I felt so, so sorry for Cam last night. He's lost all his friends and he was like an abandoned puppy when Siobhan let him down.

longtompot · 11/08/2024 13:43

I guess he felt pushed to end the marriage due to what Faith said about Stevie being upset. I really hope she doesn't go back to him and neither does Siobhan and he ends up alone.

Poor Cam. It's a shame his 'friends' can't see through his unusual behaviour and think what's brought that on. I hope he doesn't do anything drastic.
I did think Jamie might turn up after Siobhan said he'd not been seen for a few days.

I was worried when Jacob brought Blake to Jan's house, they might have been followed by the drug dealer and put them all in danger.

I was very confused by the dad's behaviour with his daughter and her panic attacks. It's just the environment said in such a dismissive way.

FourLeggedBuckers · 11/08/2024 13:50

There are - I think - 5 episodes to go before the climax of this sub series.

I’m pretty sure Jamie will be back to bother / harass / assault Cam before we’re done.

I also suspect that Blake will either steal from Jan’s house, or the drug dealer will show up and put them all in danger.

But it’s Casualty. Anything could happen. The whole ED could blow up by then. Again…

xxSideshowAuntSallyxx · 11/08/2024 16:06

Poor Dylan. So well played by William Beck, going through that right now so I get the wanting to carry on as normal whilst being heartbroken for the best friend that's been by your side for years. Especially hard when you live on your own and your pets are your company.

I don't get why Rida can't see or won't speak up regarding Cam. It's like she wanted to in last night's episode but Jodie jumped in first. Cam was right about Jodie though. Think her and Teddy won't last.

UsernameChangerRanger · 11/08/2024 16:21

Jodie is getting right on my nerves and has done for a while now. Rida doesn't stand for injustices so I think she'll do right by Cam eventually (hopefully before it's too late, he's their latest mental health storyline I think). I wish they'd ditch the paramedics, make Iain a nurse or something in the hospital so we keep him, kill off Faith, do something with Tariq he could be a good character I think and I think we'll be set.

FizzingAda · 11/08/2024 18:27

I thought the purple lady's gesture to Dylan was a bit strange, buying him a dog key ring. I thought that Dervla was a lurcher, and Dylan said quite dismissively, 'oh, a greyhound'. I can't quite make her out.

Noooo we need to keep Jan too. She is comedy gold.

hoarahloux · 11/08/2024 23:02

Do they think we've forgotten what Blake looked like? The casting is so different. I spent the whole episode thinking "it's not him, Jacob's just convinced himself it is". And where is his mother? It needs a throwaway line at worst, "Elle Gardner died in a tragic industrial accident" "Elle's in Australia now".

He also has two adult brothers! Wasn't he the middle child?

Dervla was a lurcher but not everyone knows dog breeds. Did Sophia ever even meet Dervla? She's trying so hard to be nice. She doesn't know much about Dervla so got a thing that looks a bit like her in an effort to reach out. It's a clumsy gesture but she seems genuine.

hoarahloux · 11/08/2024 23:10

Where's Cam going to go? He can't go back to the house with Jodie and Rida, that was very clear, and there was a weird throwaway line about Jamie being reported missing? Has Cam done a murder?

This is the Holbyverse. Where the laws of HR don't apply and entire families are wiped from existence.

They mentioned Zoe all the time even before she came back for a couple of episodes. Maggie's had cameos. Emails from Nick Jordan have been seen. It's been done so many times that it's frankly weird no one's mentioned Elle.

It’s his (grandmother’s) house so he absolutely can go back if he chooses to. He just didn’t want to.

Cam’s not a murderer, if anyone’s done Jamie in it’s Bobby. But I think Jamie’s gone rogue and will crop up to get revenge on all of them. He did threaten Siobhan…

purpleme12 · 12/08/2024 01:40

I feel bad for Cam

Cattyisbatty · 12/08/2024 07:21

Cam could go to his parents I suppose, but then he’ll have to explain things. He was definitely left in lurch by Siobhan - not nice.
I hate all that Uber fussing she did with Rich - one of my friends is like that with her family and it sets me on edge - they’re fine, leave them be 😆

daffodilandtulip · 12/08/2024 08:32

@hoarahloux haha I thought the same - that it was a mistake on his part rather than casualty casting being shit. Sick of seeing Jacob's miserable face, and it's clear Jan is going to end up hurt.

Purple Nurse made a right balls up of that group thing. MH nurses are meant to have better people skills. Or are they trying to show us that she's more like Dylan and they'll be a perfect couple?

Our Aveline behaved very out of character with her husband. I don't think she'd be fussy and all over protective over a little scratch. And agree she wouldn't have just dumped Cam, she'd have been more professional.

It could be that she'd intuited him 'backing off' from her (emotionally), and the fussing was an act of showing she cared and trying to keep him on side?

OldSchoolCasualty · 13/08/2024 17:59

@hoarahloux I came down here to say the same thing about the new actor they've got in to play Blake. I thought Jacob had completely lost the plot so was just chasing a random kid, so of course he's running! 😂
Where is the hell is Elle?!? Blake is definitely going to rob them blind and possibly burn the house down, something dramatic! This Jacobs storyline wants finishing, he would have been pulled in for so many disciplinaries for his behaviour. How is he staying up all night to search night after night and functioning the next day? you're not Batman 😂

I think it'd be an incredible shame for the writers to go the route of a vulnerable homeless Black youth robbing them.

AnImaginaryCat · 14/08/2024 08:01

He might not rob and burn. Though we haven't had a dramatic building blowing up for a while.

Hopefully Jan will help Blake see the light and remember he has a mum and brothers (back when he was a totally different person) forcing Jacob to recall he didn't bring Blake up as a single father.

Then by the end of the episode, Blake will just leave with the baby with no apparent financial or accommodation problems. (Only to reappear now and again due to some dramatic reason, which will allow Jacob to fixate on a patient problem as if it's the worse problem anyone ever could have only because it's similar to Jacob's problem.)

I don't R.E.M. the old Blake or Elle

Aa they all started together suprised rida and jodie havent sussed our cam isn't his self

Tho can was right. If rida wasn't the WB things may have been diff with rash as wouidnt have been accused

And Jodie doesn't Really love Teddy and didn't we see her flirting with someone

did feel really sorry for cam at the end

Tho shiobhen has just had her life turned upside down by rich

Naughty grope and kiss in the cupboard

Wonkypictureframe · 16/08/2024 18:12

Rash was in a bad way regardless of the whole whistleblower thing. There’s no way what he said to Rida could be justified.

I merrily continue with my ‘where’s Elle?’. Every. Single. Week.

Elle came in to replace Zoe, she was a doctor and a good friend of Jacob. She was clinical lead for a minute or two, frenemies with Connie (a memorable episode where they got drunk together in a hotel room and essentially did fuck-marry-kill on the male staff members). She had had a one night thing with Jacob which resulted in Blake, but he didn't know until Blake was in his teens. This thread hated her iirc. I loved her though! Had three teenage boys, pouty Blake was the middle son. She sent him to a posh school where he got in with a bad crowd.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2024 20:30

Thanks @hoarahloux I don't R.E.M. any of that

UsernameChangerRanger · 17/08/2024 11:42

I've watched this week's

Cams dad was in Soldier Soldier but I can't remember his character name. Also, I really want to binge that so does anyone know where I can stream it? Cam is showing he's a good actor now.

We are going to see more of Chucky's bad acting as the Blake storyline develops

The Siobhan, Stevie and Rich storyline is going to drag out I'm sure of it.
