Roy's a free man, and Carla and Swain are close to kissing
Will Bethany quit moaning, she does it all the time!
Sarah is still hot, but needs to slow down on the wine

Leanne's missing too, has that cult bloke kidnapped her then?
And where are the quads, does anyone ever see them?
Paul's still alive, hanging on and on in there
Cop Kit's a bit tasty but a bit annoying and hard to bear

Not much with the Platts or the Barlows or The Rovers
Carla's pub money being stolen by Jenny and Daisy has been glossed over
Adam still has his wacky hair that's a bit greasy
Daniel's still boring, yet the cutest girls to him come easy

The school bully storyline has eased off a bit
So Maria can chill - and Sarah can get off with Kit
I hope it's OK for me to start this new thread my friends

If you're the child that's given away, when your siblings weren't, it must affect your outlook on life. He doesn't realise how lucky he was considering what a shit mother Bernie was to the children she kept. Paul was sexually abused by her partner, so he dodged that one for a start.

I didn't like Bernie to start with but she has tried hard and does alot for both of them

I thought Gemma was particularly cruel to Bernie. She wouldn’t manage without her. She does loads of childcare, helps her at home, provides financial support sometimes and always has her back, Most mothers wouldn’t do as much as Bernie does.

Most mothers would tell Gemma a few home truths

Why do Paul and Gemma have different surnames ? She’s Winter ( same as Bernie) Paul is Foreman.

Maybe one from each parent?

Wasn't Bernie Winters a tv star in the 70s with a St Bernard

I met a St Bernard in the park earlier and thought about dear departed Mike and Bernie Winters. The dog is the only thing I can remember about them.

Well according to Reddit - they grew up separately, so Gemma has her Mums surname, Paul his Dads.

Apparently it has been raised in the programme before!

Ches would really suit a St Bernard. Whatever happened to Schmeichal? I like soap opera dogs. The scene where Evelyn had to say goodbye to Serberus was one of the most emotional things I’ve seen on TV in a long time.

Gemma will be back leaning on Bernie before the Euros are over. Bernie makes no bones about her past but she’s trying her best to make up for it, and she‘s doing a damn good job.

Schmichael was PTS back in 2011. Very sad 😢

Arranging to meet your adopted child then not turning up is the really unforgivable bit. I lost all sympathy for her after that.

I like Bernie and I think she's a good character. It's easy to forget her previous years of neglect of the twins, because that was never seen on screen. We've mainly seen 'good Bernie' (well 'good' if you forget the recent jail sentence for handling stolen goods). But for Paul and Gemma some babysitting and laundry isn't going to wipe out their awful childhoods.

But yes it is inevitable that Bernie will be back in the fold after some shortlived anguish.

No, I don’t think it has been because the doctor or was he a nurse? We’ll be asked when her last period was and she said 3 or 4 weeks ago so I don’t think she’s that far along. Mind you, you do hear of people trying for years and years on IVF and not getting anywhere then when they think it won’t happen for them, they don’t really think about having a child anymore or make other plans like adoption, they fall pregnant naturally
