Just seen my first advert that it's back!!!! Japan to Indonesia starting 10th April, brilliant, my absolute favourite!

Hopefully a bit more interesting than 'just Canada 😉' too!

Thanks - hadn't seen this advertised yet but love this show so can't wait.

You4coffee · 01/04/2024 18:36

Looking forward to this

ManchesterBeatrice · 01/04/2024 18:36

Oh god, hope it's better than the celeb one with the tedious z listers.

I really enjoyed that series - which I really didn't expect to. Possibly because I'd been to a lot of the places.

Looking forward to this one and hopefully it will bury the memory of the Canada series which was very dul.

Series 1 has been my favourite so far.

everythinglooksbetterpaintedblack · 01/04/2024 18:45

Love this program

Riverlee · 01/04/2024 18:47

Love this series. My favourite contestants were the mother and son who ran out of money and spent their final money going horse riding.

Also love the two best friends from Canada(one had who had a visual impairment. ) Hope the husband of one of them (can’t remember which one) is doing okay.

SwedishEdith · 01/04/2024 18:47

Oo, this should be good. Japan is notoriously very expensive, I think, so will be interesting to see how they manage. I really enjoyed the celeb one and was expecting not to.

Oh I loved those two ladies in Canada ❤️

TokyoSushi · 01/04/2024 19:31

My favourite is still the South America one with Jen & Rob and Jo & Sam and the brother & sister. I also liked how series 1 went to really random places like Kazakhstan!

This one should be good as we're back to a real language barrier again and really interesting places, yay!

Joining this thread, it's one of my favourite programmes!

Japan can be fine if you stay away from ‘business’ hotels and restaurants. We didn’t find it particularly expensive at all. And the trains are so reasonable compared to our prices!

Elebag · 06/04/2024 12:35

This one will be loads of fun. They'll be so out of their depth.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/04/2024 12:38

I love this programme! Thanks for letting me know, as I also hadn't seen any adverts.

yesbutnobut · 06/04/2024 12:39

Just read the profiles of the couples on the BBC website - it looks really promising I think. Can't wait!

SuburbanCrofter · 06/04/2024 14:00

I can't wait! I feel sorry for the mum and daughter who started learning French, German and Spanish in preparation then realised they would be useless!

Wonkypictureframe · 06/04/2024 14:09

French can be helpful in some parts of Asia. But agree that it was probably quite a wasted time investment!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 06/04/2024 18:18

Placemarking for Wednesday, really looking forward to it

Totally agree, I found the Canada one tedious, not enough public transport, too many obvious or only routes and no border jeopardy.

PinkTeaForMe · 09/04/2024 05:54

So excited about this series

MrsLargeEmbodied · 09/04/2024 05:58

should be interesting.

I enjoyed that one, mainly because Billy Monger and his sister were just lovely to watch.

MaggieFS · 09/04/2024 09:06

Oooh, love this show. Asia should allow a huge range of routes and cost options. Agree, Canada was very dull.

RonnieOmelettes · 09/04/2024 09:46

Canada scenery was amazing, just too few options
