Oh my god I've just realised Siobhan was Cathy in Corrie!

I was looking through a Casualty cast to remind myself of the name of an actor and spotted this. 👀

What?

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 24/07/2024 18:56

hoarahloux · 24/07/2024 18:51

What?

Look at who plays Jacob.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/07/2024 20:13

The name

bizzey · 24/07/2024 21:46

To help with the confusion !🤣🤣

Charles Venn has used the stage name Chucky Venice (and Chucky Venn). I don't think he does anymore but it's a bit unclear, which makes for haphazard credits online, confusing more than just @Girlontherailreplacementbusservice!

Pretty sure he's Charles Venn in the Casualty credits.

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 25/07/2024 08:09

Yes he is Charles Venn in the credits. I wasn't aware that he'd officially used 'Chucky' (who would?) so assumed someone was having a checky giggle at his expense.

purpleme12 · 25/07/2024 08:17

If you look up Charles Venn it does say

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/07/2024 11:58

Wonder why he chose that name

Hmmmm... The next episode will be at 8:10pm on Saturday on BBC2.

Radio Times gives away a plot feature which has been discussed here on its Saturday preview page as if it had already been revealed, although the blurb on the listings for the day seems to imply the viewers don’t know about it.

LIZS · 27/07/2024 22:01

Is Luca the same actor, he doesn't seem any older.

spiderlight · 27/07/2024 22:13

No idea, sorry. He didn't look well tonight though. I wonder if they're going to do a cancer recurrence storyline.

Tom Mulheron has played Luca in 12 episodes since 2020.

hoarahloux · 27/07/2024 23:57

Felt for Stevie a bit. It's not often we see her so vulnerable.

Iain's getting more and more aggressive. Why is poor Luca wetting himself at being startled, is that only from a couple of weeks ago when he was with Faith and Iain and they were verbally harassed by drunk guys? Or is there more to it?

That's all there is to it

They weren't just verbally abused - Iain had seven shades of shite kicked out of him.

purpleme12 · 28/07/2024 00:25

Yes that's true.
But Ian held himself back from fighting back because Faith wanted him to.

Oh my god I've just realised Siobhan was Cathy in Corrie!

And was once married to Sean Bean

Decafflatteplease · 28/07/2024 22:51

I just keep seeing Siobhan as the matronly motherly teacher in Waterloo road when it moved to Scotland, she was a sort of house mistress of the boarding school, did anyone else watch it?

So Siobhan's husband knew Stevie works with Siobhan? I was sorting of hoping he didn't realise. Poor Stevie always seems to get the wrong uns

Nicole and the baby.... surely legally she has to do what her friend wants? I'm not au fait with the rules around surrogacy. Do we know whose egg it is aka whose biological baby it is? The whole thing is confusing? Would Nicole even be entitled to any maternity pay as she been there only a short time wasn't she already pregnant when she started the job? Also off.topic but nicole needs a good fringe trim it annoys me every episode 😂

I still think of Melanie Hill as Aveline in 'Bread'!

Of course Rich knew! He knows where his wife works. Poor Stevie!

I doubt it matters the biological origins of the baby as Nicole is carrying it and going to give birth to it. I'm interested to know what Rosie has on her that led her to be a surrogate for her.

purpleme12 · 28/07/2024 23:04

No she doesn't have to do what her friend wants legally. They can put in the 'contract' that Rosie wants her to have an abortion in certain circumstances but when it comes down to it, if Nicole doesn't want to do that for whatever reason, or doesn't feel comfortable, then Nicole doesn't have to. Because it's her body.
Also when baby's born Nicole would still be the mum in the eyes of the law (so the person who gave birth to the baby)
It transfers over to the intended parent when they get a parental order via court. Which still needs the surrogate's consent. So theoretically the woman who's giving birth to the baby could change their mind and keep the baby

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 30/07/2024 01:26

I go more recently to Dishwater Sal from Stardust for Melanie Hill. She looks way older than 'hunky' husband. I suppose it doesn't matter but her skin makes her look 60s whereas he looks 40s-50s.

purpleme12 · 30/07/2024 01:32

Oh yeah!

It's been a long time since I watched Stardust though!

WelcomeMarchwithwintrywind · 01/08/2024 14:02

Melanie Hill is 62. I can’t find out online how old Rich Walker (who plays her husband) is but I agree he looks significantly younger.

Rich Walker is the characters name. The actor is Michael Keogh. He was born 2 June 1979 so he's 45
