair with Suki. Suki has always denied this & said they were just friends but Nish killed him through jealousy.

That rings a bell now, thanks. So Nish doesn’t know the person in question was female and Ayesha - things could get interesting next week!

I remembered why Nish killed that man, but I had forgotten that Suki was in love with his wife. That should be interesting!

I think Nish knows now that the person was female and he ‘killed the wrong person’, I think he’s trying to sabotage Suki and Eve’s relationship by bringing in and old flame, because Suki was flaunting her relationship with Eve in his face by telling him at least she had Eve to look after her.
