Tonight 9.30pm. Based on the Sue Gray report telling the story of what was happening during Covid 19 inside 10 Downing Street including the lockdown breaching parties.

Oooh, thanks for the heads up. Will definitely watch this.

ItsTapasTime · 03/10/2023 20:29

I won’t be watching it as it will bring back awful memories. My mil died during lockdown (around the time of the parties). We couldn’t be with her and we weren’t able to go to her funeral.
I think this programme would be too distressing. My Dh is still very, very angry.

JenniferBooth · 03/10/2023 20:35

@ItsTapasTime thats completely understandable Im sorry for your and your DHs loss Flowers Flowers

Jesus that bit was heart wrenching.

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:04

I'm watching.

At first I thought it was trying to be a comedy. It's actually quite angry and hard hitting though.

The levels of sycophancy towards Johnson - if realistic - are quite sickening.

And the whole time I was the loneliest and most vulnerable I've ever been. Forbidden to have contact with a soul for weeks. I'm furious - again

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:05

Hi @JenniferBooth

I too thought it was going to be a comedy but gosh this is bringing up all sorts of feelings I thought I had buried away!

JenniferBooth · 03/10/2023 22:07

The cleaners wearing masks the "masks for the help"

I'm so very very angry!

MargaritaB · 03/10/2023 22:11

What I would like to know is who paid for all that booze? Did it come out of taxpayers' money?

Littleguggi · 03/10/2023 22:13

Fuming!!!

converseandjeans · 03/10/2023 22:18

It's awful watching it back. I feel so stupid. I teach and was in school or having to do live lessons on Teams. We were really careful & saw nobody.

PrincessScarlett · 03/10/2023 22:22

Brilliant and distressing viewing. The utter hypocrisy of the government is astounding. What is even more astounding is all those number 10 staff that thought Boris Johnson was some kind of god.

Roussette · 03/10/2023 22:22

It's disgusting. What I would feel like if I'd lost someone close to me during that awful time, I do not know

They took the piss and held the general public in complete disdain

JenniferBooth · 03/10/2023 22:23

its back to the default setting now that they have finished using ill/ disabled people as a tool to emotionally blackmail others to follow Covid restrictions. Now its back to cutting their benefits!

Thank you for the reminder.
I really want to watch this, but completely forgot it was on tonight.

Right, watching it now

PermanentTemporary · 03/10/2023 22:25

Fucking hell.

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:26

Almost as furious about the Brexit shambles

It was all a game to them wasn't it? A big fucking game.

WestwardHo1 · 03/10/2023 22:28

Lucy from Narnia appears to be the only one with even a bit of a conscience.

Sorry don't know the actress's name.

TheDogsMother · 03/10/2023 22:28

Wow this has made me furious all over again.

PermanentTemporary · 03/10/2023 22:28

Tbh it's genuinely helping watching this because seeing bits of the numpty conference has been so awful. I'm glad to see some anger and truth.

God they do look young. Bitter laughs at the 'what school did you go to' for the quiz teams.
