I don't mind Priya , but she is a wind up merchant and she might say the wrong thing.

Of course that is what you'd do, but in EE land it's all or nothing. Sell or stay.
She could get a small mortgage against that house which must be worth ££££.
Release some cash, get a new kitchen whilst she's at it! (Although I quite like the kitchen as it is tbh!).

No woman in her thirties would live in a house decorated in that drab post war style. Sonia is seriously odd.

I actually think there must be many living in houses not modernly decorated. Sonia is a nurse, she probably couldn't afford decorators, she may be scared to try things herself. She may have time to throw some paint on the walls but she may not feel it would make much of a difference. I can totally see why the house is as it is.

Yes Priya saying the wrong thing, and Reiss snapping and hitting her over the head would suit me nicely.

I want to like Priya, but every single thing she's done recently has been idiotic and self defeating.

Just checking in I haven't watched any this week and lost the thread. Is it worth watching or will I give it a miss?

She probably hasn't thought about it she's a creature of habit and probably doesn't want to get rid of Dot, I bet if it was a real life house it stink of stale fags and have yellow walls still.

I'm not sure how to reply to 'is it worth watching' @Mrsjayy - it wasn't the best week but the Reiss and Sonia stuff is worth watching, particular the arrival of his parents - I am guessing future episodes won't make sense if you don't. Not particularly enjoyable though!

Did I miss Martin and Zac moving in together? I thought Zac lived alone (his flat looked tiny when Whit was there) and Martin lived with Sharon. It's funny that he's so laid back about Martin randomly allowing Pryia to stay. Only on EE

I take the point about Sonia not bothering with decorating. Not repainting is one thing but there isn't actually anything in the house itself that indicates a young(ish) couple live there. It looks like a dark and dusty museum with all of Dots old memorabilia laying about, photos of Ethel and other long dead people on the walls. Where are Sonia's photos, posters, personal effects etc. It's as if she left all her stuff in storage, moved into a house owned by a woman in her 90s and didn't make a single change. No wonder the Estate Agent who came round the other day was confused.

They do the same on Corrie, there are houses owned by well loved characters who died donkeys years ago and cannot be changed. I think it's supposed to be 'nostalgia'!

Zac did live with Martin and Sharon in the past didn't he? I suppose he had to move out of the flat he shared with Whit? Actually I have no idea!

@Shellingbynight I don't think I have the energy for Reiss's face and Sonias stupidity I caught up on the thread and some fb videos il start fresh next week.

Didn't Sonia live with Dot before she died? Maybe she is just comfortable with how it is, especially as she didnt have to move in. Also she wouldn't have her own furniture etc.
I do think the eastenders team have maybe kept it in this way for the nostalgia and out of respect for Dot.

Yes, and while she was living with Dot she stole £8,000 from her bank account. I remembered she'd stolen but I'd forgotten why.

I think Zac is still in the flat he shared with Whit and it seems Martin has moved in with him? I just have no memory of that happening as I last I knew, Martin lived in Sharon’s house with Albie.

There was a flat that Tiffany and Bianca lived in with purple and lime green decor .
Then Gus lived there with Sean Slater and later with Juley - same decor .

Nobody took on the lease and said "Whoa Migrane Alert , this is like living in Barney the Dinosaur "

After Whitney left with Britney and Dolly, Zack went a bit off the rails and was angry at Lauren. Bianca eventually left too. Then Martin suggested he move in with Zack to help keep him from going any further off the rails. That was about it iirc!

Nish asking Avani to find Ayesha online was reminiscent of Harvey paying Tommy to track down Maya’s profile. I don’t know why these supposedly ‘old’ residents would find it so difficult to simply put someone’s name in a search engine box or on a social media platform. It’s not exactly rocket science. All of this “oh you young kids know how to use the internet, I’ve got a really difficult mission for you...” is ridiculous. Neither Nish nor Harvey is that old, they would have been in their 20s/30s when using the web became widespread.

Nish is always bigging himself up as the big business man type , so you'd think he could work his way around Facebook or LinkedIn.
It was just a plot device though to involve Avani who is skipping about as a bit part!
My I player kept stopping near to the end when Eve found out that the lady was Suki's previous love interest by Nish , so I've no idea how it ended tonight.

It was nice to have a break from the Reiss and Sonia tedium in today's episode.

It's really agiest nonsense Harvey and Nish would be able to "work" the Internet, although Nish was in jail for 25 years I can't see them having fb in jail so he might not really know.

I saw the ending and didn't miss much !

Yeah he will have been on a computer I don't understand why he couldn't Google or Fb search but I guess so it's they can have Avani in the scene.
