I think a lot of people would disagree with your comment about Zoe

I think it's an age thing.

This is what I said last week in the old thread:

I'd love a happy ending to Charlie's story like him and Josh going travelling into the sunset, but unfortunately I think there is only one way now for him.

I wasn't too far off in the end!

How did they have the time to have a whip-round and go and buy him a car given that he seemed to decide to retire and then left not too soon afterwards?

He's 75!

I think it's an age thing.

I'll extend on that. Some of have been watching from the beginning and remember 'Zoe' from Brookside too. So, I still agree with my POV. Thank you.

Agreed, it makes much more sense for Zoe to return as she was more of a friend of Charlie's. I always found AM's character irritating, anyway.

Well Charlie saved Zoe from drowning on her wedding day so of course they have a huge bond.

I loved Connie! Such a shame she hasn't come back. She and Charlie were good friends too.

FourLeggedBuckers · 28/03/2024 23:36

I’m not quite clear on how SS’s character in Brookside would influence her popularity as Zoe in Casualty.

I mean, I remember her from Brookside too, I just don’t follow the logic.

Obviously people are entitled to dislike her or prefer Connie (or Baz or any other character from Charlie’s past), but she is hugely popular with a lot of fans regardless.

I think she’s grand, I really liked her as a character, and as an actor.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 30/03/2024 09:35

I found the most recent two episodes with the massive focus on Rash a bit tedious - I don’t think his character is watchable enough to sustain the leading role in the way that Stevie’s was. It picked up a bit in the second episode when some different storylines were introduced but that first one was an absolute slog.

New Max seems a bit dull. Where’s Dylan?

UsernameChangerRanger · 30/03/2024 21:24

Dylan, Ngozi, Iain and Rash focused episode? More of these please!

SandysMam · 30/03/2024 21:27

Oooh what do we think went on in the ambulance??

UsernameChangerRanger · 30/03/2024 21:39

Poor teddy got seriously assaulted I think.

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 30/03/2024 21:54

I was hoping the bride to be would pipe up and tell someone what happened to Teddy. Poor Teddy too!

FourLeggedBuckers · 30/03/2024 22:52

Poor Teddy, I don’t know what they did to him, but he looked pretty traumatised.

And poor Dylan too. Not a good day for him.

Ngozi and the new doctor are a lovely pairing though 😀

purpleme12 · 30/03/2024 23:06

Yes I guess Teddy might have been sexually assaulted?

Lookingatthesunset · 30/03/2024 23:28

That's what we thought.

What a horrible lot.

Cattyisbatty · 31/03/2024 09:29

Teddy must’ve been sexually assaulted, poor Teddy. He’s so lovely.

NameChangeAgain0224 · 31/03/2024 09:51

Cattyisbatty · 31/03/2024 09:29

Teddy must’ve been sexually assaulted, poor Teddy. He’s so lovely.

As soon as the woman closed those ambulance doors it was obvious what was going to happen to him 😢

When she alter flicking through her photos / videos when in cubicles with her friend I expected the video to come on about what they’d done to Teddy and Nurse Jodie would have seen it / heard it and that’s how it would come out. Now that it didn’t happen that way I’m wondering how it will come to light.

Great storyline though as sexual abuse against men should be highlighted and I hope he plays the storyline really well and sympathetically.

AnImaginaryCat · 31/03/2024 10:32

Yes Teddy has been sexually assaulted. If it was just the blonde unpleasant one (while the rest just let it happen) hopefully the bride will help Teddy in the sense of being a witness.

Though if it was enmass I'm not sure how it'll play out.

Did you notice the stripper ran away, just in his gold pants, so he evidently got sexually harasseed while all just stood by.

Also really like new doctor and Nygozi. That's three our of the four newbies I like.

Patrick is a weirdly new not new character. His relationship with everyone is odd.

Why do you think it's odd?

I like that about the new consultant though. He's just there as part of the furniture.

NameChangeAgain0224 · 31/03/2024 11:07

I really like Patrick - it feels like he’s been on the show forever already and I really like how much he’s advocating for Rash.

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 31/03/2024 11:24

I assumed Patrick was meant to be a consultant from the hospital already which would explain why everyone knows him, and he's just been moved to the ED after Max left.

FourLeggedBuckers · 31/03/2024 12:05

I thought the bride was possibly too out of it to realise / remember what happened in the back of the ambulance, which would explain why she didn’t mention it. But she was pretty self-centred and focussed primarily on how her wedding was ruined, not on how awful her friend was generally, so maybe she just thinks sexually harassing paramedics at work is fine 🤢
it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I suspect Patrick will turn out alright, but the way he handled the Dylan-Rash supervisory dynamic basically infected Dylan with Rash’s confidence issues. So now Dylan’s miserable too.

I’d be surprised if he’s meant to have been around the hospital for a while as he suggested Dylan go to the pub.

purpleme12 · 31/03/2024 12:07

I don't think he is supposed to have to have been in a different department.
I think they've just done a new thing where they've slotted them all in

I wonder if they're going down the relapse line with Dylan.

purpleme12 · 31/03/2024 12:10

Mmm I'm not convinced

FourLeggedBuckers · 31/03/2024 12:33

It was in the series advert that was on the BBC SM recently that things aren’t going to go very smoothly between Dylan and Patrick. But it’s not clear exactly how it’ll end up, and obviously we don’t want spoilers on here 🫣
