I understand why people don't feel sorry for Zac , he isn't a particularly nice person and a total cad, but Whitney did lie to him over Britney and was very unreasonable over all of it. Plus he also lost a child too.
In soaps they always turn to someone else , but I agree his done it once too often and I had forgotten poor old Nancy.
I don't like the character, but yesterday I just felt a bit sorry for him. However, he was nasty to Lauren and he needs to sort himself out

Yes who was going to be cheffing in Ravi’s establishment while Zack went off and got pissed again? Ravi didn't seem to be very busy on a bank holiday.

I feel like I’ve seen enough of Lauren to last a lifetime. Couldn’t she go and join Penny in France? I’m sure Kathy/Peter/a random on the market would take care of Louis.

The Nish storyline made me think of a recent Archers storyline, where arch villain Rob (formerly imprisoned for domestic abuse) returned to the village with a terminal brain tumour. Clearly the writers are Archers fans. But it’s also a nice nod back to Suki’s ‘terminal illness’.

Nobody was cheffing in Ravi's place because he went off to see Suki and he gave Zac time off so he must have shut up shop.
Business is very flexible on the square , but at least Ian was seen doing something remotely food related and the cafe was open and the chicken shop, so they don't go hungry.

Oh yes I guess all Ravi's customers could have gone to Ian's for eels! I do enjoy Cindy's loathing of Lauren.

I feel sorry for Zack too. Whitney treated him terribly over Britney, and most of their relationship was a case of her way or the highway so he's best off out of it (apart from the small matter of Dolly).

Cindy has a nerve being nasty to Lauren.
She is hardly a saint herself.
Lauren is annoying and whiny , but she didn't pretend to be dead for years or try to have Peter killed ( yet anyway!)
She was single when she slept with Zac. Cindy has had multiple affairs historically too.
Total hypocrisy, but it is how it is with all of them isn't it? Do as I say

Oh I agree re Cindy, but I do like watching their spats! Especially while Lauren is feeling so sorry for herself (as you say, whiny).

Yeah, it was funny with Cindy I guess.
She isn't scared to say what she thinks. Plus Lauren is on the back foot and seen as the bad egg.

I definitely agree Whitney did not treat him well in the relationship, especially over Britney - she always called the shots. It was doomed from the start I think. IIRC she had a crush on him but thought he was a player and then they had a one night stand at a party and she got pregnant. This kind of forced them together, even though she kept it from him initially. Then there was the coming to terms with his HIV diagnosis and spiralling over that and keeping it from Whitney, and then Peach’s illness which made them both grow up a bit. The relationship has always been a case of him proving to Whitney that he is worthy of being with her. I think he needs to work on himself and stop seeking validation in sexual relationships.

Yes that's a good summary. I think the storyline with Peach was supposed to have turned him into an 'ex player' and as you say make him grow up, and it more or less did but they were always a doomed couple really.

Edit - I hope he and Lauren don't end up together as they will be equally bad for each other.

Even if Peach had lived and not had that dreadful disease , they would have split up as that's what Zac does ( plus nobody stays together long in EE land)

Not that I like her, but he is bad news ( even if I did feel sorry for him yesterday)

He’s actually a really well written character.

Yes. He is well written. We have all known a ' Zac' type I bet.
A player who just goes from relationship to relationship without really looking into his own soul. His dad was awful , he didn't have much guidance in life and just blames everyone else for his own failings as an adult.
Sharon has tried with him, but she isn't a great role model herself

Ravi looks different but I can't put my finger on why. Anyone else noticed?

I didn't notice anything different about Ravi?

I can't think of any men on the Square who are any better than Zack - i.e. have not cheated/stolen/blackmailed/assaulted etc? I was going to say Peter (despite him being boring as hell) but actually he stole a big chunk of money from Kathy. And doubtless did his share of cheating back in the day!

I've just finished watching I didn't notice anything different about Ravi I'll definitely take a closer look next episode😉

Lauren needs to stay away from Zac he's found the 1 to blame and he will be at her for months about how she chased his family away !

I know he's an absolute horror but I love Nish he's a great character If he's dying I wonder what damage he will do before he goes.

I would imagine no.1 on his bucket list would be split up Suki and Eve. He's nice like that.

I don't like Nish ( it keeps saying Nosh on the phones)

He’s a manipulator, but I felt sorry for him in today’s episode.

Caught up at lunchtime. It seemed to me at the end Suki was almost happy if he did die of his heart disease earlier than planned!

Zack is a complete arsehole. Going off on one and not taking responsibility for his actions or hardly at all. What a man child. Bad example for EE to have really. Good that Peter stepped up.

I really think Cindy (yes I know she’s a cow!) was vilified for helping George but really she has no fun with Ian or her girls so I bet she breaks up with him soon.

Nosh is already annoying me !
Poor Suki on crutches
I had crutches once and it was hell.
Peter was nice , but I found Zac's old man's vest very distracting ( not in a good way )
It looked fresh out the packet though

The vest unnerved me it was a weird boxy shape !

Is Priya pregnant (not her character, in real life)? I'm sure she was hiding a bump in the shop.

Zac in that vest though ! 😂
His a young man , he shouldn't be wearing such attire even if he is only dossing around at home.

I actually think Zack suited the vest. It helped to show off his ripped muscles imho!
