I missed part two of these storm episode so evidently missing things.

Can someone tell me what happen to Iain - why was he beaten up? Also what's happened between Dylan and the nurse who isn't coming across as very pleasant?

Iain was walking to the car with Faith and Luca one night during the world’s longest storm when he challenged some lads who were looting or beating up a car or something, so they turned on him instead. They stopped when a police car went past but Iain was quite badly beaten by that point.

Dylan has just been Dylan but the new psychiatric nurse (who was brought in to consult on one patient and then just - never left as far as I can see) has got the hump with him for some reason that I don’t understand and has been picking on him for ages now.

Seanbeansontoast · 04/08/2024 18:25

I feel as though I missed something, did we have an episode where siobhon is made aware of Jamie’s past ?
also why does purple nurse have it in for Dylan?

No no one made Siobhan aware of Jamie's past.
Although she does know that he went to court for sexually abusing a minor (I think?) and but that he got found not guilty and she knows he got a restraining order on the one who accused him. And of course Jamie is making it like he's the one who's a wrong 'un.
So Siobhan used her Spidey senses (along with knowing Cam) and realised basically

There's a no good reason why 'purple nurse' has it in for Dylan (don't know why people call her purple nurse on here 😂) she really pisses me off even she's now supposed to be all nicey nicey

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 04/08/2024 18:33

don't know why people call her purple nurse on here 😂

Because she wears a purple uniform - we are simple folk!

purpleme12 · 04/08/2024 18:34

😂

EnglishSpringerSpanielMum · 04/08/2024 19:15

Purple nurse is a presumptuous PITA. Fancy speaking like that to the lovely Dylan!

FizzingAda · 04/08/2024 19:37

Oh God, just watched on catchup and me and DH in floods on the sofa. Been there nine times, plus a lost litter, and poor lovely Dylan, after whom my current dog is named. Don't mind seeing the patients shuffle off, I can't stand this. Brilliant William Beck 😭

longtompot · 04/08/2024 20:31

Proper sobs last night, had to get my tissue out. I can't deal with pets dying it tv shows. She was such a beautiful dog😍
Just a thought, how on earth do the owners deal with watching their pets in those scenes? I know she didn't die, but still.
Poor, poor Cam. Just awful all he has had to try and keep in for all these years. I hope the rest understand why he was being so terrible towards them.

hoarahloux · 05/08/2024 22:47

In floods!

I was terrified on sunday browsing a news site and saw a headline "Casualty airs saddest death ever" with an image of Dylan! I couldn't watch the episode immediately so had to check it wasn't him getting killed off! Poor Dervla though. I'd be broken if anything happened to my bestie cat.

XenoBitch · 06/08/2024 17:26

I have not watched Casualty for years, but remember Dylan and Dervla arriving.
Bawling seeing Dervla leave Dylan. Heart breaking.

spiderlight · 08/08/2024 10:53

I have just had a brief but lovely chat about dogs and rain and dog coats with Pal Aron, who played Adam Osman donkeys' years ago. I managed not to blurt out 'You used to be in Casualty!' though 😀His dog is lovely.

This briefly confused me greatly until I realised you'd written "who played Adam Osman donkeys' years ago" and not "who played Adam Osman's donkey years ago".

Had been very confused thinking that was an unusual role, and it was weird I don't remember there being a donkey played by a human in Casualty. 🤣

I admit I may have movements of extreme idiocy.😄

@AnImaginaryCat You're not alone, took me a while. 💡moment.

spiderlight · 08/08/2024 11:26

😂😂 😂
Guess I should have put "donkeys' years ago" in brackets!

spiderlight · 08/08/2024 11:39

(Saying that, I did once play the back end of a camel in a school production of 'Joseph').

FourLeggedBuckers · 08/08/2024 11:48

I’m now imagining Adam in a donkey head, Bottom style. Just bumbling around the ED, treating patients as normal. Patients all think they’re hallucinating.

“Wow those painkillers you gave me must’ve been really strong!”

spiderlight · 08/08/2024 11:54

😂😂

FourLeggedBuckers · 08/08/2024 12:19

Actually, I’d like to see surreal Casualty sketches as part of Comic Relief.

Dylan has become stuck in the donkey’s head. Maybe he’s taken up am dram in a post Dervla despair, or maybe he was just trying to hide from the annoying nurse.

Cam’s the arse end of the donkey. For logistical reasons, he’s just wearing a tail throughout the episode, nailed on with a ribbon at the top like Eeyore. It’s always knocking stuff over when he turns around sharply. He doesn’t know it’s there, and is baffled by his sudden apparent lack of spatial awareness.

Everyone in the department knows what’s happening and accepts it without comment, except Ngozi who has no idea why there’s a donkey headed doctor in the department. Rida and Stevie are aware of this and spend the entire shift winding Ngozi up by pretending not to see the donkey in the room.

Patients could include a bellows mender who got his finger trapped in the bellows, and a florist who has accidentally squeezed the juice from some flower into her eyes and had an allergic reaction to it.

I’m perilously close to writing disturbing Casualty fan fiction here…

spiderlight · 08/08/2024 13:13

I would pay good money to watch that!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/08/2024 23:13

Behind as usual. It was a good Episode with lotsof stories in it

Just managed to see 2weeks ago when Stevie found out. Poor her. Did feel sorry

She has no idea where as rich knew his wife worked with her

Yes seems a huge age gap. Some said few weeks ago that he was her son

Guess at 17yrs diff if was possible

Other storylines

Poor Rosie but glad she is keeping the baby

Tho why so skint after expenses didn't go in but she couldn't afford
A coffee /fruit

The drunk - who was he - why was he there as said he was 36 days sober - so did he binge /relapse - for confused

15yr girl who thought was preg but hadnt even had sex and didn't know what it was as was home schooled

And the man with 3 boys who thoight carrot juice would make it all better. Some people as mad. I get they feel scans /rays /drugs etx may hurt them but his wife would have died

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/08/2024 21:36

Finally On track for tomorow

Poor cam. But glad siobhan talked to the rapist and told him she knew and reported him

Dervla. Awwww sad

And not sure why purple nurse (uniform) hates Dylan so much

Yes he turned her down when she asked him out

Ans I thought she was going to another hospital.

Yet still there

But she was nice to Dylan once she knew why was uoset /after Dervla died

UsernameChangerRanger · 10/08/2024 13:34

I'm watching this week's now and already feeling queasy

FourLeggedBuckers · 11/08/2024 00:19

I felt quite queasy when Siobhan was fussing over her rat of a husband. I like her character generally, but that was too soppy for words.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 11/08/2024 09:06

And the cliched ‘I love you but I’m not IN love with you’ from him 🙄

I did feel that Siobhan really let Cam down at the end though - I know she’d had an awful shock but she was the one pushing Cam all episode to speak to the police, stay with her and then she just dumps him at the door.

In other news, please please please make the Jacob and Blake storyline stop.

FourLeggedBuckers · 11/08/2024 10:40

“I love you, but I spent most of last week in Stevie” would’ve been more accurate…

Yea, I get that she was upset and shocked herself, but she really let Cam down. And right now he has no one who seems to care 😞

Imagine if they’d cut all the crap about Jacob. We could’ve had some decent “how will they end up in A&E” soon-to-be-patient with chainsaw up a tree type scenes, and some more development on the interesting storylines (which are Cam and Dylan, right now).
