Welcome to the EE spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Anyone watched the episode today that’s broadcast on Wednesday? I’m confused with the Maya story. I guess that was her ‘deceased’ husband we saw.

Just checked the schedule, two on Wednesday and two on Thursday this week. I'll watch the first one later today. Not just confusing backstories but confusing scheduling!

It may be significant that Stevie went to Sal's funeral which is where he was initially going to approach Billy.

And there must be a reason that Phil is so angry with Stevie - almost moreso than Billy was. Phil knows something about Stevie which he hasn't yet revealed.

Wiki says Aunt Sal was married to Harold. They had two kids, Lenny and Loretta. Ooh while I was wiki-ing, look at this. Last Christmas, the month before Sal died, wiki says

"Sal sends a Christmas card to Billy and Honey and their children saying, "To Billy and the rest" which leaves Honey wondering why Sal can't be bothered to remember any of their names."

I remember Honey commenting on the "and the rest" card and complaining that Sal never mentioned the rest of the family by name. Followed by Phil making the announcement that she's dead😅 Maybe the fact she only bothered to write Billy's name is somehow significant?!

Mydoghealsmyheart · 01/07/2024 19:02

Can we watch them all on iPlayer today or are they releases singularly?

Singularly

Ok thanks. I thought I could treat myself and watch them all in one go! Shame I’ll have to wait.

the80sweregreat · 01/07/2024 20:16

I thought that Sal meant will / Janet in the Christmas card and couldn't remember their names ! Might have been Teddy and co

Shellingbynight · 01/07/2024 20:42

Yes, could be, @the80sweregreat

Yes that was Maya's husband. Aaron partially blinded him in the attack. She told Harvey her husband died last year didn't she? I'm not sure how she's going to get out of this one. (And I'm not convinced anyone in London has left their front door open since the 1970s.)

So Teddy now has a baby blue jumper around the shoulders. Lilac next time?
He said something about Billy being able to add up and realise the date re the mum's supposed fling.

Poor old Nugget, I guess the steroids have affected his heart.

Nish and Priya.🤑

NowNumber5 · 02/07/2024 10:47

Haven’t been able to watch properly recently so am missing a few details!

There seems to be a Freeman’s catalogue wannabe hanging around.

Nish and Priya - they are father and daughter in law 🤢🤮

And another secret spouse!

catin8oots · 02/07/2024 13:12

New boy Ted is deffo a dodgepot.

Nish and Priya - I dunno 🙅🏼‍♀️ I probably would, but he's not my FIL 🤮

Where's Linda? Drunk in the barrel store?

List of all that are currently are annoying me:

Nugget
Denzel
Howie
Yolanda (wonky wig)
Sausage
Harvey
Kat (just get back with Phil they were fab)
Sonia and whathisface (but at least we've had a few days break from their nonsense)

I could go on 😀

the80sweregreat · 02/07/2024 20:28

Watched two tonight that are on tomorrow night. . ( wed)
Not keen on jumper boy.
Poor Nugget though :(
He may be annoying, but he didn't deserve this.
Ravi looking gorgeous and I'm not a fan of his really !
Poor Jean too , although at least Harv now knows the score and what is going on. He won't tell Jean I bet. He should.

Mrsjayy · 02/07/2024 21:08

Mrsjayy · 02/07/2024 21:21

It does look good.

Shellingbynight · 03/07/2024 14:59

The spiking storyline could be good. I like Anna.

I’ve watched both today’s episodes now. Arghhh Nish and Priya, I need to bleach my brain after watching those scenes. Priya is a living nightmare.

So Teddy is manipulative, but I’m still not sure if he’s good or bad. Maybe he is like Ravi, has a dark side but is mostly an okay guy.

I am not overly bothered by Harvey, who is as he said himself, a mug, and still being one by lying to Jean. And the Maya storyline is really weird. Yet again in a soap, no mention of the benefits they’d be entitled to.

I am not overly bothered about Nugget either, but at least it gave us some Ravi. I’ve never seen Priya take any interest in Nugget before, I’d forgotten she’s his mum 😄

the80sweregreat · 03/07/2024 16:08

I'd forgotten that Priya is Nuggets mum too !.. such is the tangled love life on EE.
I loved the reminiscing about the drug dealers being sent out to buy his nappies. I thought that Ravi didn't have much to do with both of them early doors then went to prison? Sounds like he did have some kind of relationship with them.
Priya and nasty Nish was , well, nasty !
She is very attractive, but it's just wrong.
Why doesn't Maya claim benefits or down size ? She could afford cabs and drinks up the Vic.

