Welcome to the EE spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

She also called him 'Deano' which I thought was a nice nod to the old days (2007?) when Dean didn't have an evil side.

Did Chelsea and Dean ever go out ? ..
I don't remember him attacking Roxy that time , but it was years ago

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/04/2024 20:27

I guess it will be the usual Walford scenario with the police arresting everyone on rotation - whose turn is it this week

It's going to be like "An Inspector Calls" , they're all guilty in a way and implicated .......by February , they'll arrest Bobby !.

Eastie77Returns · 03/04/2024 22:07

Chelsea and Dean were step brother and sister and one point. I don’t think they ever went out. Dean’s dad was one of Denise’s many husbands.

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2024 22:11

I often forget that Dean / Shirley Carter / Denise and one of the dads played by Phil Daniels are kind of related ! I've always been a bit vague on it all though

Soukmyfalafel · 03/04/2024 23:05

Is Shirley going to come back? I miss her vodka fueled spiky retorts.

Eastie77Returns · 04/04/2024 00:18

Latest episodes made me laugh at how improbable this SL is now.

Surely Alfie would have just bought Bernie a bag of chips rather than letting her try to fry a batch in the cafe whilst drunk?! And makes no sense that she went in there to cook food when she knows there is an awful stench that drove her out of the place earlier that day.

I noticed Jack didn’t lock the cafe door when Stacey and Denise left..but Bernie then found it locked and had to open it with a key. I’ve also never noticed that back door he escaped through.

Lol at Stacey standing there awkwardly listening to him telling Dee how much he loves her.

GloriousintheArctic · 04/04/2024 08:20

I enjoyed last night’s episode, I thought it pulled together well - mas well as it could anyway! That concrete looked quite thick so not sure why it suddenly failed. And the door which was locked or unlocked as it suited - it looked like a self locking Yale lock which is why Bernie had to use her key, yet Jack was able to just walk in. Let's leave aside Jack rummaging amongst a dead body for a necklace.

It does look as if they are setting Dean up (fingers crossed). They keep juxtaposing his scenes with the Six scenes. And the timing of his behaviour yesterday will look very suspicious - agreeing to move to Pakistan, stealing the money, asking Ian to buy him out of the business. It is just the type of justice which soaps like - can’t pin his real crimes on him, so he gets jailed for one he didn’t do.

Southeastdweller · 04/04/2024 08:26

There’s no evidence they can pin on him, also he wouldn’t have access to get into the caff. But yes I think it’s going to happen anyway - it feels like his days in the square are coming to an end.

In TV crime scene films it's usually a plague of bluebottles and maggots that indicates the presence of a body. Also, would Denise just take the necklace with bare hands knowing where it's been?

GloriousintheArctic · 04/04/2024 08:53

@Southeastdweller

Cathy still has the meat thermometer, she hasn't got rid of it yet has she? So that's a piece of evidence to plant. Dean was lurking around in the Vic that day so could have got his hands on it. Although I don't think anyone actually knows he was lurking apart from the viewers. It's hard to remember that long ago.

Bunionbabe · 04/04/2024 08:58

That meat thermometer has been inside a lamb joint and washed so is it still evidence?

the80sweregreat · 04/04/2024 09:02

Yes, how come Jack just walked into the cafe but Bernie had to find her spare key to get in.
Alfie would have just bought her chips in real life just to shut her up if nothing else !
Was it Harvey and Jean who were seen eating chips at one stage ? Someone was , so it was open.
Surely she should have thrown out all the food once they decided to close down as well.

the80sweregreat · 04/04/2024 09:06

The thermometer has been washed by Elaine and ended up on the floor near a dog and wiped and now being hidden by Kathy in a tea towel , so no idea if Ken's dna is on it ! I even recall Linda giving it a quick wipe on
Christmas night too before hiding it I think.
I doubt there is much on it , but forensics might find something? Who knows

Eastie77Returns · 03/04/2024 22:07

Chelsea and Dean were step brother and sister and one point. I don’t think they ever went out. Dean’s dad was one of Denise’s many husbands.

Imo the best husband I loved him shame he died in a middle aged joy ride with Shirley 😃

Eastie77Returns · 04/04/2024 09:51

@the80sweregreat Sonia and Reiss were eating fish and chips so Ian’s place was clearly open. And yes, how rank to keep food in the cafe with that that smell and then try to cook it especially if she thought the fridges were broken🤮

@Mrsjayy Kevin was def her best husband, the only one she had chemistry with! Wasn’t he Pat’s cousin or nephew? And I seem to remember Phil was responsible for killing him in that dodgy car.

Ok now makes sense that the door is one that locks on closing. So indeed…how did Jack walk in?? Maybe Walford old bill walk around with master keys😂

Mrsjayy · 04/04/2024 09:54

Yes Kevin was Pats Nephew through her first husband.

the80sweregreat · 04/04/2024 10:16

Yes,wouldn't the cafe been infested with flies first or something? Maybe being actually buried for a while has helped , but surely they would appear now ?
It's made me realize how little I know to be honest , but on some tv programmes / books about murder or death the scientists go on about the temperature or how a body is concealed as to how they can determine how they died or whatever ( or if it's been moved after death)
Ken was moved once and Ian could identify his tarpaulin from his skip !
Walford police are pretty dim though

Mrsjayy · 04/04/2024 10:17

I think a fly infestation was probably too far for the writers.

GloriousintheArctic · 04/04/2024 10:28

Bunionbabe · 04/04/2024 08:58

That meat thermometer has been inside a lamb joint and washed so is it still evidence?

Assuming the wound marks are still 'available' on the body (no idea how feasible that is, but this is EastEnders) then it being in someone's possession would be evidence. It turned up at just the right time which makes it seem relevant. Elaine knows it was under Linda's bed, but Dean(o) was conveniently snooping upstairs at the Vic that day so... did anyone see him leaving?

the80sweregreat · 04/04/2024 12:15

I'm not sure why someone hasn't taken the meat thermometer miles away to a tip and disposed of it months ago!
They all drive and can book an appointment for the council tips on line.
Or a bin miles away if that's a problem ( I know our one doesn't let you in if you don't live in the area) or just smashed it up with a big hammer and disposed of it that way
( too invested really !)
Bit late now I suppose and Kathy has now hidden it

Mrsjayy · 04/04/2024 12:46

Just caught up it was a bit drawn out but we got there in the end ! Poor Bernie , there is a lot of Dean I think he's definitely going to be framed.

the80sweregreat · 04/04/2024 12:49

Poor Bernie :( she doesn't deserve this
The Pastor is being such a tool
Poor Yolande

Eastie77Returns · 04/04/2024 12:57

I suppose the issue with thermometer is that it can’t easily be destroyed, eg broken or smashed even with a hammer, so they would have to throw it away ‘as is’ and pray it’s never found. I suppose you’d be nervous disposing of it like that, even miles away, if you’d murdered someone with it. Items have a weird way of turning up.

The best thing would be to throw it in one of those car crushers type things. They need Phil, he’d definitely know how to do that!

Floraflower3 · 04/04/2024 13:05

I thought Linda stabbed him with a meat fork thing not a thermometer?! The only meat thermometers I know are long, skinny ones.
