Welcome to the EE spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Flashing neon signs 😂

It’s strange because I actually do know a child who was unofficially fostered by a close friend of mine but the mother was in agreement, the school knew and social services were involved. She was eventually properly fostered but it was unofficial to start with. It was long and complex though and certainly not a 5 minute thing like with Whitney. My friend only knew because her son was in the same primary school class as this child. And there’s no way she’d have moved her location and changed school. The mother was involved but only up to a point.

Mrsjayy · 24/05/2024 13:16

It was just too far fetched and rushed if it had been over time it would have made more sense. The leaving story was terrible but it's nice she has Dolly though.

the80sweregreat · 24/05/2024 13:21

I think the writers wanted a child like Whitney was once was to be ' rescued ' by her and wear her old hat on leaving day on a bus ( so full circle from bus stop in 06 to leaving on one to a better life )
Totally stupid and far fetched , but this is a soap where such storylines are generally stretched out and a bit silly. At least Zac and Bianca will have a place to visit now if they want to leave or have a break.
Make a change from MK

Mrsjayy · 24/05/2024 13:27

I think Britany was wearing Whit s hat, I quite liked her cheesey market send off.

the80sweregreat · 24/05/2024 13:29

They did look genuinely upset she was leaving I think and Felix and his photos was a nice touch.

Shellingbynight · 24/05/2024 14:32

I felt sorry for Zack having Dolly taken away but it’s the story of his whole relationship - Whitney telling him how things are going to be, and him having to like it or lump it.

Whitney isn’t providing a stable home for Britney, then again she bought her in the first place so hard to be surprised about anything that happened after that. All the Whitney-Britney stuff just felt so forced to me.

I thought the clapping crowds at the end was awful - I am sure Shona is very popular and it was really for her rather than Whitney, but as if they would all carry on like that. On the Square they are well used to people abruptly leaving, or even turning up again when they are dead, it barely raises an eyebrow 😄

Edited

I thought the same. Any market I know especially an East End one, they’re mostly concerned with selling stuff and that’s their interaction! Or going down the pub after work or if there’s a proper old fashioned funeral with horses and carriage.

the80sweregreat · 24/05/2024 16:07

Even Shrimpy had a line yesterday.
Must have been a quiet trading day!!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/05/2024 16:33

Did Tracey the Barmaid get a speaking line to say goodbye ?

I noticed The Hat , Whit was wearing the BakerBoy Bunnet when she arrived on EE

Mrsjayy · 24/05/2024 16:37

No, the extra money was spent in shrimpy and Winston, who also had a line this week

Shellingbynight · 24/05/2024 16:45

Maybe Shona is mates with Shrimpy! I think Tracey had a line at the Hen though? ISTR she was serving drinks dressed as little red riding hood?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/05/2024 16:46

When Tracey uttered the words "Phil Mitchell? Best sex I ever had" she was signing her own death warrent on future lines .
You cannot top that !

I mean there is nowhere else to go after that line !

the80sweregreat · 24/05/2024 18:04

I can't imagine street wise Britney wearing such a hat , but hey ho , it looked ok in the end.
Tracey's line about Phil was funny.
Not many women he hasn't hasn't slept with or been married to on the square!

Eastie77Returns · 25/05/2024 11:29

Julia’s Theme exits always make me teary but I was dry eyed with this one as the entire SL was so ridiculous.

Social Services are really ok with Whitney dragging a vulnerable child halfway across the country to live with Ryan, who hasn’t been CRB checked, when they have no idea what kind of home she is going to?! How can they have agreed to all of this in a day.

Cringed at the clapping in the pub and market - very odd. The whole episode was obviously spliced together across different days with random cast members appearing to say goodbye and it just seemed very rushed and bitty. I was hoping Bianca would end up leaving. She was great in the past but now her character just seems a bit stale - shrieking at people, stealing food, rinse and repeat. She hasn’t evolved since the 1990s (and neither has her wardrobe!)

Mrsjayy · 25/05/2024 12:10

I think Patsy Palmer is just there temporarily Bianca will be on her way soon.

Mrsjayy · 25/05/2024 12:11

She lives in America I think she pops back to top up on earnings 😀

the80sweregreat · 25/05/2024 12:51

Ryan isn't the nicest of people ( from what I recall anyway ) and he had a go at Stacey over Lily having her ( now ) invisible baby Charli. Does he see Lily much ? He doesn't.
I doubt he'll be a huge support , but they usually do better away from the square , so fingers crossed it's all fine.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/05/2024 13:25

Ryan came back to The Square and tried to get Lill to move up to Yorkshire with him.
Then he got his own back on Stacey by cutting the (presumably not Court Ordered) Child Maintenance to the minimum level .

He's already got Britney enrolled in school . Did Whitney have the birth certificate for Britney ?
If she is now recognised as her Foster Carer there would be more legal processes to go through .
Whit/Brit/Dolly are not fleeing in fear of harm , percieved or actual .
Britney's Mum as much as said "Yeah I'm fine with this"

the80sweregreat · 25/05/2024 13:31

I know 70's ! It's beyond the realms of anything realistic.
They could have written Whitney out of it without the Britney story really , after all, it was Zac / Lauren revelations that pushed her over the edge. Bianca could have shown up for a visit without the on location visit to MK.

Mrsjayy · 25/05/2024 13:36

Oh so he did.and there is Whit Whit, dangling baby Dolly in front of Ryan and wife.

the80sweregreat · 25/05/2024 13:45

Maybe we will have to just believe that Whitney will get a job and a home and able to bring up two children on her own without too much interference from her brother and his wife ( who wants a child!) at least they said they e we paid help!
Ricky is now a successful businessman in Germany and he was always seen as a bit of a loser , so there is always more hope away from the square. ( I do overthink this stuff !!) lol

Shellingbynight · 25/05/2024 13:46

Yeh WhitWhit decides to leave at a few hours notice and Social Services say no problem. Whit is now separated, has no job, a newborn, and is going to stay with a random (from their point of view).

I do wonder how it would work out with Ryan's childless wife, given he was considering virtually kidnapping Lily and baby for her.

Shellingbynight · 25/05/2024 13:47

so there is always more hope away from the square

Yes that is often the case, although it hasn't worked that well for Bianca has it!

the80sweregreat · 25/05/2024 13:55

No, not sure what Bianca did in MK!
Whatever it was , it couldn't have been a job as she was able to work for Vinny straight away and leave her flat behind
I know her and Terry split up , so I don't think she did work thinking about it
