I’ve changed my mind about who I want to win after last night. Zach piling on at breakfast really annoyed me - let people breathe, for Gods sake! I feel sorry for Andrew as he so obviously hates being a traitor but is trying to make the best of it. I agree with the theory that we’re being set up for a spectacular Harry downfall. But I’d rather him win than Zach, or Mollie. So my preferred order would now be : Andrew, Jas, Evie, Jasmine, Harry, Mollie, Zach.

I do think Andrew will struggle with taking all the money if he does win. He’s such a team player.

I changed my mind about Zack too last night.
I still want Jaz to win though. That's one thing I haven't changed my mind about. I'm afraid I definitely don't want Harry to win; he's just been too ruthless and devoid of conscience. He's very young, so for that reason I make allowances. If he was older and behaving like that, I'd be really concerned.
I'm kind of neutral on all the other remaining faithfuls. No strong thoughts either way, other than so much sympathy for Mollie.
I agree with you about Andrew. I feel very sorry for him. He's clearly a really decent bloke, and the traitor role is uncomfortable for him. I wish he was still a faithful.

MajesticWhine · 25/01/2024 08:02

Opinion piece in the Times. It's not really about the traitors but more about how susceptible humans are to groupthink. Respect to Zac and Jaz for being oddballs.

Like the Traitors, we’re hostage to groupthink:

I think I horrified my friends when i said I was always on the side of the Traitors! I find them much more interesting than the faithfuls. Rooting for Harry still.

MaggieFS · 25/01/2024 08:06

I don't think Jaz had a "mindwipe" half way through. He was getting close to being banished, and after a couple of heavy convos with Paul, stayed quiet. I hope it's tactical brilliance rather than that he's felt bullied into keeping quiet. Either way, I think it's bought him extra time.

I thought we saw some strategic thinking from Andrew for the first time last night. Not sure I'd have gone with everything he's thinking, but I liked him doing it.

Another thing that irritated me from Harry - two or three references to "baby traitors".

I actually think many of the faithfuls are just as interesting, but we're not given the chance to see it. The interesting faithfuls have learnt to hide much of themselves so they don't stand out, for survival. It's a shame.

Holidayhell22 · 25/01/2024 08:08

Another Jaz fan here.
I’ve rooted for him all along. Nobody listens to him. Both Zack and Evie telling him he was way off the mark when he told them about his suspicions of Harry.
I fear he will be gone though.
Harry is using Mollie so I think he will take her through to the final. He is quite nasty in how he speaks about her. Yes it’s only a game, but I’ve noticed the words he uses with regard to people like Diane and Mollie and he isn’t pleasant.
Jasmine or Zack will probably get banished, that is if Zack isn’t murdered.
I knew Zack would do Harry’s work and just go crazy with accusations at the round table. If he isn’t murdered he will continue that tonight.
I can see how annoying Zack is to the others. He constantly talks over everyone.
Not sure about Evie. She could be playing a great game but so far had just flown under the radar and not been much help.
This whole set up reminds me of work place set ups. Same personality types. Same devious people getting ahead. Same conscientious people being taken advantage off and not listened to. It’s a great reality show.

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 08:09

Am always on the side of the Traitors because their job is harder. Traitors are meant to be ruthless! That's the game, not sit around chanting " I am a team player" till you are banished. I have zero sympathy for Mollie or Andrew. Jasmine could have been a good traitor, I think.

AnImaginaryCat · 25/01/2024 08:11

ClarasZoo · 25/01/2024 07:25

Wouldn’t it be great if , in the final, Mollie reveals she has known about Harry all along and it was her who was manipulating him?! And she votes him out and wins ithe money with Jaz… do you think the producers sit them down and say, right we are going to film you backing up Harry as a faithful. Now do it as if you suspect him… and they only use the footage that suits the narrative when it’s all edited at the end….

That would be great. Though I don't know if the producers would do that. Too many viewers would consider it deceptive. Its like when people watch a series, one which they discuss theories throughout - then when the series doesn't end as thier (madcap) theory go balistic and claim it "shit".

As viewers we much prefer to class contestants in a certain role ("sheep", "stupid", "nasty" or whatever) because of their behaviours and how they interpret behaviours. (Forgetting as a viewer you know who the traitior is so can't know how you'd interpret without knowing that information.) That's most of the appeal of Traitors having the upper hand on them (like a traitor!) and why the Mole is less appealing.

The producers can control this narrative, by only showing us certain reactions and clips of the yellow chair. If they suddenly switch this narrative at they end it'd annoy everyone!!

ismu · 25/01/2024 08:13

I wonder if Mollie and Harry have a pact- she was so vocal about trusting him last night. Maybe he'll protect her till the final and then split the cash?

