Anyone just watched? Not sure what I made of that!

Oof! I thought tonight's was good.

JackieQueen · 15/05/2024 22:59

Very dark! They are so clever!

pastaisgod · 15/05/2024 23:02

Wasn't so keen on tonight's one

Supersimkin2 · 15/05/2024 23:06

Smart fable - the end was too brutal for me. Yikes, the pinpoint cruelty on my soft lady heart.

They’re the best screenwriters in the world. Why no movie? Can they only do
30 min/pp or something 😄

pastaisgod · 15/05/2024 23:14

Why didn't he ask Robbie more questions? Like where are you?

spiderlight · 15/05/2024 23:16

That was a nasty one tonight! Very uncomfortable. And I didn't spot the hare.

TheMarzipanDildo · 16/05/2024 05:24

I really loved last nights one. And I want that barn conversion.

Well, I guess the asking price will be cheaper now.

I never spot the hare.

EsmaCannonball · 16/05/2024 07:03

Oh, and the Gregg Wallace reference made me laugh out loud and made me wonder if the writers are Mumsnetters.

pastaisgod · 16/05/2024 07:49

Also didn't spot the hair. And I think the theme of this one was very similar to the concrete mud bath last series. As always the writing and acting were superb but the story didn't feel as original as last weeks.

Hare obviously.

This is how I felt about it. Enjoyable but not as original. Also didn't spot the hare.

The boy had no idea, he was kidnapped and put into a box and buried somewhere. He wouldn’t have been able to tell him where he was if he’d asked.

Hopefully someone who spotted the hare will be along soon and can enlighten us!

I think I fancied Steve a bit in this episode. Might’ve been the facial hair, might’ve been the coat, not sure 😂

TellyUsername · 16/05/2024 09:11

From Reddit

It was on the windowsill behind the kitchen sink, on the right hand side.

I agree it had very similar theme to the concrete mud bath story last year. Very Tales of the Unexpected.

I spotted the Hare on the windowsill. I thought it would be more difficult to spot due to the darkness.

Also loved the Mary Berry / Greg Wallace bit.

I'm really excited to see what they do next. I guess next year's stage show is going to be taking up much of their time in the immediate future. Whoever gets to see that is in for a treat. I saw LOG live, and it was outstanding.

I also hope Reece does Taskmaster. I may have said that before.

EsmaCannonball · 16/05/2024 09:53

Might be spoiling things here if you haven't seen The Bridge but it also reminded me of Season One of that.

why on earth would you thing they would be mumnetters from this? as if!

The world and his wife hates Greg Wallace!

OrchardDoor · 16/05/2024 12:17

I enjoyed it. Wouldn't the police have been able to trace the phone his son had?

Chrysanthemum5 · 16/05/2024 13:20

@OrchardDoor I found it disturbing so I'm holding on to the thought that the phone can be traced!

LouisaGuy · 16/05/2024 16:32

Yes I'm hoping find my phone was enabled. Brutal ending. Got me right in the feels as a parent to a son of similar age

InMySpareTime · 16/05/2024 16:38

I assumed it wasn't the son's normal phone or he would have recognised the number in the coat pocket.

OrchardDoor · 16/05/2024 16:42

I didn't think it was the son's usual phone due to the number being what Reese gave him, but would police not be able to trace any number?

TellyUsername · 16/05/2024 16:44

I wonder if anyone has rung the number to see if it's real/has a message on it.

Sleepismyfavourite · 16/05/2024 16:48

2nd episode I felt was too graphic & not as clever. Similar to the one pp mentioned last series with the cement & the bath. I prefer the less gory ones where it is left more to your imagination.
