Why on earth would Harry be pulled up before the Army Ethics Committee? 🤔

househunter24 · 25/01/2024 08:32

@squirrelnutkin23 and @LaBelleSauvage123 I read an article which said that, when they stay in the hotel overnight, there are people on the doors etc to make sure they don't interact outside of the confides of the show. Basically every moment they are together, they are on camera.

squirrelnutkin23 · 25/01/2024 08:34

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already but do we think Ross revealed Diane was his mum to make it clear he was a recent recruit rather than a traitor from the start?

I wondered about that...

LaBelleSauvage123 · 25/01/2024 08:36

No, I think he just wanted to see peoples faces! But inadvertently it may make them realise. With any luck!

PuppyMonkey · 25/01/2024 08:36

I really, really hope that Mollie is playing a clever game where she’s convinced Harry he doesn’t have to worry about her and she’ll then stay in the game until the last night when she dramatically outs him as the traitor she knew he was all along. She’s so clever, she doesn’t even say anything in the filmed talking heads bits so she surprises the viewers as well. Grin

Just checking into the new thread so I don’t lose you all!

I think it was always going to be revealed at some point, whether he was murdered or banished. If he'd been murdered, presumably Claudia would have done it.

TheTripThatWasnt · 25/01/2024 08:38

I think Ross revealing the mum/son relationship was to give them something else to talk/think about, a nice tangent from the ever-increasing tensions between some of the others, and probably partly to see the reactions.

It would have been a bit daft to go the whole way through the game with no-one other than those 2 knowing it.

AnImaginaryCat · 25/01/2024 08:39

I can't work out Ross' thinking running off to tell Harry what Andrew had said. What did he think would come of that?

I'd like Zach to be murdered because I want him out the game as he's, as I described him last thread, like a squirrel on speed.but I'd settle for Mollie being murdered and the Zach banished. Can you imagine the hullabaloo if people started accusing hom at the round table. He'd go nutszoid!!

Can't recall who said it after that challange, that if someone else had carried the gold into a trap they'd never hear the end if it from Zach. You can imagine that's true can't you.

Maybe tomorrow's round table is the one that had Claudia shaking?

wubwubwub · 25/01/2024 08:40

What happens if 2 traitors get to the final?

Anisette · 25/01/2024 08:40

Do the participants get paid? I'm thinking there must have been some sort of very tight contractual clause to stop a repeat of Kieran's action in revealing a fellow traitor. Or else they just impress on them that if anyone does that the entire series will get junked.

Anisette · 25/01/2024 08:40

wubwubwub · 25/01/2024 08:40

What happens if 2 traitors get to the final?

They share the money.

squirrelnutkin23 · 25/01/2024 08:41

wubwubwub · 25/01/2024 08:40

What happens if 2 traitors get to the final?

They split the money if the remaining faithful agree to end the game.

PuppyMonkey · 25/01/2024 08:43

The two traitors would stay in unless anyone left still has doubts and wants to vote them off. When everyone agrees there are no more traitors left, the game ends and if the two traitors are still there, they’d win.

GU24Mum · 25/01/2024 08:44

I'd like Mollie to go as she really doesn't add anything (imo). If she ends up winning it will be because she's been completely bland and not really contributed anything.

I wish Ross had never accepted the Traitorship but guess he'd have had a target on him either way.

Edited

If that's true, she's also playing us, the viewers, because she's told the camera several times that she trusts him despite HUGE RED FLAGS.

I don't think she's that guileful but maybe she'll pull a Hannah and work it out last minute.

I think Jaz is a goner. Really hope I'm wrong but if I'm not, then Team Andrew. As long as it's not Harry!

MadCatLady27 · 25/01/2024 08:45

I'm also rooting for the Traitors and would want to be one if I was on the show

I find the faithful acting like sheep really annoying and some in there don't deserve to get to the final having done nothing

Harry is playing such a skilled game, I want people to win who have earnt it and he has. If Mollie wins having done nothing but swoon over Harry it'll be so frustrating, ala Hannah with Wilf last year it took the most enormous blaring beacon to convince her. It could play out the same with Mollie.

I don't even think Paul did too badly until his last 2 days when he got too cocky and that's what slipped him up

It's about knowing when to put people under the bus as a traitor. I think I'd be ok with knowing when to do that but cannot lie for toffee so as soon as someone asked me if I was I'd probably start smirking!

happinessischocolate · 25/01/2024 08:45

It was Jasmine and he hated it 😂😂😂

Morred · 25/01/2024 08:47

This is the slight flaw in the format of the game - to be a 'good faithful' you need to be good both at working out who the traitors are, and at persuading your fellow players of your conclusions. Both Jaz and Zach are failing at the second part, I think.

(Also to be a potentially winning faithful, at least for the first few weeks, you don't actually need to be spotting traitors, you need to get through and stay in the game - that means not get murdered OR banished. That encourages the faithful to be a bit 'bland' I think. If you're a big character and you either lead everyone to vote for the wrong person, or you keep throwing out 'theories', it looks like you're shit-stirring and you'll get banished. The Rest is Entertainment had a really interesting discussion about the format in their special Traitors episode.)

Choux · 25/01/2024 08:49

I think tonight's round table - the last to get to the final 5 - is going to be the one which shakes Claudia. The final murder has been committed and if they can find one more traitor - they know there is one left but aren't sure if there are more - then they can start thinking about ending the game.

Everyone will be desperate to avoid banishment. They need to find a traitor so in the spotlight will be Jasmine who will possibly try to deflect to Zack if still there or maybe Andrew if Zack is gone. Then I think Evie and Jaz if still there will put the spotlight on Harry and maybe Andrew and they will both be fighting to save themselves by exposing each other at that point.

I predict two rounds of voting before the banishment concludes.

OvaHere · 25/01/2024 08:54

If Harry wins, wonder if he’ll be pulled up in front of an Army Ethics Committee.

I was thinking he might get a promotion to Special Forces or recruited to MI5.* *😂

And this is a flaw, perhaps not in the game but in its entertainment value. It's almost impossible for big, smart personalities to last as Faithfuls.

I'm also starting to see just how much the odds are tipped towards the Traitors; we knew they always had the advantage, of course, but it's becoming clear just how much more clever a Faithful has to be to have any chance. Spotting the Traitors isn't enough - you also have to convince people while remaining unthreatening to Traitors and I'm not sure how possible that is. That's why I'm a bit "urgh" about the "Traitors deserve it, they play so well" viewpoint. It does get harder to be a Traitor as the game goes on, but the same goes for Faithfuls and it's so much harder to be one of them and still win.

I've been enjoying both seasons but I think I might leave it after this one. The flaws in the concept are starting to annoy me now. Or maybe I'm just sore because I think Harry's going to win.

Newgirls · 25/01/2024 08:56

Great thread title

whoever said Harry might banish molly tonight - that is genius. It would make him look innocent. But would he risk it and still have the boys in there. We shall find out!

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 08:58

I really hope Harry murders Mollie.
