Oh no poor Ellie. She wants children. A man who says he is open to not having them, that's going to be the death knell!

Ellie should have been paired with that bloke who is so dull I've forgotten his name who is with Lauren. They've totally shafted her by putting her with this fame fucker.

Marchintospring · 07/03/2024 22:11

I think the photo ranking is a valid task. They are only two weeks in and I bet everyone of them is wondering if their match actually is a good match. It's a good way of observing a another aspect of your partner. What do they think sexually attractive is.

As for Tim and Lucinda he already had to say he didn't find her sexually attractive ( yet). And they both put conversation top of their values list. They have nothing to prove. They should get to know each other, have a drunken shag on week 4 and decide after that if they want to keep going.

Marchintospring · 07/03/2024 22:36

Honestly, I think Tim needs to step up a little bit. Meet Lucinda somewhere in the middle.

He wants space, not to have to give any affection. It’s hard to try and build a connection if he just wants to sit around watching tv and not try to connect with his wife a bit. A simple hug from time to time would probably suffice for Lucinda just so she feels she’s getting something back.

Yes but I’m sure he would have if he thought that wouldn’t cause Lucinda to push it further. I mean they’ve been sharing a bed and a flat. That’s more intimate than a one night stand in my book.

TinselAngel · 07/03/2024 23:40

Does Jack do fake tan, but red?

SinisterBumFacedCat · 08/03/2024 00:33

Jack is a tattooed lobster

NecessaryNC24 · 08/03/2024 06:09

lol.

I can't believe Lauren ranked Collins so highly.

I know. What was that about ??

dapsnotplimsolls · 07/03/2024 19:55

Natalie really needed a decent guy, I can't believe they put her with Collins. Gits.

💯

Floatinginvacherin · 08/03/2024 09:41

I get that we all know we’re not watching a scientific experiment really but matching people with such opposing beliefs or preferences is less than a dating site questionnaire would manage.

Catlord · 08/03/2024 10:22

Gah, Ellie.

Why put 30 something women wanting kids who have had bad experiences with men who aren't totally rock solid about wanting the same?

It's cheap and shitty to waste their time and get their hopes up when they could be out meeting someone in real life.

Reminds me of a UK series putting a mid 30s woman (Amy? Ex glam model) who had lost twins with a bloody 26 year old. Pleasant though he was, what were they thinking with that age gap?

The photo task is only included to stir up trouble in my opinion.

Marchintospring · 08/03/2024 11:13

@tothelefttotheleft I know what you’re saying and I agree it’s contentious.

I think its more that they aren’t entirely separate couples. They have to do a lot of tasks as a group. I think it’d be helpful to know what they thought about the other suckers. Also useful to gauge how your partner approaches the task, I mean the Tim/ Richard contrast says a lot. Also some of them rank by looks and some add personality into the mix.
Was Lauren taking the piss with Collins? She’s a bit maverick. He’s good looking in terms of a photo but his whole demeanour is so off, he comes across badly in real life..

MaggieFS · 08/03/2024 12:04

I'm not normally a pearl clutcher, but lecherous as Richard was, I don't think it's appropriate to nickname him Rolf.

Revolted by Jayden. Bizarre. Disgusting. Worried about what kind of brain thinks of that. And doesn't regret it. That said, I can see why pp on the previous three did say it was different to what Eden experienced. That doesn't excuse it, but it wasn't the same.

Reckon it could well be him who gets chucked off, but more likely Jack.

Timothy handles it well.

Disappointed by patronising Ben on the priorities task.

Lauren asking her DH to find a new adjective was fab.

Not sure what to make of Sara not sharing her phone.

Looking forward to the chat when Collins gets properly called out for the deflection which was trailed last night.

Villagetoraiseachild · 08/03/2024 12:13

@MaggieFS , yes you are right about Richard's nickname.l think I may have used it and won't again.
I don't want to even think about the original who owned that name really.

Skiphopbump · 08/03/2024 12:55

Maybe Lauren does find Collins attractive or maybe she’s the game for the nonsense it is and picked at random except for first and last.

NecessaryNC24 · 08/03/2024 13:09

I'm guessing random. He could be her type physically ofc, but she'd have to override that whole issue of his personality first wouldn't she ?

Rosiiee · 08/03/2024 13:14

@Skiphopbump yeah that’s what I figured she did. It’s what I would do 😂 wouldn’t bother except for my top.

I think Lauren was trying to manage the task with diplomacy by going for nice looking but totally non threatening men- Tim is tall, athletic and tanned and Collins is quite cute and well dressed but neither are her usual sexy bad boy type in terms of attitude.

TempName247 · 08/03/2024 13:20

My thinking is Lauren put him up there as he is unthreatening plus I think she isn’t impressed with the good looking buff men, having met them she probably prefers a more quirky personality to the knucklehead type - also she would not want to give them an ego boost by putting them top.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 08/03/2024 13:27

I'm confused that there is a Timothy and a Tim! Timothy is with Lucinda, who is Tim paired with?

Lauren?

Bluetrews25 · 08/03/2024 13:43

Is it not Sara with Tim?

Floatinginvacherin · 08/03/2024 13:49

Lauren has the husband who I decided last night must be Jono as I’ve seen people talk about someone called that on here but have no idea who he is.

Izzy24 · 08/03/2024 14:07

Apart from Richard I think this year’s lot who’ve done the picture task have done better than previous years - there’s really only one place for your partner?

Maybe something will come out about Sara’s phone but I’m with her - either you trust me or you don’t.

Also, I have stuff on my phone that is private between me and my friends- no way I would compromise their privacy by letting anyone else read it.

YouDidntEvenAskIfSheWasThereMoriarty · 08/03/2024 14:09

I agree with Sara. If you have to prove that you're trustworthy by allowing access to private conversations, it's not trust at all.
