We watched a classic one the other day. George the SHO gets an offer for whatever the other hospital was called at that point and is mulling it over. Gets taken hostage on her way home from one shift, episode happens, released etc and says goodbye to everyone on the spot, next episode is literally later that day, new SHO summoned on to the rota, and on we sail.

I am so tired of Jacob’s dramas and his selfish tantrums.

Interesting seeing him in an episode where the other main storyline focused around Cam and realising how much better an actor Barney Walsh is than Charles Venn!

I was really hoping for more comedy in the Dervla situation, rather than poor Ngozi upsetting Dylan like that.

I’m surprised at how good a job Barney’s doing in this storyline. Which is nice. Usually on Casualty it’s shocking how bad the acting is - this is a novelty!

Probably a stupid question but to anybody who's a real life Doctor or Nurse...

Surely... Siobhan as a Nurse wouldn't be able to become an A&E Clinical Lead in the real life NHS instead of Holbyverse?

Google suggests they can but they're not paid as much as a Dr being a clinical lead. Which makes me wonder why nurses aren't running the NHS if they're significantly cheaper than dr's doing the same job? And NHS staff able to answer this strange quirk of Holby?

This is Holby - if it suited their storyline, they'd bring back Bic Mac the porter as clinical lead!

From having a quick look at Google, searching "clinical lead Nurse"

I think it's nothing like the Clinical Lead role that a Doctor does, much like a Nurse Consultant doesn't have the role of an actual Consultant and from looking at a few vacancies, it's just a rebranding of the title of Head District Nurse or Nurse Team Leader or something like that.

it’s been bothering me as well and the name is on the tip of my tongue but it seems that’s where it will stay. I can even see her in a previous role when thinking of her and for some reason Geraldine seems about right.

DH honestly said it looked like they'd hit him with CS gas. He was in the RAF and had practice things with it and said it looked very similar.

Maybe that's how you get a not-great-actor to cry on cue.
