And surely he'd say "Oh we'll need to check CCTV / Ring Doorbells/ DashCam footage " because in a very small patch of London there's a very high crime rate . Surely someone on the Square (Ian/Jack/Phil/Nish./Suki / Greys house /any of the shops or businesses ) would have security cameras.

When Stacey planted the weapon I can’t understand how Dean didn’t notice a meat thermometer had suddenly appeared out of nowhere on the table he was packing away all the other utensils. It’s not exactly a small item and it’s fairly unusual so surely you’d think “hang on, I’ve never seen this before in my kitchen and it wasn’t here a few minutes ago”

The SWAT team and Walford’s finest descending on the square to arrest him so soon after Linda’s statement was ridiculous!

Poor Ben. Kathy was sad about his sentence for 5 minutes and then shrugged and said never mind, time to focus on the positives. Jay and Billy clearly couldn’t care less. Phil has already moved on and replaced him with Raymond😂

Yeh no one cares about Ben, they all moved on very quickly, nothing to see here!

Linda explained why she had not previously mentioned what she saw, I thought that was well written. We already know there is no CCTV within range of the Vic/caff for some weird but extremely convenient reason.

Oh yes - Phil was very "Well one of my children is banged up in the States , one won't speak to me and hung up the phone , one is living with his Mums half brother ......so I might as well have Raymond "

Poor Raymond will now be the focus of Phil’s attempts to keep the Mitchell dynasty going. He doesn’t seem that bothered about bonding with Albie.

The lack of CCTV makes no sense in a small square with so many night time venues (Peggy’s, The Vic, whatever the cocktail bar Felix works is called).

I noticed Harvey said to Dean “if your mother could see you now..” so hopefully Shirley is coming back as absent characters are never mentioned unless they are returning.

They must have chosen such an odd item for a reason, it's probably quite hard to clean effectively so there will still be traces of Keanu's blood there, so that will be 'proof'

Elaine found it under Linda’s bed and used it to cook. Any blood will be lamb’s blood but surely it’s been through the dishwasher which would have sterilised it?

Not sure why Deane was boxing up all the utensils? Was he planning on bringing them to New York? Putting them into storage?

Do you think someone will mention the meat thermometer and the police will wonder how they knew? Or say it to Shirley when she returns? And she will
force it out of a drunk Linda?

Although I think they want to wrap it up now too. I suppose Linda is the weak link and liable to blab whenever she’s drunk so it can never really go away?

What the heck was Harvey thinking when he took Jade’s meds? One thing is checking them but he stole them?

Where was Callum? Was he at court with Ben? Why weren’t they all waiting for updates from Callum then?

The George/Gloria/Eddie thing was wrapped up too. Now on to George’s eldest son I suppose who will be a bad ‘un no doubt? Replace Dean as the Square’ villain?

Thursdays episode was very good , but mostly it's a bit disjointed with the storylines lately I think.
Maybe Ben having to be written out has made it a bit tricky , then there's Whitney and Britney who have disappeared this week and now a secret between Jay and Billy and of course Linda and Dean ( which still has many plot holes, but hopefully wrapped up now)
What became of George and his family going abroad on holiday ? Is that still happening?
The writers tend to leave things hanging ( such as Alfie brought in for a bit , then he has disappeared again )
Too many bit characters around too
I still watch it, but it's going through a weird faze

@Icehockeyflowers Callum isn't with Ben, Ben was deported to America a few days previously. I think they wanted that plot disposed of asap.

As to the rest, I guess it will go whatever way the writers want it to go - if they need Keanu's DNA on the meat thermometer, it'll be there! They can distinguish between human and lamb blood.

I don't think we'll have any more drunk Linda for a while, now both stresses are dealt with she'll be sober Linda.

Fingers crossed it's sober Linda from now on.
I can't deal with her stealing the profits and it's always white wine from a box that hasn't been properly chilled ( although the basement ones she uses might be cold enough to be fair !)
Plus she gets aggressive and I feel sorry for her little ones seeing her all over the place.
Maybe Johnny will go back to Manchester too ( I hope ) although I did see a photo of him and Callum together on Facebook.
Maybe Cal won't wait six years or Ben will divorce him

Johnny was working in Manchester as a human rights lawyer, but clearly he could take lots of time off to visit his mum and sort her out after Elaine phoned him up.

For sure. Although according to Google

EE will defy the odds though.

If Callum didnt go to the US, where was he last night? He hardly went to work instead? Although as Billy, Honey, Jay, Kathy and Phil were all ‘busy’, maybe he was with Lexi who the rest of the family conveniently forgot about?

Bit random. Do all the EE women drink gin and tonic? Noticed they all had the same glass last night?

Who was meeting Denzel? Is he meeting girls and pretending it’s the annoying friend? The poor girls will get a huge shock when they are set up with that really awful annoying kid.

So all Linda had to do was put the meat thermometer in the dishwasher and then dispose of it at Christmas !

I don't know what Denzil and Nugget were doing that required Auntie Yo out of the house. I thought i was paying attention but Denzil does make me zone out!

That is a good thought, Ben divorcing Callum to ‘free him’, they’ve done that in a soap before - Emmerdale I think.

Linda used to drink vodka originally didn't she? Then it morphed into white wine. Vodka would do the job quicker! I was just thinking about Johnny, no point in him hanging around now - unless of course he is destined for Callum.

I think they or maybe nugget had invited some girls round, it also looked like Denzil was chatting to a girl about his physique maybe one of his "followers" on snap chat or somewhere.

Yes it was vodka Linda used to drink she hid bottles in the bathroom. Maybe she thought wine wasn't as bad as spirits when she started drinking again

No they are just being teenagers and flirting cos they think they are magnets for the girls.

The person Denzil was chatting to was asking him for pictures but no idea if it is a girl or someone his age. He looked quite stressed about it all. Hope this isn’t another grooming storyline.

Oh maybe @Eastie77Returns although I think it's a steroid male body image story isn't it? We don't know if it is a girl or not.

Ah but Philth has not only given up alcohol , he also got himself weaned off drugs and learned to be clean shaven
