OF COURSE a good traitor is a liar in real life! Where do you think they get to be so good at manipulating people?

Saying "it's just playing the game" is the same as believing a world class tennis player just rocks up with no extensive practice and wins a grand slam. It's been fascinating to watch proper psychopaths in action, but I'm amazed anyone thinks they're going to be lovely fluffy bunnies irl.

This is silly.

Lots of people play these sorts of games and are good at them without being liars.

Some people are more quick-witted, better strategic thinkers and/or better actors than others. Doesn’t mean they’re liars.

Actors are professional liars, they’re playing a role. The traitors play a role.

RayonSunrise · 26/01/2024 23:13

Manipulation for good! I'm in a convo with people who would write to serial killers in prison. 😂

Jaz messed up voting g Andrew off before Harry, I think he realised immediately after he'd done it that he messed up as mollie would never vote Harry which could only mean Harry and mollie would vote jaz.

Out of interest if Jaz had voted for Harry first, it would have been a tie I think? Andrew and Jaz for harry, and mollie and harry for Andrew? What would have happened then?

@WriterOfWrongs

Stop banging on with your 'critical skills'

'Employ some critical thinking & comprehension skills'

We are not in a Year 1 lecture on essay writing techniques

I’m not banging on. That would apply saying it more than once. I haven’t.

Because writing to serial killers would also mean you’re a fab liar…? 🥴

Surprised that Evie didn't suspect Harry. I thought she was getting smarter towards the end. So then even if Jaz had spoken to her, it would have been useless.

The women this season have been super disappointing, except Diane to some extent.

Jasmine and Zach were totally shocked at Harry too

He really convinced everyone

WriterOfWrongs · 26/01/2024 23:15

But bless you @GoldLash for thinking children in Year One learn essay writing techniques Grin. They’re 5 & 6…

Harry's a psychopath now? 🙄

It's a double edged sword being a good traitor in this game - you win, but you're revealed on a national stage as a lying untrustworthy shit who no-one should ever trust. 95k isn't a lot to carry that reputation around, unless you can make people so impressed with you they'll forgive anything...

Agree with this actually. Of course it’s a game and some people had to be traitors. However it’s interesting to see how easily some people take to the lying and the manipulation and how they start to enjoy it. It’s almost a skill. If I knew Harry in real life, I could never trust him fully again after watching that.

ohmydiddlydays · 26/01/2024 23:16

Mollie was just so taken in she chose (or thought she chose) to split the money with Harry over a guaranteed win for her but splitting the money with Jas instead of Harry (assuming she'd realised that Jas couldn't actually be a traitor as he'd voted for another banishment.) It was a huge gamble just so she could split the money with Harry over Jas. I am not surprised she is devastated, it's a really cruel lesson for her. Harry did deserve to win though, I genuinely didn't know who I was rooting for at the end!

The faithfuls in general have been really disappointing, considering they’re selected carefully from a large pool of applicants. Total lack of critical thinking from most of them. So many really obvious talking points not discussed, clear evidence not taken on board etc. it’s been very frustrating.

cyclamenqueen · 26/01/2024 23:17

The right winner even if it’s not always easy to watch. Harry worked really hard, he formulated his strategy and kept working and adjusting all the way through always keeping his eye on the final goal. He also worked really hard in all the challenges , that pot would not have been as high without him.

MaggieFS · 26/01/2024 23:17

They didn't explain the question about Tracey's worldly goods, did they? I need to know!

People are way too harsh on Mollie - quite patronising actually. Nobody except Jaz thought it might be Harry. They all pretty much fell on the floor in shock when they read his name on Uncloaked. Harry just played the game way better than anyone else.

newslettersnotifications · 26/01/2024 23:17

I think Harry was great, totally deserved to win. Last year was such a disappointment of an ending with Aaron, Hannah and Meryl winning. Wilf totally deserved to win although I did love the double cross from Kieran.

all this said the last round table with him and Mollie was painful to watch although why would she think Jaz would put himself up again if he was a traitor.

Jaz not knowing who Agatha Christie was my “fuck, fuck “ scales have glfallen from my eyes Mollie moment

shreknjumps · 26/01/2024 23:19

If Jaz had gone with Andrew and voted harry out then he'd have revealed he was in fact a traitor. Then they would've all voted to end the game and Andrew would've won. Brilliant play from Andrew if only Jaz had gone with it!

a proper WTF moment

shreknjumps · 26/01/2024 23:20

Or, Jaz would've voted again and he'd have split the money with Mollie. Either way, he stood no chance after voting in the wrong order

LoreleiG · 26/01/2024 23:20

Harry definitely deserved to win! Amazing playing. I felt sorry for Mollie. But, it is a game. Jaz was incredible and I would have been happy for him to win too. How did he always know what was going on? My child suggested at one point that he was a plant.

This is one of the many areas where it's a shame Jaz wasn't more articulate and a shame he didn't push his point further. I think he did mention this, but didn't really say it such that he could convince Molly... that being, if we stop now and we're all faithful we split it three ways. If you have shred of doubt, banish. Remove the doubt from the equation, and in the process, increase your share.

Mollie was too blinkered. I hope she learns from it.

On the Bonus episode of Uncloaked Harry said he was taking the 'gold' (money) home tonight. So maybe they don't get the money until it's actually aired? Do the other contestants get anything at all?
