When Denzil and Nugget were hiding the pack of beer it was thrown from one to the other , I really , really wanted Nugget to be the one to open a can and wear the Ibiza Style Foam Party beer froth .

Oh is that why they wanted Auntie Yo out - just beer?
They should have gone to drink it on the Swings of Doom.

Oh .Denzil is saying Aunty Yo .because yolande, not some sort of Teenspeak that I thought 😮😂

Might have thought "Yo" was some teen greeting !

Or the allotments I remember when every secret shared and every affair in The Square ended up at some point in Arthur’s shed.

Where is Denzil’s mum? Presumably Howie he told her he was going away so you’d think she’d want to check up on her son who has been left in the care of a woman she’s never met before. Mind you, parenting on EE is like an optional past time at the best of times so maybe she’s not bothered.

Denzil calls Yolanda Aunty because in the West Indian community all children call older friends of their parents Aunty/Uncle xyz. It would be considered disrespectful for him to call her by her first name. I’m in my 40s and still call my mums best friend Aunty!

I can't recall if Denzil's mum has been in the show at all ? If she has, I can't remember her.

She did put in a brief appearance a while back but she was going away , somewhere that obviously didn't suit her to take her teenage son.

Though when Denzil did rock up he set up his gaming chair and hogged the TV much to Kyms disgust .
He;s mellowed now (as they often do on EE , start off nasty and become quite nice . Or total reverse start lovely become villans )

EEWiki tells me the Mum Delilah was in for 2 episodes then went back to Ibiza .

Dean and Keanu had a few public arguments that nearly came to blows on the market so I suspect people will come forward to remember and that might be used as a motive. Maybe he will be convicted on circumstantial evidence rather than any concrete proof.

There was a scene in the Vic where Dean said something like "Oh its so nice to see a chap taking his Mum out for a drink" when Ken was with Sharon .

Then Sharon had to strong arm him so he didn't run after Dean to sort him out .

But I;m sure there will be many people coming forward to say "Oh yes there was that time when......."

And it was Keanu who told Jade that Dean was a rapist.

That's interesting, I didn't remember that. It has been quite cleverly done in that when Dean first arrived there was generalised hostility but it's too long ago to remember who said what. Also I loathed the Dean return so much that I often zoned out of his scenes.

I do want Dean to get his comeuppance so hope he does go down for it, Jade disappears (or Shabnam returns) and Linda gets sober!

Was gutted his Ben has been written out - was that his exit storyline all along or a clever writer remembering his US trip when Lola was ill?

I think the Ben exit was a quick and easy route out with no need for any build up - they didn't have the capacity to add in a lengthy exit scenario as the storylines are written so far in advance. I read on another forum that the steroid abuse storyline was originally intended for Ben (I don't know if it's true but it is the type of storyline that would fit Ben) and was switched to Denzil after Ben was 'let go'.

Has Whitney left ? That's been left hanging and maybe she'll be off soon.

I wonder if we’ll see Dean’s trial or will he be sentenced off screen. I suspect the latter because even a junior lawyer would be able to take apart the case against him in court!

Speaking of trials, Ben was processed, sent to trial and sentenced in about 2 days. The wheels of American justice sure turn fast.

I doubt we will shall see Dean's trial somehow

Not only has she lost her dad , her holiday isn't happening now and she is recovering from surgery and had her meds messed about with and all sorts :(
She needs a happier ending

Wasn’t it rumoured that Shabnam and Zainab are coming back? I thought I read on one of the Spoiler threads that someone saw a pic of them on Social Media on the EE set? Stacey was mentioning Shabnam a lot last week.

Nina Wadia was rumoured to be going back her picture (not on set) has been on a couple of sm groups, I mean it might be fan hopeful rumours, somebody would need to come and collect Jade .

I agree we're unlikely to see the trial because the writers know how flimsy the case against Dean is. In real life, a defence barrister would make mincemeat of Linda on the stand, but we won't see it - it's enough we've got that symmetry that Glorious referred to a few days ago.

It'll be interesting to see what happens about the trial, for all the reasons said it seems likely it'll happen offscreen. It wouldn't take place for about a year so they can safely forget about it till then.

Would Dean be able to have bail ( in real life?) or just held in custody until the trial ? I'm not sure he has the money for bail or if that would be applicable?
They said about Janine after nearly a year off screen , then the baby was mentioned and then that was forgotten.

I don't think he would be bailed back to his address and his flat is all packed up so he will be seen as a flight risk.

He has a one way ticket to the USA for him and Jade and has rented a flat .
So deffo a bail-flight risk.

Either someone will produce some video footage (like the Frankie photo of Janine furtively putting rubbish in a bin) of Dean acting weird in the street or there will be undisputable proof that The 6 did the moving of the body .

I think Eastenders would lose a lot of credibility ( yes I know , that;s an oxymoron) if Dean was convicted of Ken's murder on the evidence of Linda saying she saw him, and the meatfork suddenly being found in his kitchen.

But when have the let The Truth get in the way

More likely he'll just go, let Jade go to her Mum and he'll leave for New York . He could leave Jade with any number of people on the Square while she waits for Shabnam .
Then we can still hate him for being a selfish spineless git .
