It does look as if the only way out of the Six is for Linda to confess. But Linda still has plenty potential with her family around and if Kellie wants to leave I can't imagine her exit storyline being jail, it is just far too bleak for just a well liked character.

Whereas jail is definitely is not too bleak an end for Ben, who has spent his life breaking the law and being a general PITA. Those last scenes with Callum were excruciating. It was clearly signposting that they expect Ben welcomed back in a year or two with a new head.

I agree re Nugget - the voice common sense, who'd have thought it!

Linda is a bit extraneous in terms of Elaine and the Knight’s, but maybe Elaine will get a story of her own soon and Linda will support her. I’d like to see Johnny developed and more of their relationship, but in any case I’m predicting an exit for Linda, by the autumn.

I always liked Linda , until the writers messed her up and Mick ended up with Janine :(
I suppose ( to be fair ) she did murder Ken and maybe self defense wouldn't be a goer because it wasn't her he was strangling at the time ?
Although I've no idea of how the law works around self defense / manslaughter etc.
The lies they have told everyone is also confusing me , who knows what.

I don't think Linda will be imprisoned. I think Johnny will get her out of it. Possibly by blaming one of the others.

I have a hunch that Johnny found the meat thermometer that time he told Linda to fetch it and she found it had gone.
He has it stashed away ready to produce in order to frame someone ?
(Only going by a few hints in next weeks tv guide ! , im probably wrong)

Ben has always been a little git but when he was whingeing through the celldoor about he'd never thought he could be happy after Paul died ...
Callum does not need to hear about how much you loved and miss your murdered ex.
If Callum started whingeing on about Him'n'Whitney and how he could've been married with a couple of children if he;d gone down a parallel universe....I don't think Ben would;ve taken that too well.

Callum and Johnny will be together in 3,2,1…

I assume Johnny was brought back specifically for Linda in the Six plot so will have a big role to play in it.

But as Ben is has gone, Callum and Johnny would make sense as a pairing. Johnny is not very likeable but I suppose he's dealing with a lot of shit not of his making. I'd like him to be instrumental in Dean's downfall too, but I suppose he'll have a lot on his plate what with the floor collapsing and the meat thermometer turning up

Is there any chance they blame Dean for the murder. There was a bit of agro in one scene between Keanu and him if I recall? Would be a v short contract for Matt Di Angelo, but was always wondering why they brought him back. He surely isn't going to last more than a year is he? So either Christmas exit or tying this story up. It would be justice for him to go down for a crime Linda committed.

Yes, because wasn't Dean hiding upstairs at one point. I always thought there must have been a reason for that and it would become apparent later on.

I thought that last scene in today’s episode was fabulous - a really effective use of visual effects.

Oohh I usually watch the weeks worth of catch up on a Thursday with DD ...I am very tempted to see if I can find Mondays now !

YY to Johnny framing Dean . He (Dean) was in the Vic , there was all the trailers with Linda scrubbing blood off the floor and when we were all guessing/hoping who the Christmas Corpse would be .

He can coach Linda - I'm sure he can wrangle a self defence - who's to say Ken didn't release his stranglehold and turn on Linda . Providing she can remember which hand she holds the meatfork in and which direction she stabbed him in.

@Soukmyfalafel I love that idea, it's brilliant.

It would make sense of why Dean came back, and why his evilness has been ramped up to such an extent - so that he will be seen to thoroughly deserve punishment.

If it doesn't turn out that way I will be disappointed!

If Johnny Sausage can get Dean arrested for murder then we can like him, ( because so far , Sausage is proving to be Not Very Likeable )

Ben was meant to sort out Dean , but he's left the building now .....

But as this is Eastenders , Ben could encounter Dean in prison while he waits to be extradited . There can be that DuffDuf moment when the cell door opens .
" Mitchell , you;ve got a new cellmate"

"Oh , do you two know each other?"
