Anyone just watched? Not sure what I made of that!

Yes you're right it was a different mobile number 🤦🏻‍♀️

OutOfTheHouse · 16/05/2024 21:50

They can triangulate any mobile phones position if they know the number. The police should be able to trace it.

This one felt like an old school Tales of the Unexpected.

NeverHeardOfSuchTosh · 16/05/2024 21:52

I've always loved The League of Gentlemen, and the last series of Inside No. 9, but I though last week's episode was poor, very daft and made no sense at all. Last night's was much better.

Clawdy · 16/05/2024 22:20

If the boy's phone was with him, why didn't he ring the police?

If the boy's phone was with him, why didn't he ring the police?

I assumed it wasn’t his phone? A burner or something?

ReadyTeddy1000 · 16/05/2024 23:04

I loved last night's episode - a few twists and turns 😍

Yes, if there's a signal, the phone could be triangulated.
And I don't know of any phones that can't phone 999, so yes, he could have phoned the police.

But either way, I loved it as an episode, much more old-school and nightmare-like than many

TheMarzipanDildo · 16/05/2024 22:59

I assumed it wasn’t his phone? A burner or something?

But he could still call the police. Even a phone without a sim can make a 999 call. Even if you don’t have a signal an emergency call will mean the phone will use any available company.

Mothership4two · 18/05/2024 09:31

Maybe he had disabled it from making outgoing calls?

InMySpareTime · 18/05/2024 09:40

Maybe he didn't know there was a phone in the dark box with him until it rang

Chrysanthemum5 · 18/05/2024 12:09

Maybe it only had a tiny amount of battery and he'd been told his dad would call and rescue him

pancakechops · 22/05/2024 22:32

Liked that one, better than last week. Predictable though.

EsmaCannonball · 22/05/2024 22:33

Well, Michael Ball has a good sense of humour.

3kidsaremorethanenough · 22/05/2024 22:45

Enjoyed tonight's better than last weeks, love the whole premise being from the point of view of the doorbell camera Reece is soooooooooooo good at being angry and full of rage

TellyUsername · 22/05/2024 22:54

Poor popcorn!

Liked this weeks one.. loved the different perspective of it being through a ring door bell camera. They r so clever with their writing.

Iamiams · 23/05/2024 10:32

Love the bloke who plays Larry. He is such a good actor.

EsmaCannonball · 23/05/2024 10:40

It did remind me a bit of that one-off drama Channel 4 did a few years ago about a couple who moved into a new house and began to suspect that the people next door were abusing a child. That was all told from the perspective of CCTV cameras and phone footage.

TellyUsername · 23/05/2024 10:41

This series feels a bit lazy.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/05/2024 10:54

Love the bit where one said "He cut her up and put her body in the suitcases ..it was a week before she went missing..."

Very "Well yes he looked dodgy , I knew there was something going on"

Yes Grin
I also enjoyed Adrian Scarborough’s Alan Bennett voice.

Adrian Scarborough. Yes, very versatile actor.

I just kept thinking at the beginning that the neighbours didn't have a porch (she said put the tupperware in the porch if we aren't in)

Unimportant, but I think I get fixated by details when I'm watching this.

Didn't spot the Hare, but I'm guessing it must have been somewhere near the end when you saw 'inside number 9' for the first time.

I have a porch round the back of my house (does that still count as a porch?)

Thank you whoever mentioned the stage show next year, just sorted DHs Xmas present!

OrchardDoor · 23/05/2024 11:15

I like the actress Dorothy Atkinson who played the opposite neighbour. She was in "That Day we Sang" with Michael Ball.
