It's definitely a combination for Denise of losing her D necklace and finding out about the affair with Stacey and Jack and well , maybe , her past and being held captive by Lucas that time, plus he knows what it's like to kill ( as does Stacey too )
She clearly needs a lot of help , but you really can't wonder at the reasons why she's cracking up under the pressure

It was always going to be about the six because they made a pact not to tell the police the truth and hide a dead body. A very bad move all round and now they are stuck with their decisions.
Sharon has run off , but I suppose she will return eventually to have to face the music especially as Kathy has told her it's all ok ! It really isn't.
If Ken is found , then they will all just land Linda in it in order to save themselves. Although Dee's necklace is a sticking point there.
Denise has told Lucas things she shouldn't have done and johhny wants to save his mum!

All a bit of a mess.

People are subjected to extreme pressure for all sorts of reasons, especially as the world is now. Look at the ITV progs about covid, the post office mess or the news from Ukraine or Gaza. Can't see many people demonstrating D's hammy histrionics. It's Mrs Rochester in the attic stuff.

Denise is a very tough lady and she's resilient - she's been through all kinds of stuff without this melodramatic quasi-PTSD stuff happening so this current storyline of hers doesn't ring true at all. I get the feeling Diane Parish is uncomfortable playing these unconvincing scenes.

I just feel that Denise thinks that the necklace will be found and she'll be the one up for murder. She might even be mixing up the missing murder weapon with her own jewellery because she isn't well
I'm actually enjoying this ( in a bizarre way ) because of how the others are reacting to it ( especially the four left who know why she is being like this , but can't tell anyone else why )
Nice to see Lucas too , even if he is a really bad baddie.
It's certainly a bit different, but I can see why people are not convinced.
Maybe she'll be sectioned eventually and it'll end that way , but I've no idea how it'll pan out

I think Stacey and Jean were/are both so good at depicting characters who are bi-polar that Dee seems a bit cartoonish with her MH struggles. Also their conditions developed over time and we’ve seen relapses etc so it seems believable whereas Dee’s collapse has come about under a very dramatic and increasingly silly storyline.

I think Denise feels so haunted due to her necklace and evidence that she was linked

Stace is being lovely to her. Prob due to guilt as well as shes been there with episodes and her mum so has some kind of understanding

Anyone can have a breakdown. Especially if you do not sleep for weeks. It is pure torture . Denise is probably menopausal, husband having an affair and witnessed a killing and keeping ‘ the secret’ has pushed her over the edge.It is usually a number of issues overwhelming the person. You are being very blasé about mental health and resilience.
I said when it happened I think they will all crack up in their own way.

I think Denise is playing her role really well

It's lazy writing, and completely irresponsible has no one in soapland heard of contraception other than Jack when he was with Ronnie (I remember when she was pricking the condoms).

I often wonder where Arthur and Hope are whilst Stacey has cosy chats with Jack / Suki or whoever and runs around the square meeting the up with the other women at the Vic ! Lily has her hands full with Charli , Jean is barely seen and Eve has been spotted once the last few weeks or so.
