Or did I miss that they were in a different pub? It looked darker in decor and lighting that usual haunt and the bar / door layout was wrong.

bizzey · 16/07/2024 01:27

Are we still going with Jamie is her son ?

Thank you PP for my answer about the dating app thing .

Yeh ...hook up seems more likely .

Rida ....I loved you at the beginning.....stop being so cocky now ...and stop changing personality every episode !

Vulnerable/cocky/ vulnerable/mouthy .....

purpleme12 · 16/07/2024 01:28

Maybe she's a mixture of them all 😂

FourLeggedBuckers · 16/07/2024 12:37

hoarahloux · 15/07/2024 23:26

She doesn't want to commit to Teddy while he thinks he's going to marry her. They're both about 21 so both sides are valid. He's just far more committed than she is.

I think Jamie probably assaulted Cam at some point unfortunately. It's fairly predictable at this point. If it's not happening now, it did at the time when he was running the youth centre when Bobby was raped. I wonder if Jamie is taking advantage of Cam while Cam is staying with him. Or if he also assaulted Cam who stayed quiet rather than taking it further and not being believed, like Bobby. They're similar in age. IDK, it's not going to be a "man is proven innocent" story is it at this point.

Jamie is a wrong 'un and Cam will expose him in some way, probably leading to Siobhan leaving the clinical lead role as they're buddy-buddy.

In the recap, they included Jamie saying something like “you’ll earn your keep if you’re staying with me” and Cam’s reaction is… disturbing in the context of the recent episode, so I wouldn’t rule it out.

I think Cam’s probably been groomed by Jamie - all the positive attention and reassurance - he’s been conditioned into a sort of dependence. I think what he says about Jamie being a good guy is probably a story he tells himself to avoid facing the reality of what he’s been through.

I don’t think Siobhan is Jamie’s buddy though - she was very deliberately questioning Cam about him and trying to give Cam an alternative - offering to have him stay with her instead, at the end of the episode. I think she suspects Jamie isn’t innocent. But as she said she had vouched for him to the board, she may lose her position as clinical lead regardless.

Whine as always but lesst seen last weeks before tomorows

Tricky about cam. If Jamie did rape him why did he happily go and stay at his

Josie def fed up with playing mummy

Jacob needs to sort out childcare he can't just leave baby with whoever

Plus baby is a bit of a winger

Stevie was rather forward laying her cards on the table

I hope he is siobhan hubby but seems a bit suss

Tho would uou really play about so close to home and work wife's staff

Nicole will keep the baby tho I don't know the law of surrogate in U.K.

As it's not her embryo Does she get a say

Tho surely no woman can be made to have an abortion

Or as her womb she does have Rights and a say

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 19/07/2024 23:46

He didn’t go ‘happily’ though - he had nowhere else to go because Rida and Jodie had sorted themselves out separately. And I would imagine that when he sees Jamie, he’s catapulted right back to a much younger Cam who’s desperate to please Jamie and probably desperately confused about what’s happening to him. I don’t think we’re should underestimate how much power abusers can have over their victims long after the fact, and how difficult it must be for Cam to see him again - especially if he hasn’t admitted to himself yet precisely what (we assume) Jamie did to him 🤷🏻‍♀️

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 00:15

Exactly
Add into that that his parents didn't sound very supportive
And Jamie behaving really positively to Cam in other ways. And in front of other people
It's messed up

TheFoz · 20/07/2024 00:30

They have two potential major storylines here; the Jamie situation and Nicole and the surrogacy/abortion situation. I hope they handle them well.

spiderlight · 20/07/2024 21:59

They had better find a cure for Dervla or I shall be very upset indeed 😭

benjoin · 20/07/2024 22:31

How can you not accept someone's resignation? He gave notice as well. No one gives notice.

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 22:48

I'm just catching up and the first thing that comes on is the recap with Dylan talking about Dervla being on her own ❤️❤️

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 22:49

Well, you don't know Dervla 😂❤️❤️

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 23:20

I'm really pissed off by Sophia

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 23:29

Jacob shouldn't be taking phone calls on shouts, clearly

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 23:49

I didn't think it would be him

purpleme12 · 20/07/2024 23:52

Oh my god

AnnieMcFanny · 21/07/2024 00:11

@purpleme12 hi there. Does Siobhan making that call mean she’s putting Jamie under scrutiny?

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 21/07/2024 01:22

benjoin · 20/07/2024 22:31

That's where he went wrong - to leave you have to just announce at the end of a shift that you won't be back. Bonus points (and spontaneous drinks at the pub that everyone is able to attend at zero notice) if you mention having 'some leave due'. You can't go about handing in notice - it's not how the system works.

daffodilandtulip · 21/07/2024 08:32

Obviously it's just been done here for dramatic effect, but I had my resignation refused once when I got a new job (NHS nurse) because they couldn't fill my position.

Wonkypictureframe · 21/07/2024 08:43

I think if you as a boss suspect a resignation is coming from the ‘wrong’ place you definitely can suggest that that person consider it hard, and offer them support/OH referral etc. I’m not sure just sending them off for a fortnight is enough though. I realise we’re deep in this storyline but I’d happily say goodbye to Cam myself.

I was also disappointed but not surprised that Blake continues to live - thankfully offscreen at this point. The only bright spot of having to watch Jacob overact across the place is that I can continue in my satisfying hobby of shouting ‘where is Elle?’ at the TV.

UsernameChangerRanger · 21/07/2024 08:49

How Jacob still has a job is one of life's mysteries along with the disappearance of Lord Lucan and Shergar..

Wonkypictureframe · 21/07/2024 08:51

A job on screen or a job acting? (Both mystify me.)

benjoin · 21/07/2024 09:08

Is that legal???

daffodilandtulip · 21/07/2024 09:13

@benjoin ah, the NHS is a law unto itself; much like Holby.

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 21/07/2024 09:31

My DH once tried to hand in his notice in a non public sector organisation. His then boss refused to take it and drew up an action plan saying to give it six months and if he still wanted to leave he would help him find a new job.
DH stayed for about another 18 months in the end - but the boss left!
