I'm a bit bored of Gloria now , but apparently she has a heart attack this week , so we haven't seen the back of her just yet.
The way Jade says ' New York ' makes me laugh , even if it's a sad story line all round :(

Sharon behind bars was a bit distressing . Johnny's pouting is also strange ! He has odd lips.
I thought he was a human rights lawyer not a criminal one , but then I know nothing about the law and at least it wasn't Ritchie.

I know older women like Gloria I mean not in a husband killed your sons real father way 😃 but totally submissive to their husbands is really sad to see them with no life in them, I know what she did was terrible but George was a light in her miserable life !

I know a woman like this, married to a man worse than George but not a murderer, would beat his son black and blue and her kids wanted her to leave him but she never would, she married him at 16. Then when he died she had a few years of happiness and moved back in with her daughter, where she sadly developed cancer (over covid) but had good healthcare, did one or two holidays with her daughter and then sadly died. My DM's best friend at secondary school. My DM liked her because she 'didn't talk bad' about other people.

@Mrsjayy it's a generational thing, they stay with their husband's because they can't face getting divorced.

When Dean was talking to Jade about how they'd get away from there (but sort of being nice and normal and dad like with her) I actually thought, he's not bad, is he? As a character I mean.

Denise was very drunk when they had that one night together and I doubt she'll go there again

I agree Johnny has very odd pouty lips, it makes it hard to take him seriously. Richie would have had Sharon out of there already😎

I don’t remember George’s son being mentioned, I can’t have been paying attention. I can just about understand why Gloria stayed with Eddie unquestioningly, but she is quite manipulative herself.

I didn’t rate Matt Di Angelo in the past but I think this time round he has done a good impression of a closed-off sociopath - the way he sees all other people as pawns and collateral damage without the right to their own feelings.

Incredible that Phil posed Denise moving in as ‘being able to get to know Raymond’ - you live about 20 yards away mate, why haven’t you got to know him already if you are so keen on ‘being a dad’.

Part of me thinks Phil only offered to home Denise and Raymond to get one over on Kat because she moved her boys out.
I'd have stayed with Jack I think , especially as he is aware of her involvement with the six. Keep your friends close...

I've just watched Clocking Off on iPlayer and Denise (DP) has a pixie crop haircut. A skinny Sarah Lancashire is in it too. Missed it first time round.

Yes I agree, "turns out someone does want to live in my castle". Phil is not good at being alone, he needs a live-in fan club. Not sure Denise is going to fulfil that part but...

Read today that the girl (Nadine) Jay was with for five minutes last autumn is pregnant and it's his! I hope he asks for a paternity test of some kind as she was working as an escort.
Not sure what Jay does for a living now ?

Also next week, Yolande is sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton.

Normal sexual encounters are almost unheard of on EE - it always has to be an assault, a drunken mistake, underage, or an infidelity on one or both parts.

I did think the Pastor seems to have a lot of money if it’s a CofE church unless it’s funded by donations so have a wife who seems not to work and who’s dressed very fashionably! And generously donating £50
to Jade’s charity cause.

He did try with the odd contact and taking him out and whether that happens now I don’t know but Phil definitely tried to be a dad to him.

Be sad if Jay leaves, but his been in it for years since he was 9 I think and maybe had enough ?

Johnny I think will do everything in his power to get his mum (Linda) off or at least escape jail which of course he would do but at the expense of which of the others?

I mean on one hand I feel for Linda as she’s been through a lot, but her stumbling around the pub half cut she’s a liability to her kids and herself and she needs AA/rehab.
