Ah, thank you.

So the posters above were right: she is significantly older, by 17 years.

Interesting casting. I wonder where that bit of plot is going, and also if he deliberately chose Stevie because she works with his wife. If they met at the scene of an accident he at least knew it was a strong possibility.

Perhaps they are meant to be an age gap marriage and that will be his reason for wanting to end it? He doesn't particularly look young for his age and probably could easily play early to mid 50s without raising many eyebrows. But she doesn't look young for her age either so the gap does show.

Not sure I can watch tonight. One of my cats died on Wednesday so seeing Dylan and Dervla at the vet's within the first couple of minutes and having to sign that form is really hard.

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 03/08/2024 21:02

I missed the first 10 mins but watched the episode thinking I prob didn't miss much.

@xxSideshowAuntSallyxx

I wouldn't watch it if I were you.

I am sure we can all fill you in Cam and re Stevie's affair and re what's her name nurse and her latest idea

daffodilandtulip · 03/08/2024 21:21

Bloody hell casualty! I watch to see people die, not dogs. Don't think I've ever cried at casualty before! But also at the Purple Nurse being nice to him 🥺

Faith can go be a doctor as long as she goes far, far away to complete her training! Imagine how many dramas she will have. Is she with Ian properly or does he just help with the kids?

Brilliant acting for Cam.

@xxSideshowAuntSallyxx so sorry about your cat xx

My DD and I cried when Dervla was pts. Heartbreaking.

Funny, was just saying to DD, I was more upset about Dervla than most of the patients!!

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 03/08/2024 21:24

Who thinks Faith will actually make it as a Doctor ?

Thisisme1234x · 03/08/2024 21:27

William Beck is just brilliant isn’t he.

I very rarely cry at TV show’s but I sobbed. I still remember her first appearance with Dylan all those years ago. Honestly so heartbreaking, RIP Dervla 💔

I live in dread of him leaving! He's fabulous!

UsernameChangerRanger · 03/08/2024 22:02

I didn't like Cam until this episode. Dylan and Rash are still my favourites though.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 03/08/2024 22:07

Properly sobbed at Dervla and Dylan - William Beck providing yet another masterclass in acting which a couple of the others would benefit from attending <gives Charles Venn a hard stare>

Cattyisbatty · 03/08/2024 22:11

Too sad re Dervla 😢
The acting by William Back snd Barney Walsh was amazing.

UsernameChangerRanger · 03/08/2024 22:11

William Beck is brilliant. Tears here too. Dervla RIP

Lookingatthesunset · 03/08/2024 22:21

I think Barney has showed he can act!

UsernameChangerRanger · 03/08/2024 22:23

Tonight's episode makes me wonder if the issue is the script writers - when they give them good material they act their socks off (apart from old Chucky)

Lookingatthesunset · 03/08/2024 22:24

Oh leave Chucky be - I'm happy just looking at him!!

Hellocatshome · 03/08/2024 22:50

I thought they were barely happy with ex pill addicted Faith being a nurse again are they actually going to let her be a Doctor who can write prescriptions?

UsernameChangerRanger · 03/08/2024 23:15

She's a nurse who can write prescriptions already. I very well paid nurse. Why would she want to cut her salary in half (at least) to retrain? Am I too invested in this?

FourLeggedBuckers · 04/08/2024 00:04

I’m all for Faith re-training if it gets her out of the department and off my tv screen. But bloody hell I wouldn’t like to fall into Casualty-land and be treated by her in any capacity.

Dervla was heartbreaking. But Dylan was so kind with Cam, even when he was being disruptive. And the last scene was extremely well done.

purpleme12 · 04/08/2024 00:12

I'm 12 minutes in and Sophia is really pissing me off again

She has her moment, stick with it.

spiderlight · 04/08/2024 00:48

Dervla 😭😭😭😭😭 I nearly couldn't watch, as I've been there all too many times and am still in bits over having to say goodbye to my beloved boy last September, but I'm glad I stuck with it for Dylan. He's the most extraordinary character. I was more upset about Dervla than Cam, but again, I'm glad that's come out. Trouble ahead for Jodie and Teddy though.

purpleme12 · 04/08/2024 00:54

I've watched to the end
Are we supposed to like Sophia now? Because I haven't forgiven her for being being all high and mighty and thinking she's better than everyone else, but more specifically Dylan

AnImaginaryCat · 04/08/2024 07:34

I missed part two of these storm episode so evidently missing things.

Can someone tell me what happen to Iain - why was he beaten up? Also what's happened between Dylan and the nurse who isn't coming across as very pleasant?
