No spoilers but it is back to the standard of writing it used to have. With the exception of one plot line that did make me absolutely cringe which @Scorchio84 will know 😂

They all look younger than in last series. SJP has a shiny forehead. Even the young Italian looked to be in soft focus. I’m wondering if they’re using some kind of filter on the whole show like in This is Us.

Shiny foreheads are usually a sign of Botox (I should know 😆) but yeah maybe there is a filter too 🤔? Not quite as bad as those old American daytime soaps though..

My favourite line: “This is ballet, not Grindr!” 😆

I prefer dewy make up because it is less ageing I think for me. I would probably come across as having a shiny forehead with and without make up but I’ve never had Botox. I’m in my 50’s. SJP has aged well (and gracefully IMO) staying away from the tweakments (unlike Jennifer Anniston or Courtney Cox). I think yes she has had Botox in her 11’s and possibly forehead.

Did everyone assume from the S2 season finale that Aidan and Carrie would cut all contact for 5 years? I kind of assumed they would talk regularly, and that Aidan would not be visiting—that Carrie could visit him. No contact seems a bit extreme, no? What downfall are we being set up for here? I’ve always been Team Aidan.

This did feel like a return to vintage SATC in some ways but one of the storylines had me cringing.

Loved the guest appearance and twist storyline though!

She looks younger than last series for sure. May just be how she’s being shot but a definite smooth forehead. I’m torn because I loved that she looked her age, and was still fabulous but I get it and I’m tempted myself at 54. Can’t wait to discuss head gear…… not saying anymore just yet…..

The show is out in the UK as of 30 May. I know if I didn’t want to view discussions, I’d hold off on clicking on any threads before I had a chance to view.

The head gear was ridiculous IMO. But I guess we aren’t allowed to discuss.

Obviously we need to discuss the absolute cringe fest that was the Aidan phone sex. Not even vaguely redeemed by the comedy horn. The charm with SATC was that Carrie was never really shown having sex and SJP has a strict nudity clause. For me, up there with the crying in the truck scene from S2. If they insist on JC being in it with his clothes on please no more of this or I’ll wish Che was back 😆 (kidding obviously)

Rosie O’Donnell was a brilliant casting choice and The Virgin Mary storyline SATC at its best. Even Miranda was back to her old self. Can’t wait for Dolly Wells to return as the new Miranda love interest. Miranda’s clothes are better too.

DH used to think I was quite ‘Carrie’ in my younger years plus I have a lot of shoes (basically I could shoe a millipede) but even he vetoed the ‘Holly Hobbie’ hat. Up there with the tricorn number from AJLT s1. WTAF 😂

LTW has the wardrobe to covet I think (ignoring the safari suit with the make up brushes 😆) Shame Herbert wasn’t actually singing live but I loved that story arc. I hope they give Harry less hammy story arcs but I still think the missed colonoscopy from past seasons is coming back as a story 😢
