Anyone else watching? It’s all kicking off at 6:30pm, apparently with the athletes parade first.

I watched the London 2012 opening last night. I was crying within the first 30 seconds.

How is this even an opening ceremony?

Makes me proud of London 2012.

In a stadium ceremony they basically play a pre-recorded click track and everyone sings with that playing.

I feel a bit for the athletes. Surely that moment when you walk into the stadium as part of your team must be an emotional highlight. Instead this is like our local regatta.
