Anyone else watching? It’s all kicking off at 6:30pm, apparently with the athletes parade first.

London 2012 OC was remarkable, I’m hoping the French can match that magic!

I’m very excited for the next few weeks of sport, there will be something I get randomly obsessed with. Last time it was the modern pentathlon, can’t wait to see what tickles my fancy this year!

We’re watching! Feeling nostalgic for the London 2012 opening ceremony which I watched solo as DH went to bed after we drank far too much wine.

I got stupidly emotional and weirdly patriotic and also had the worlds worst hangover the next morning 😂.

Am interested to see if there’s much of an atmosphere with them not holding it in a stadium - feels like it has the potential to be a bit flat?
