I've been looking forward to this so much. Especially after the massive cliff hanger it was left on. I knew through interviews he's done that it didn't pick up in Australia again, but I'm disappointed so far. I can't seem to get into it and it seems so grey. Maybe I need to leave it and come back to it.

On episode 1 about ten mins in and zero chemistry on screen so far

That's exactly what I feel. Well, I don't feel it, I know it. There is literally no warmth or chemistry between them at all and it sort of looks like there's no real effort being made.

It's weird, because I felt the chemistry between them in the first season. It's such a different feel all round

Well, I came to this thread to ask if it was feasible to jump straight into S2 without having seen S1 (which I guess may be on the i-player), but now, reading your comments... 😀

I’m not fussed about how either of them look. Zero chemistry and I thought I was watching some old episode of neighbours for the first ten mins. Plus the script with the train carriage bit right at the start was just rubbish. No point to it.

Also as the actress is a bit tubby they’ve gone for the whole oh she must be really funny/make jokes thing as that’s what tubby people are ‘jolly’ etc etc

We watched the first episode last night and really enjoyed it. There's more humour in it than I remember, and the scenery is absolutely stunning.

Yeah, I'm glad I persevered. It did get better, plus I'd looked forward to and waited so long for the 2nd season. I also wanted to know if it was going to turn out the way I thought it would.

I also think she's beautiful.

The funny little comedy moments sometimes take you by surprise, and make a welcome change from the darkness at times.

I hate so much filming in the darkness. Hard to see what is going on at times. Took us a little while to get back into it but enjoying the humour and little quirky bits so far. Nice not to have to use subtitles.

We binged the first 4 episodes yesterday and I really quite enjoyed it...weird, a bit of humour, liked the relationships...and the scenery.

And I don't think much of what she was saying or portraying was really that funny, given that her partner has just been kidnapped. Did you watch the whole episode?!

I watched the first 2 episodes last night. I loved it and thought how they interacted on the train showed a lovely relationship. Waiting for kids to go to bed so I can watch more.

In the fall the wife was not what he desired. He had a type. Petite, thin, dark haired. That was how he supposedly kept his dark side hidden from her because he didn’t have the same desire for her.

How is it fat shaming to point out someone is overweight? No one is saying there is anything wrong with being overweight - just stating a fact.