I agree. He's too much. And he's not as clever as he thinks. I think he'll get murdered very soon. Next to be banished will be jasmine and then it's anyone's game.

I'm almost certain we're being set up for a Harry downfall too. I felt so bad for Ross being stitched up after only one day of being a traitor but it was a great move by Harry.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 25/01/2024 08:20

Are traitors allowed to split the cash with Faithfuls? I didn’t think so - and don’t think Harry would anyway. I do think Andrew might though, if allowed.

squirrelnutkin23 · 25/01/2024 08:21

Willmafrockfit · 25/01/2024 06:17

how on earth do they stop the banished doing a Keiron?

i seem to recall last year there were a lot of tears at the round table
all seems a lot calmer this time.

Edited

I often say to dh there's no way I'd keep my composure, id just want to take them all down and ruin the game 😂

What Keiron did was questionable. Obviously they are allowed to argue and accuse around the round table but I seem to remember him making some parting comment about Wilf that really gave the game away. By that point I feel like Wilf was almost relieved though.

It's such a good show.

Not within the game they're not. But who's to stop them making a private agreement afterwards?

Ruminate2much · 25/01/2024 08:23

@squirrelnutkin23 I felt desperately sorry for Ross too. I know it's only a game, but it's kind of a microcosm of how much of our capitalist society works. The cruel and powerful trample over the gentle and good.
I wonder if Tory viewers mostly support the traitors; and the lefties among us mostly support the faithfuls?! But I'm probably overthinking it!

FiveFoxes · 25/01/2024 08:23

Baby Traitors is Harry putting them in their place. He was there from the beginning and so is a 'proper' traitor.

I am really starting to dislike Harry. Andrew shows us it is possible to have a decent person as a traitor. Actually I would like a serious when the Jaz type people are Traitors rather than the cocky ones.

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 08:24

Of course it's all edited, but that's all we have to go on.Mollie may well be a kick ass woman in her real life, but I haven't been shown any evidence of that. The same goes for Andrew.

I agree Harry will take a fall. Am going to be so mad if Andrew wins. He has done absolutely nothing. Hope Jaz wins if not Harry.

househunter24 · 25/01/2024 08:25

@Willmafrockfit - I remember at the beginning of this series they had to make a promise not to reveal other traitors. Perhaps they put that in for that specific reason.

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 08:25

Oh and I am not a Tory. What? Its a game!

DietrichandDiMaggio · 25/01/2024 08:26

From the previous thread:

I'm telling myself there has to be a parallel universe somewhere where Ross does indeed avenge Diane, and it played out the way many of us hoped. That's the only way I can make what happened last night (in this universe!) bearable!

I don't get this though. Diane being murdered was just part of the game and she was obviously going to be targeted, because she was a louder character. Ok, she's his mum., but apart from that, there was no reason for her not to have been murdered. Ross was never going to be able to 'avenge' her death as a traitor, because he wasn't very good as a faithful either, and he certainly didn't deserve to win.
Also those saying it's obvious he was recruited later because he couldn't have murdered his mum - IT'S A GAME!

happinessischocolate · 25/01/2024 08:27

I think Andrew is a lot more intelligent than he's making out.

  1. apart from losing Jasmine, he completed the task, no one else did. If that had been Zack he would have been bragging about how clever he was, but Andrew kept really playing it down. Kept saying it was the team that won.

  2. he immediately, without even a pause said "when have I ever used the word elusive" it was so quick. That's someone who is already playing it down and pretending.

3)he doesn't trust Harry at all and yet Harry thinks he's his baby traitor

MotherofGorgons · 25/01/2024 08:25

I know! Sorry, I probably am overthinking it!!!

Samcro · 25/01/2024 08:27

i find jasmine rude. Zack said sorry to her and she rebuffed hi, she doesn't come across as very likeable. (in the bits we see)
I am not sure if I care who wins. want Jaz too but he will be murdered.

But pacts mean nothing. If they did, traitors wouldn’t vote against traitors.

Osteospermum · 25/01/2024 08:30

If Harry wins, wonder if he’ll be pulled up in front of an Army Ethics Committee.

I think Andrew might go before the final, he said ‘thrown under the bus’ so many times, only a traitor could do that to another traitor. Both Evie and Mollie seem to be suspicious of him protesting so much and also questioning why Ross would downright lie about the ‘elusive’ comment.

There's no way Harry is going to share £60k with a woman he met a week or so ago.
