Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I was amazed by how quickly the house sale went through.
Outside of Walford it would’ve dragged on for months.

the80sweregreat · 20/08/2024 19:45

House buying takes months these days , so it's incredibly quick. Which is totally unrealistic!
( a bit like most of the storylines lately to be fair)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/08/2024 22:00

Wonder why they did a Baby In. A Hot Car storyline, though they do seem to home in on some hard hitting subjects .

They could’ve had a Dog In. A Car storyline . Bobby could’ve stowed away in Ian’s van when Pete drove to the Cash&Carry and take Tyson ( Rat-on-a-String) to either try and bond with him or assert his dominance over him. Then leave him to come to a sticky end. Anna would hate Bobby . Bobby could be all distraught ( except he wouldn’t show it ‘cos he’s a weirdy little psychopath) and bugger off to live with Jane leaving Anna to cop off with Freddie , who is nice

Bunionbabe · 20/08/2024 22:10

People buy houses and businesses for cash in EE with no paperwork or legals. Likewise for jobs, start tomorrow, no mention of hours or pay rates.

Shellingbynight · 20/08/2024 22:22

Yes that house purchase seemed to go through in a fortnight - as if!

The baby in the car storyline and 'ooh it's so hot' felt very forced. It was entirely to force Harvey out of the family, but an odd way to do it, given there is a far better way - the fact he's giving most of his money to whatsername.

What a satisfying ending to the episode though 👏

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 05:39

70s! Love the idea of Bobby just leaving like that and Anna being with Freddie !

Eastie77Returns · 21/08/2024 08:24

Businesses also change hands very quickly in EE. A shake of the hands and it’s all done.

When Nish sold Kathy the cafe for a £1 she was back in charge the following day ‘doing the books’.

The Arches passed between Phil, Ben, Sharon, Keanu and back to Phil without a lawyer or piece of paper in sight.

usernother · 21/08/2024 08:35

I wonder how many people have been arrested whilst inside the Vic over the years. It's got to be a lot.

Southeastdweller · 21/08/2024 08:54

No surprise at all that Sonia was charged for Debbie’s murder in today’s episode.

Since it's been announced online that Bobby is leaving , I've noticed the actor isn't making a lot of effort. I know that's his character, but it's obvious his now phoning it in!
I hope he gets a happy ending and lives with Jane and Masood though as he'd be happier there!

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 10:49

Todays one was good !
Although Reiss throwing her under the bus wasn't surprising to anyone

boringingoring · 21/08/2024 11:53

Does anybody understand Sharon, Zack, Priya and Martin's living arrangements? I think Sharon said the other day that Martin had moved out - but where to?

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 12:01

I think Sharon meant Martin had moved out of her place and living with Zack now?
Didn't Priya have to move out after a day or two as well ? Where is she living now?
I admit I get confused with the living arrangements of most of them tbh. Bernie and Felix are moving into one of Jack's flats paid for by Sharon , for a while anyway!
Does Freddie still live with Alfie in one of jacks too?
Junior has the best place by far ! It's actually very nice.
Most of them would have moved out of that area years ago as rents or buying is expensive
Grays place must be worth a fortune. Jumpers must be loaded even if it has been reduced in price !

Shellingbynight · 21/08/2024 12:10

Priya was going to move out, but not sure if that happened or Martin relented?

Is Junior's flat on the Square - we haven't seen that interior before have we? Is it one of Jack's flats?

I think Freddie moved out of Alfie's and back in with Jean al? Just after he got back, he realised it was too crowded at Alfie's. Is Kat still living at Alfie's?

I suspect Jumpers has a lot of ill gotten gains he needs to launder 😆 He seems to be awash with cash.

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 12:14

Alfie has disappeared lately !
Kat and her three boys in that flat must be very crowed. I'm sure that Jack owns that one.
Junior's place was once Dean and Jades , but not sure who owns it.
I always thought Jack had two flats and his house where he lives with Amy and Ricky.
Dee and Raymond live with Phil.
Chelsea is moving in with Patrick

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/08/2024 12:33

I have loads to catch up with , we all knew that as soon as Gray started making noises about selling that Jumpers would buy that house. It has a separate Utility/Laundry room too . Back in the day , nobody had a washing machine and all had service washes done at the laundrette, they’re slowly moving into own WM territory.
When Vincent owned the house he converted the basement for his mum to live in. It was one of the only houses with a garage but I think that’s gone now but it does have its own off street parking.
Wonder how Jumpers will decorate, or will he just keep the decor .

Gray could’ve done the conveyancing from his cell , it’s not like he doesn’t have time and I’m sure Ritchie could do the legal work for Jumpers over her bowl of granola and morning coffee

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 12:39

When we bought our house over 18 years ago I remember a clause about ' money laundering ' in the contracts from the solicitors and the bank.
If jumpers has paid for Gray's place with 'dirty money ' then I'd be surprised, he must be cleaning it up somewhere along the lines. Even Phil was suspicious of the 2k he gave him in cash. Maybe the reason Harry had all those injuries is because of all the dodgy dealings they are clearly up to.
One rumour I've read is Chrissie watts is one of his ex's too! What a coincidence that would be ( although I don't think this is the case )

Anyonecanfallinlove · 21/08/2024 12:41

Has Reiss purposely framed Sonia or is he thinking as she is innocent there will be a way to get her out? After all if the police can check his mobile phone location to give him an alibi, can't they check Sonia's? Why have they only checked his and not hers? Wasn't she at home cooking a roast, at 10pm!

the80sweregreat · 21/08/2024 12:43

You can do legal work from a prison cell apparently! I remember looking it up after Gray was carted off to jail as people speculated he would sell up.
lol at granola and coffee , Ritchie is definitely one of those types isn't she! In her posh penthouse flat wafting about in a silk dressing gown and smelling of channel number five or ( even worse ) Poison perfume!

Re money laundering. We recently gave our son a bit of help with a deposit (just £2000) towards his house purchase and we had to produce bank statements showing the money in our account for his financial advisor, then the mortgage lender and also the solicitor along with two forms of ID.

Southeastdweller · 21/08/2024 13:18

I’ve never bought a property before - does the mortgage provider need to know where the deposit from the borrower came from? I don’t think so. But maybe Teddy Jumpers is paying for the house outright.

Shellingbynight · 21/08/2024 14:14

Ah so Junior’s flat is Dean’s old flat?

Raymond and Dee moved out of Phil's he's living all alone. Dee is back with Patrick.

I would think Teddy paid cash, he does not seem a mortgage type of guy. A conveyancing solicitor is supposed to do due diligence on where the money is from, but he would have a dodgy Richie-type solicitor.

I think it's all planned. He's after Dot's house! I think he tried to kill Debbie too and that's how she ended up in a coma, he's just finished the job now

Rory17384949 · 21/08/2024 14:18

Anyone else hate the Cindy & Junior storyline?
Saying something when you feel sorry for Ian Beale but even he deserves better than Cindy!

Southeastdweller · 21/08/2024 14:26

I just find Junior so unappealing in every way possible so I find the story very unengaging. Also it’s inevitable they’ll get found out so probably Cindy will leave. I just can’t get invested really.
