Didn't someone kidnap Bex once ?
Can't remember who or why

Bex was in trouble once did she OD - cannot remember. I just recall her on a bed and Sonia’n’Martin doing lots of wailing.

Jumpers would look right at home on the set of Bergerac with Jim’s rich ex FIL , going round sailing clubs and nice restaurants.

Chrissie would either think he was as cute as a button or a Pratt.

I loved Chrissie! The episode when she smashed the mirror in the beauty salon and butchered Kate’s(?) hair was great.

I had to catch up with several episodes at once but fast forwarded a lot of the scenes with Sonia and Reiss. I just don’t care. Nice of Phil to step up and send Ritchie’s protégé, he does have a heart. But why does Martin always feel to need to involve himself in his ex wives business!

Denise seemed to be giving Jumpers the once over when he came over to apologise. She’s been without a man for 5 minutes so must be time to move on from Jack…

I thought Jean’s ‘your family is my family’ speeches to Harvey were quite weird. They are not married and have been together a relatively short time. It was particularly odd when she got upset and said Dana was her daughter too. I don’t recall them even speaking to each other much less any kind of step mother / daughter relationship.

I think Bex went travelling with money from aunty Michelle. I thought it was a gap year before uni but she’s been gone several years and her parents have barely mentioned her in that time so🤷🏽‍♀️

What did Bex study at University
Is she going to come back as Ñu Head Bex or Original

Teddy said we had to move for school and to be near family

EDIT: Billy said how bad was the old school if Walford High is better

Honey asked about what was wrong with the school, Older son said "they didnt have enough books"

Young son said "the libaray wasnt great (i think) and the chess club was awful"

Walford High has more books and chess clubs ? It struck me as the kind of school to have scanners for knives ( when they set it there once with Lou Mitchell and Keegan!)
It's obviously had a make over since then.
Although I'd like Barney to do well!
Martin gets involved because of Bex I suppose
Plus he knows Phil always helps out people , even those not strictly familllyyyy. It's how it is with Phil. Especially as that biro saved his boy ( once )

Bex was a druggie once ! Oh yes
She ended up under a subway and
Callum found her I think ? Or Ben ?

Jean was always a strange one
Harvey isn't anything to do with her family really
She was just horrible.
I hope he tells her where to go and finds someone worthy of him. Although there are slim pickings on the square ( Kat is single ! lol)

Teddy would also look good on the set of ' Howard's way' the jumper boating look.

I thought when Harvey was talking to Kathy that they would be a new couple. I can't see Jumpers and Chelsea getting together. She could do so much better.

Chelsea is very attractive, but the ' rules ' are you go out with the punters on the square so a jumper / Chels hook up might happen !
His bound to bed someone soon I bet , Sharon , Kat , Denise , Honey .. even Kath
(Might want to get a free bacon roll and a cuppa ! ) although she is still in love with Rocky.

Chelsea has the best wardrobe on the square she will want jumpers in better clothing unless she only wants him out of clothes and not as a long term thing

Teddy's shirts are a bit meh. Always well ironed , but a bit bright.
Chelsea needs to take him shopping if they get it on, although he might fight her for the jumpers .

Harvey and Kathy, please no! She deserves someone who isn’t a waste of space for a change.

And ditto Chelsea, she deserves a decent man! I’m pretty sure Jumpers is set on Sharon, as part of his plan to destroy Phil and his empire. But he is not averse to schmoozing everyone in sight.

I didn’t blame Jean for giving Harvey the chop, he lied to her twice. He is a weak foolish man, can’t be trusted.

I know I've said this before - but the care home has no CCTV on the entry door? Ditto Peggy's, a London club would have CCTV. That would put paid to Reiss's alibi.

Lolling at how Sonia completely bypassed court and went straight to jail.

The writers are USELESS

What would be the procedure for a murder case like this in real life? ( I know she hasn't done it etc)

I always imagined a court case with a jury ?
Held in custody at first , not given bail and then on trial at a later date ( which can be a year in some cases!)
Although I admit my knowledge is based on tv dramas, the odd real life documentary and fictional detective books which arn't always correct.

I'm away this week, so haven't watched any of the episodes yet. But have been reading spoilers etc.

What I don't get is, if they found Sonia's DNA on Debbie's pillow, how come they didn't find Reiss' DNA on there too? Afterall, he went in after her and used the pillow to smother her with ffs!

Reiss's prints were definitely on that pillow he smothered her with surely ?
I can't understand how nobody checked up on her after Sonia left. The nurse asked her to sign the book , surely she would have gone in at some stage before Reiss turned up ? I know he came along fairly quickly after Sonia left, but even so!

They did find Reiss's DNA on the pillow, that's why he was arrested. He's a regular visitor so that isn't surprising, but as they have no record of him visiting that day, how did it get there? Do the care home not change the bedlinen regularly?

My memory of is that Reiss sneaked in when the desk was unoccupied, and closed the door so they didn't see him with Debbie. Did the smothering, sneaked out again, unseen. That is why his phone is important 'evidence' that he was in Peggy's all evening, even though he wasn't. Because apparently there is no CCTV in London at all!

I guess Sonia should have been taken to court and charged before going to jail? (No one even asked which jail she was going to. Maybe she'll be banged up with Dean!)

A bit like the hospital they all go to, they often end up in the same prison.
It must be close to the square as anyone visiting often get there and back in no time!

I guess she could have Dean's cell if he gets a 'not guilty' next month 😄

Reiss’s DNA would be on Debbie’s hair , he would’ve touched her head at sometime and they wouldn’t wash her hair that regularly.

Off track but in Coronation Street there was a family where the mum was charged with her DH murder because her hair was found on the garage floor . She could’ve taken him sandwiches. She washed his overalls . Of course her hair could be there.
Law enforcement seems flakey in soaps .

Soap writers' knowledge of care homes is about as good as their knowledge of the law!

Dean getting off would put the cat amongst the six eh!
He deserves to rot for raping Linda and trying to mess with Jade's meds, but he didn't kill Ken !
Linda should have fessed up from the start really and avoided all this angst