Shellingbynight · 03/07/2024 16:35

They never think through financial storylines in soaps - as you say, they could downsize. And if they own that house (in a nice area), they had a lot more money than Harvey ever had, he's been renting people's spare rooms.

the80sweregreat · 03/07/2024 16:50

Was Harvey renting that flat when he first appeared on the square with Aaron and his daughter? I think he was.
Not sure if he owned any property pre this , but I can't even remember why they appeared at all only the fake BNP story with his son and his prison sentence.

I felt sorry for Jean yesterday
It's tricky as you feel for Maya and husband and Harvey made a mistake not reporting his son quickly enough , but he did eventually !

Shellingbynight · 03/07/2024 18:22

Harvey arrived after Dana, I think he maybe followed her there? He was renting a flat which looked, shall we say, basic. I think there were three guys living there for a while - was it Mitch, Harvey and Rocky? I don't find him particularly likeable, Jean could do better! (I liked Daniel.)

the80sweregreat · 03/07/2024 19:05

Loved Daniel too ! I wished that Ade Edmonton had stayed on and not died!
They were fab
Harvey is a bit of a wet lettuce snd should report Maya ( although for what I've no idea really as she hasn't had any money out of him etc!)
Maybe stalking ?

the80sweregreat · 03/07/2024 19:15

Edmondson rather !

Mrsjayy · 03/07/2024 19:17

I love Ade his Desert island discs is lovely it had me howling into my duvet proper sobs.

NowNumber5 · 03/07/2024 19:31

What’s with all this “son” business?!

Ravi saying it to Nugget I understand but Zack using it for Ravi?!! 😂

Who is the extra kid visiting Nuggs in hospital?

LexieGrey · 03/07/2024 20:20

It’s been almost twenty years since she last appeared on #EastEnders, but the infamous Chrissie Watts is on her way back to our screens later this autumn as Tracy-Ann Oberman reprises the role for a short stint.

Chrissie Watts famously left Walford in December 2005 after she was imprisoned for the murder of husband, Den Watts (Lesley Grantham). In a bid to protect their freedom, Chrissie alongside Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) and Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) buried Den under the floor of The Vic barrel store and Chrissie lived for months under false pretences with Den’s beloved adoptive daughter, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and his son Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman). Accomplice Sam was initially held responsible for the crime after she drunkenly dug up Den’s body on Sharon and Dennis’ wedding day, but Chrissie’s actions were soon uncovered when Phil (Steve McFadden) and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) returned to the Square in a bid to free their sister, and Chrissie has been imprisoned ever since.

Although Chrissie only resided in Walford for just over a year-and-a-half during her last stint, Chrissie left a whole heap of drama in her wake, and a long list of enemies. From hacking off Kate Mitchell’s (Jill Halfpenny) hair after she discovered the affair between her and husband Den, to finding herself on the receiving end of Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) wrath for getting daughter Zoe caught up in his murder, there are many people in Walford who were glad to see the back of her. However, Chrissie’s biggest enemy during her time in the Square came in the form of Den’s beloved ‘Princess’, Sharon, when Chrissie learnt the hard way that in Den’s world, his daughter always came first…

With the circumstances relating to her return currently under wraps it remains to be seen why the notorious Chrissie Watts is back, but one thing is for certain, there are sure to be fireworks…

On returning to EastEnders, Tracy-Ann Oberman said: “Chrissie Watts was such a great character to play - a victim or a villain. She is a real fan favourite so, when Chris Clenshaw asked me to come back and re-visit her and see what has happened in the last 19 years, I jumped at the chance. The scripts are fantastic and I hope the viewers enjoy her as much as I am enjoying playing her again.”

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: “I’m delighted to welcome the immensely talented Tracy-Ann back to the iconic role of Chrissie Watts. Although the character hasn’t been seen on screen for almost twenty years, Chrissie is cemented in EastEnders’ rich history for her murder of Walford’s most infamous villain, and Sharon’s beloved father, Dirty Den. I’m keeping tight-lipped on the exact circumstances relating to her return for the time being, but what I can promise is that it’s never quiet when Chrissie Watts is around.”

Nish and Prya made me feel really sick. Wait till the others find out - WHAT?
