It is easier for the traitors to win

Not really.

feelingalittlehorse · 26/01/2024 23:49

Because I don’t have any other social media; if we could carry on posting great memes here- that would be great 👋

Roastiesarethebestbit · 26/01/2024 23:50

I think the traitors have a massive advantage in the game. The faithfuls have very little to go on really and too many banishments are due to personality. And the potentially best faithfuls get murdered early on. I think the traitors need to be put under more pressure and be forced to do more risky murders that might potentially reveal themselves and to give the faithfuls more
to
’investigate’.

saying that I am glad Harry won, as even though I wanted jaz to win, I don’t think mollie deserved to have a share of the winnings as she only lasted to the end
because she was clueless and no threat.

I think last series would have had Wilf winning, with his clueless besties, if Kieran hadn’t dropped him
in it at the end.

What you really want to
happen is for decent faithfuls to win, but the game is too stacked against them.
so it’s either a traitor or a lame faithful who’s coasted through and lucked
out at the end.

Anyone planning to watch the Aussie S 2 which will be shown on iplayer? last year's had brillliant strategy but crap production values and hosting

Definitely. I liked season 1. When is it on?

Roastiesarethebestbit · 26/01/2024 23:52

Yep, vote off all the good faithfuls and keep the lame ones and tell them you’re my bestie I trust you’ over and over.

crabbyoldbat · 26/01/2024 23:52

It is definitely easier for traitors to win - they have all the power and control, they just have to be friendly and not give themselves away.

TooOldForThisNonsense · 26/01/2024 23:53

laclochette · 26/01/2024 23:33

It's armchair psychology of course but I think you can argue that Jaz's sad family history and resulting trust issues both made him a great player, and stopped him from being good enough to win. He was less blindly trusting than anyone else - but he also couldn't bring himself to take others into his trust until it was too late ie before Evie got banished.

I think this is probably spot on.

WhyAmINotCleaning · 26/01/2024 23:54

MothersofGorgons · 26/01/2024 23:01

Why on earth would he do that? After playing so well and working so hard? And with a massive family?

Harry isn't going to share amongst the 'ten or eleven l' in his family (has he forgotten?). He'll take them out for dinner and a few treats and treat himself to the rest. Yes, surely he could have given a nod to a disability charity.

CaveMum · 26/01/2024 23:54

I maintain that next year we should have an all female Traitor team! The social dynamics would be fascinating to watch.

I think they need to make the traitors take risks in order for rewards. This would then lead to breadcrumbs/ clues for the faithfuls to follow/ solve. At the moment it is really just a parlour game and the traitors have too great an advantage.

AnImaginaryCat · 26/01/2024 23:55

In what way was Harry like Wilf?

Wilf was a hyperactive hysterical mess who got increasingly desperate when challanged or things didn'tgo his way. Harry stayed calm and did what it took to win even if he didn't want to.

No idea how old Wilf was but Harry is far more mature than him. Being in the army would make him more so.- and help with remaining level headed and just getting with the job.

TheMadGardener · 26/01/2024 23:56

Gah. I know everyone has piled on to say the same thing but HONESTLY Mollie, why would Jaz have voted red if he was a Traitor????

Jaz so nearly saved the day - if only he hadn't voted for Andrew before Harry, it might have worked out. I do think he was being honest when he said he had no regrets - Mollie must have MANY regrets!!!

However I did prefer this ending to last season when Kieran basically ruined everything.

I'm currently halfway through binging Traitors New Zealand and I love it - the host there is really good.

Quite. I was a bit frustrated by this. She signed up for it and passed whatever tests she had to.

I thought it was hilarious that Harry repaired helicopters but had never flown in one before!

Strugglebus · 26/01/2024 23:57

I thought that was a bit sad

I completely agree. The best part of
the show was when they had to poison a faithful. Real pressure on the traitors and actual clues for the faithfuls! I don’t get why they don’t do more
of that.

BCxx · 27/01/2024 00:00

Couldn’t believe how all of that played out 🙈 When Mollie wrote ‘H’ I was actually cheering in my living room thinking she was going to do it. She did Jaz and her out of nearly 50 grand each with one word 😩

For the first time ever Harry was actually put on the spot and he reacted so sooo badly! He turned to mush and had the most guilty face I’ve ever seen. Like a little boy who’s been caught out. So wish someone (or even Jaz) had done it sooner or pushed a tiny bit harder.

Also why did everything ride on Evie being it because of the shield theory then the minute Evie went out no one turned round and went, wait there’s only one person who can now be lying and it’s you Harry?! It’s like they didn’t even consider that as an option

Here's a question... on a previous thread we discussed that success as a faithful was just staying in. And that being quiet was a stronger move because anyone gobby would be binned.

But what's the point if you end up as Mollie did. She wasn't cannon fodder, but she was almost a human shield. And she ended up in the same place as everyone else - with nothing.

Does getting furthest, as she did, make her the strongest faithful? I would say not...

This is why I liked Jaz so much - he realised he needed to be the 'friend' of a traitor to get to the final, and started sucking up to Harry. And he nearly did it, too.

But Harry also knew the value of a trusting friend at the end, and, from what he said in the last episode, and in Uncloaked, he thought he had two there with him.

@TheMadGardener I watched that and really enjoyed it! I enjoyed the Canadian version even more.

I’m watching US S2 The Traitors as it comes out week by week and I like it a lot more than thr US S1. Having it all be ‘celebrities’ instead of a mix of that and ‘civilians’ Wink works much better.

AnImaginaryCat · 27/01/2024 00:03

I'm disappointed Jaz didn't vote Harry when Andrew did. Don't understand his thinking on that one.

It also robbed us of finding our what happens if the vote is split as it would have been 2xHarry 2xAndrew.*

Jaz let me down just for that, the he admitted to not knowing who Agatha Christie was, then saud she was some old woman who solved 60 murder mysteries.

*if this has happened in a different series, seeing we can't discuss them on here, please pm me!!

MandyMotherOfBrian · 27/01/2024 00:03

Turkeyhen · 26/01/2024 23:27

What would have happened if Jaz had voted Harry with Andrew and there was a
deadlock?

Harry and Andrew would have not been allowed to vote and Jaz and Mollie would have had to vote again - maybe one would have convinced the other they were correct. Maybe Jaz could have convinced Mollie but I doubt it, he probably would have changed his vote and they would have voted Andrew out - so back to the same result.🤷‍♀️
