Well I’ve just caught up and what can I say…there were definitely some highs and lows tonight.
Poor, poor Nigel, what did they do to him? The dance was absolutely horrific but I’m going to put that down to the ridiculous outfit they had him in.
Although Kai did look silly, I certainly thought he looked a lot younger in that that wig.
Amanda and Gio were fab - I really enjoyed that dance and I loved her blonde wig too!
And as for the CC I felt quite underwhelmed …. but I feel like that with every CC as all we ever seem to see is street dancing. Shirley’s 10 was ridiculous. For some reason I just can’t take to Karen, I don’t know what it is but I don’t get a good vibe from her.
Poor Gorka and Nikita, that girl cannot dance at all. It’s great she’s trying (well, sort of trying) but nothing about dancing is coming naturally to her and it was so awkward to watch.
Annabelle looked stunning in that dress, but I agree with a lot of other posters who felt that at one point the dance just seemed to stop as though something had gone wrong. Johannes looks so unhappy in this series, where has his spark gone? 😢
Pro-Nikita looked absolutely smoking!!!! But the dance was awful! They couldn’t pull it off at all. Leyton trying to emulate Rizzo was quite laughable…she absolutey oozes sex appeal in Grease, and Leyton wearing a long black skirt just doesn’t have the same effect. I don’t mean this in a horrible way, and apologies if it comes out badly (I’m not good at putting my words down well) but in my opinion, the reason why the John and Johannes same-sex coupling worked so well was because they were both strong masculine characters in life and they retained this during their dances. John wasn’t trying to adopt a female personna in order to play the “woman’s role” of a traditional coupling and he was just being himself. I feel that if Layton has more dances like he did tonight, as in trying to play the part of a woman and wearing women’s clothes for example to do this, then his popularity may start to wane. To be honest, I think Pro-Nikita is probably going to get very irritated by Leyton very soon.
I liked Graz’s lion mane - a huge improvement on his real hair!
I wasn’t happy to see Neil there considering his wife has only had a baby a few days ago….where are his priorities. I’d have been furious if my husband left me holding a brand new baby so soon after birth just so he could get his face on a TV screen.
I loved Bobby and his hips! How tall is he? He looks about 8ft! I didn’t realise that was his brother in the audience, I’m going to have to go back and replay it..
Amy looked AMAZING.
Tess also looked AMAZING - what a beautiful dress she was wearing. One thing that does irritate me about Tess though is how she’s always wanting to hold the hand of the celebrities when they make the way to the idea after their dance and she never seems to want to let go either. It’s very awkward!!
Ellie and Angela S are never ones that peak my interest so I don’t really have anything to say about them.
There were definitely a lot of sweaty dancers tonight. It must be bloody hot in that studio though!
And as for Adam….he reminds me of a little kid to the point where when they showed his wife and children I couldn’t believe he was at that stage in life which is pretty silly as I know his twin brother is the same age but he seems a lot more mature. I always remember his brother Ryan from when he was in Celebrity Big Brother and how well he presented himself during the Roxanne scandal and I’ve liked him ever since. So I think I like Adam but only through association with his brother 😂
Amanda’s daughter who was sat behind Craig was hilarious! My 14 year old niece is always sitting around looking completely disinterested in the world whilst biting her nails and so it really made me laugh.
